Ron is on constant alert. He must stay one step ahead of the enemy. He has many so it is going to be difficult. He is a ticking bomb. Notice he ran to GMA's for protection prior to LE locating him. Has to get his ducks in order. On the other hand, Man, that misty can lie. The more I hear her, the easier it is to read her. Would have been nice to hear from the victim himsef, Ron, but he sends his minions to do his work for him. What a guy!~SNIP~
He
has too be, Whisp! He is the target of every troublemaker in town who wants to be part of the action. I know that many feel that Ron had some involvement with his child's disappearance. I don't happen to think he did, for many reasons. However, we all agree that we want the truth to come out and we all wish & hope that this little child is still alive. We all want the perp to be caught and brought to justice.
I think we all agree that Ron has made a lot of mistakes in his life and has some serious flaws. Especially in his younger days, he was wild, got involved with drugs, left school early, disregarded the law, and displayed a cocky, know-it-all attitude. Where we disagree is in what this means.
Anything is possible and I don't think any of us really know, as we don't know him & his family personally. IMO, he showed marked improvement in the last 4 or 5 years (less or no criminal activity, evidence that he moved away from drugs, employment, provision of home for children, childcare arrangements (I didn't say
good childcare arrangements :frown

, etc.). While he was far from perfect, he was trying, and I give him credit for this. Most of all, I listen to what Haleigh & Jr tell us about their father and this is that they love him and think he's the greatest. I cannot disregard this. This is the primary reason that I don't believe that he had anything to do with Haleigh's abduction. Please don't think this means that I think he's a wonderful guy! But, his actions reflect his personal peculiarities, just as my actions would reflect mine if I were in the same situation. One could read anything into them - something sinister or something benign, based on whether or not one thinks he had something to do with this crime.
Every jerk in town will be after this guy. I still feel he is innocent because there is really no clear evidence that he was involved, so I have sympathy towards him for being a target. Even if he used to be a petty criminal, he shouldn't have to have hatred added to the mix. Can you imagine having to deal with that after having lost a beloved child? He hasn't been charged for his petty crimes because he is one of hundreds of similar young men in Putnam County that have committed the same types of crimes, and they are all handled the same way. I don't think he is getting special treatment at all. PCSO has to focus on more serious crimes. Ron needs to hunker down, focus on Jr, get employment, get his GED, and
avoid brushes with the law at all costs.
My point is that it's very hard to be objective, but I think we have to all try to. If we think he is guilty, then we can pick apart everything he does as wrong and evil and more evidence of his guilt. If we think he is innocent, then we can devise a simple rationale for every mistep he makes and make him look saintly. PCSO has just revealed that they have new info on the days before Haleigh's abduction and the events of the weekend prior. This is hopeful information and, to me, it points the finger more directly at Misty and her friends. The Croslins are a family of seasoned con artists who steal, do drugs, lie, and are vengeful. Misty is a product of this upbringing, and it was unfortunate for Ron that he ever got involved with this family. We need to look harder at the time period that PCSO has indicated.
