Wow, that article was hard to read. I know there is a video out there, but I can’t view it. These officers, seriously. You know this wasn’t their first offence. The nerve. This article states “She said four of the officers involved were wearing body cameras but did not activate them, so the cameras did not record audio of the incident.” I wonder if this adds to the charges for potential premeditation. They didn’t turn those cameras on for a reason. They likely didn’t mean to kill him sure, but they knew they were going to do something that they shouldn’t.

For them to do this with that many officers around,yet none of them seem to be worried about anyones bodycam being on? They all seem to know the drill. Wonder how many people this has happened to? Shocking and Vile, a bunch of cowards, 14 of them, beating a man when he's handcuffed with his hands behind his back. Real tough guys.

It appears this facility was cited for a concerning level of behavior in a 2022 review. This is 2024. There must be accountability by those operating and overseeing these facilities.

OSI is currently conducting an investigation into the death of Robert Brooks, who died on December 10, 2024 following an encounter with Department of Corrections and Community Supervision (DOCCS) officers at Marcy Correctional Facility in Oneida County. OSI has released videos from body-worn cameras that correction officers were equipped with during the incident.

-10 min in GT and Officer ?? Carry a clear bag and go out to sit in the van
-Sit in the van chatting and watching around for apx 8-10 mins
-17:58 Van Darts around the corner where the VICTIM is lying on the ground as if an attempted escape occured????
21:23 GT makes a call using the wall phone and grabs a report form or similar ??
22:40 IMO HE is Intentionally blocking his body cam view

I'll go further and say I find it very difficult to believe this sort of thing happens without higher prison authorities being aware and either directly or passively sanctioning it. Seems as if this sort of beat down is a regular occurrence, and if it is, then those in charge are aware of it and allowing it to continue. IMO

First thing that needs to happen is a broader investigation into the whole facility to determine how deep this cancer goes.

video of Michael Fischer is horrible, guard beating Brooks in the stomach with his own shoe, then another kicks him full force in the stomach while he is held, cuffed, and retrained on the gurney same bald guard drives his foot deep into Brooks stomach area and presses with all his might while using the nearby counter for added leverage.

I'm with @Tiff23fr, who is the young man in the tan hoodie who seems delighted (big grin at 5:32 mark) by the whole barbaric show? Is he staff, prisoner> Was it take your kid to work day? He seems to be an adult but a very young looking one?

-Earlier in the day, he had been transferred from Mohawk Correctional Facility to Marcy

The attorney general said Friday four of the corrections officers involved did not turn on their body-worn cameras, which were operating on “standby” mode and recording video without audio. Saland said it represented a “dereliction of duty” for the officers.

The failure to turn on their cameras could indicate “an intentional act,” he added, with officers “withholding or holding back that audio to protect themselves.”

Several uniformed individuals are around

This person puts on black gloves
Others put on blue medical gloves
Victim is against the wall

These two then appear to go back to a locker or cabinet while this camera exits the medical room.

21:34 Black Gloves have keys and handcuffs and are wiping them down at the transport vehicle
Officer lingers walking across outdoors lot interacting with other uniformed individuals along the way.
21:40 Blurrs camera / more people appear to have arrived including an older woman at the desk.
Video continues until 30 min runs out with interactions along the way including an officer looking down into the camera
