I hope he or she is proud of themselves, not only for noticing the details but calling it in. This person may have saved other lives.

Notes from press conference:

There was actually a video with provided them with a description of a vehicle which was corroborated by a tip from the public. That then led police to a car rental place in Massachusetts. Police then obtained footage from the car rental and learned his real name.

Suspect ID'd as Claudio Manuel Neves-Valente, 48 years old. He was a Brown student.

He was found dead with the satchel and two firearms. Evidence was found in the car which matched exactly what was seen at the scene in Providence.

I've had trouble with the content and tone of every single one of these pressers. All of them should be more somber. Stick to the facts, and don't break your arm patting yourselves on the back! So the killer WAS a Brown student! Why did he kill the MIT professor?

And what is his name? Claudio what? Repeat critical info--that's what people want to know.

At least they're giving credit to the witness who essentially solved this case. He better get the reward money!
