And, once again we have a 911 call starring Misty and Ron. I love at the end when Misty, who refuses to give her name says "Well, never mind." I'm surprised the 911 operator didn't recognize Misty's voice. LOL.

and with two kids in the car? Feel threatened enough to call 911 yet did the two kids suddenly become less threatened...IMO, if I felt threatened with children in my car...that cell phone would be on speaker and I'd be asking for directions to the PD or where to meet the nearest LE....something is, once again, terribly wrong...

One of the things (out of many) that strikes me as "odd" in this case is how LE mentions Misty every time they talk about possible suspects...Misty knows more than she's telling, etc..Now, I believe Misty is deep in this thing too, but they never throw Ron's name out there, ever. How can you suspect Misty without suspecting Ron too ? It's obvious now that Ron is not separated from Misty and, IMO, there's a reason for that and it's not love.

Okay, we finally get something out of LE, as small as it is. So, something shows up in the days leading up to Haleigh's being missing. It must have something to do with Misty's lost weekend, you think? Perhaps someone has come forward with information about Ron's behavior concerning Misty's activities. Or some interaction he had with one of Misty's party peers. Is this what we have been waiting for?
As for the new information on the evening in question, is someone with inside information about the going-ons in the motorhome finally talking? But who? Just what we needed for a new year - puzzles.
I'm biting my lip right now. Grrrrr.

I am so so glad that Crystal stepped up and starting asking questions. I commend her for that. WE ALL WANT ANSWERS but especially her because she is Haleigh's mother. You would think Haleigh's FATHER would have done the same...BUT HE DID NOT AND HAS NOT! Wonder why? Anyway....

If Crystal would've never stepped up, imo, we would've never heard about the new info LE has reagarding the weekend before and the night Haleigh went missing.

Maybe we should go back and explore the weekend before Haleigh went missing (new thread)? IMO, it has something to do with the night that Haleigh went missing.

Searchfortruth, you really nailed this with your observation. It is amazing how Ron Cummings name never enters the picture when Putnam Co. LE is talking about persons of interest. They are very careful not to mention the number one suspect on the entire internet.

FBI were supposed to have been involved as consultants on the case early one but now they have just drifted off in the perverbial fog.

I, too, am perplexed as to why MC didn't want to leave her name. She's calling to report a supposed crime that could possibly leave her, RC and two children injured but doesn't want to tell them who she is? DEFINITELY says a lot! Did she think if she called in and reported this, LE would just go arrest CJ, no questions asked?

I'm still curious why CJ would have said there wasn't anyone else in the car. Yes, maybe RC told them all to get down, but he doesn't really seem to be overly concerned with anyone elses well-being.

Hey Yellow, perhaps RC wanted his passengers to get down out of sight so he'd have a better shot at CJ's car. jmo

IMO, the LE officer talked to RC at his GGM's home (per report), if there were a gun it was already locked away in the cabinet, and there was no need to search the truck.

Well darn, we know you can't possibly investigate a weapn locked in a cabinet, right? I mean if its locked in a cabinet where you can't question anything right? Not picking on you, just frustrated with the lack of investigation on the part of LE here.

Could Misty and Ron have made up the two kids in the car claim ? I listened to that 911 call pretty close and didn't hear the sound of a child once, did anyone else ? Maybe they made it up to increase their "victim status" with LE and to get out of the fact that Ron was threatening a guy with a gun ? I'm probably way off with this one, but the absence of any other voices in the background, but Ron's, makes me suspicious.

This is just a thought but would anyone else consider that PCSO is just covering their butts and trying to keep a release of information in this case from happening by the new information statement?

I know that the response that was gotten by the person that wrote the letter that requested all the information on this case was written and said that PCSO had only been investigating the case for 4 and half months, got sort of nasty with the original letter writer.

I also know that the person said that if PCSO denied the requested information that the person was going to ask the AG's office for assistance in the matter. Could it be that PCSO doesn't want the AG's office nosing around for some reason?

Hard to picture rc as an informant for LE, unless we consider how he would turn anyone in if he is touched. He is a hothead and not well liked therefore of not much value to LE.

I am stunned with how both r & m keep LE at bay though. They use LE for minor calls such as name-calling....this would not fly out here...can't imagine it working there either.

I keep hoping we are going to be blown away when they are arrested but I may be fooling myself.

The latest words by Greenwood though is definitely telling us they are on to something and it does not include a stranger abducting Haleigh. They are telling us that the previous days have something to do with Haleigh's demise. What do we know about the previous days. We have an idea of what misty was doing but nothing of what rc was doing with the exception he must have used a boat because LE confiscated it.

I have never thought that Ron was a drug informant however, it is very possible that he knows who is overlooking drug trade and maybe even benefiting from it. Could become very embarrassing if not down right career damaging if the info becomes public. Many, many times when drug trade is rampant there are high officials, (judges included) who help out during the trial phase to get charges kicked out of court. A little greasing of the palm helps thing slide right through.

BBM--this is what I am wondering...if there were two kids and if one was JR....they took the time to conceivably dump off the "gun" back at Sykes' house...but wouldn't LE have talked to these kids? Maybe that is what is in the other reports? Wouldn't look good if RC was out with a gun to DCF...KWIM?

This 911 call from Misty and Ron is infuriating. They both are all ready to show LE "where this guy lives", but they don't want to give their name when CJ allegedly tries to run them off the road (with two kids in the car) ? You can hear the truck speeding up besides CJ's at several points in his 911 call and still LE has done nothing.

IIRC, Misty wasn't too happy about giving her name during the 911 call when she was robbed (or whatever happened in that area of town). Why all the nervousness about giving LE your name ? And why can't Ron call LE for once ? He's more than able to offer commentary in the background while his girlfriend handles LE. It reminds me of the 911 call when Haleigh went missing and all of his, in the background, comments. WHY is Ron so afraid ?

I don't know, but I will be very surprised if Putnam County ever arrests Ron for anything.

You made an excellent point and to this day I have not figured out why LE didn't catch on to the first 911 call when Haleigh went missing. Ron was there, so why didn't he call 911? He had already arrived and told Misty to call. Why? Why did he not call? I asked this way back and the only reply I got was that Ron was to distressed possibly to make that call. Then it was said he got home after Misty woke and that is why she called. But I thought he was the one that told her to call when he arrived?
If I came home and my children were missing I would call 911 while I turned my house upside down looking for them, not b*thing at LE and the significant other. Why didn't Ron call LE when Haleigh went missing? Sorry, I got off topic.

I am just sitting here shaking my head at this entire thing.

I know if I was afraid and behind someone who had threatened my life I would tailgate them enough that if they slammed on their brakes I would run into the back end of them, I also would keep trying to pass them every chance I got so I could get in front of them and have them following me instead of staying way back waiting for police to arrive. It is amazing that you don't hear his voice change or hear him striking RC's truck like he claimed happened but wait they found no damage so maybe it was just a love tap going at about 5mph. I would also wait to mention the threat on my life until much later in the conversation - I would make sure LE knows that I just know he has a gun in the car but LE says its ok because he has a permit - and then much later I would mention oh ya he pulled a gun out and yelled at me - yet we hear no RC yelling on the tape but CJ could clearly make out exactly what RC said. I would also make sure it was ok if I pulled a gun and shot RC if RC pulled a gun on me first. Then after I was terrified and I lost sight of the person who had threatened my life - I would turn around and go back in his direction realizing that I would pass him on the road again.

I have no doubt RC and CJ both had a gun in their vehicles (pics of CJ with guns so yes he does have them) but it is a he said she said situation except one of their stories don't make sense at all. I am sure both were contributing to the situation and at fault. But it is a good excuse as any to say see RC never takes responsibility he won't go to jail. If one goes to jail they all need to go to jail but there is that little matter of pesky evidence that gets in the way. CJs 911 call doesnt make sense and there was no damage to either vehicle so that kinda hurts CJs case and no one can prove RC pulled a gun.

So fed up with all this.

For some reason, I can see LE not questioning the kids. The complaint of a gun being waved out the window wasn't taken that seriously, IMO. But, really I don't know if they talked to the kids.

ITA, what is so great about RC that makes the LE handle him with kid gloves?
He never gets anything but a slap on the hand..........same with Misty......

Just my guess for what it's worth - but LE has something bigger and better to spring on Misty and Ron (in due time). An arrest at this time for anything short of a gun shot and attempted murder would give a defense attorney an opportunity to point to police harassment or LE rushing to judgement.
