Robin Williams found dead inside his home

I know better, but this feels very personal. Mr. Williams has been a part of our lives for nearly 45 years!

And he was equally gifted in dramatic and comic roles.

So sad. I loved Mork and Mindy when I was a little kid. I have a picture of myself wearing rainbow striped Mork suspenders at my ninth birthday party (they were the hot fashion accessory among the 4th grade crowd that year). He will be missed.

I have no words. I just found out. I am so sad, I'm overwhelmed. He was a great talent- comedy and drama.

Robin, you were a big part of my life, and always will be. You are a part of so many of our lives.

Thank you for your gift.

As a comic, I will always miss you.

(Depression is such an awful disease)

Rest in peace. Love and prayers to your family and friends.

I never think much about celebrities. They wear their pants same as you and me.
But, Robin Williams brought me to post here this day. I've recollected the many moments this man brought a smile to my face! A creative, comedic genius, for sure! As well, often misunderstood and critiqued.

No clear, sane mind can comprehend the depths of where the mind must go in suicide. The most tragic of deaths...for the families and loved ones left behind. It happens all around us, here and there...and, how fortunate the living soul to have NOT ever experienced the aftermath of it.

I wish the family peace...especially the children.
Mr. Williams brought so much laughter in the world.

I've seriously been crying.
When trying to explain why.. to my 30 year old daughter. I realized this.
This current world that I'm trying to survive in. Is nearly apololic.
The atrocities in the middle east leave me stunned.
The actions of our American politicians. Leave me stunned.
Losing Robin Williams to suicide. I'm as saddened. As if we'd lost a great leader.
Well. Maybe. We just did.
I will miss you Robin.

I had the pleasure of seeing Robin Williams perform live a few years ago, his first performance after getting out of rehab.

He was a comedic genius.

I loved him in Mork & Mindy, remember his guest appearances as Mork, on Happy Days and Lavergne & Shirley.

I loved him in all of his movies.

He was a bright light.

Rest in Peace, Robin.

Nanu nanu. Happy Landings.

Even before they made it big in show business, they vowed that whoever made it would be obligated to help the less fortunate one.

Suffice to say, both Juilliard grads had an immeasurable beacon of light.

Comedian and award-winning actor Robin Williams apparently made that choice earlier this morning. Robin Williams has long been a sufferer of bipolar disorder, a mental illness where the person fluctuates between episodes of extreme energy, focus and productivity (mania) and severe depression. Apparently, he was in one of the episodes of depression when he took his own life. We mourn his loss.

Interesting article from April about Robin Williams and other comedians with depression/bipolar disorder.

Outstanding article on Williams by the CBC.

In 1992, Johnny Carson chose Robin Williams and Bette Midler to be his final guests.

Robin was among the last people to see John Belushi before he died of a drug overdose in 1982.

President Obama salutes Robin.

Stephen Spielburg comments on his pal.

Much more on Williams here.

Robin Williams' heartbreaking final Instagram photo that showed him holding his daughter, Zelda Rae Williams, when she was a young child:http://huff.to/1swbECS

Did he have children too with wife #3, or Susan ? I think a very young child, as he married her not long after divorce from the long term marriage to Marsha who ran a production company with him I think?

yes, I saw this too, the photo of his daughter when she was younger, and now I think he said, in her 20s.

Very sad for all the children, younger and older ones. Very sad. :(

added: I found this on a prior link here: In addition to his third wife, Williams is survived by his three children: daughter Zelda, 25; and sons Zachary, 31, and Cody, 19.

Zach was from wife #1. Zelda was the one he posted the photo of and was thinking of a few weeks ago on is Twitter. Perhaps none with Susan, the 3rd wife but i don't know for sure. :( Sad day for all of them indeed.
