OKay it is obvious there is a feud blazing here. Seriously though. A rat in the mailbox. You have got to be pretty angry and want to send a very loud message to do something like that. I don't understand what is going on here. And is it correct that this rat incident happened before the fight at GGS? So if the person who was on the receiving end of the rat was scared of what the rat might mean.....why would he go over to the Cummings in the first place. If someone put a dead rat missing a head in my mailbox I don't think I would be too eager to head over there without calling police for help first. On the other hand I can understand the receiver of the rat to take his sister very seriously if she was in the home of the rat killer and said please come get me.

Something is going on. There is much more to this than meets the eye.

Elle, the article states that this rat incident happened on the 8th....that's two days after Ronald was arrested and released.

I'm all for giving him a little Sodium Thiopental (Pentothal)...Misty too..
IMHO...Might as well give it to all players involved... We would get the information we want, people would be cleared, and justice for Haleigh would be served...JMO

I totally support that idea. I have the feeling there would be a mountain of information gathered if this occurred.

Whew, okay thank you for that debs. I was going a little berserk there for a second. So, headless rat, in the mailbox and a neighbor that thinks it was RC's truck and recognized him at the mailbox. Nope I agree with Annie, this does not sound good at all.

Count me in, I don't believe it.

It would be very unlikely that the neighbor would sign a written statement for the sheriffs department if she was not sure of what she saw, as she would then be open to charges of filing a false report.

I just wanted to mention that the article I read said the rat incident happened 2 days AFTER the battery incident.

this is what happens to rats.....jmoo

I'm a big fan of mobster history and documentaries. Loved Godfather and the Sopranos as well as read a lot of factual stories on mobsters lives. Usually a headless rat is left as a warning to keep your mouth shut or you could suffer the same fate as the rat. It can also be interpreted as a threat for bringing in LE.

bolded by me, I agree

Ugh...I truly hope the neighbor is mistaken. One thought, though...if MC was in the truck, couldn't she be charged with violating the restraining order she took out against her brother? I know it was for her protection, but I understand that BOTH parties to a RO are expected to stay away from each other.

Both parties must adhere to the RO, and I don't know that the court would bother charging Misty if she chose to contact Hank2 for violation since it was a TRO she was granted with a hearing for an RO scheduled. The articles I have read have not identified the second person questioned.

Yes Cranky, I read wrong. Makes more sense that it would be after but why would RC risk everything that is at stake right now to do something like that. Surely he realized people know his truck and what not. Gosh, I admit I might be having a blond moment but is there something significant that a dead rat with it's head missing is supposed to mean?

ETA Just read lonetraveler's post about the significance of the rat.

If the story is accurate, then I wonder if the driver of the truck was on the side of the mailbox, it would seem so. If the passenger side was the side next to the mailbox when the headless rat was delivered, then maybe Misty helped in the "threat".

The neighbor is quoted as stating she saw Ron put something in the mailbox, not the passenger.

I find this all very childish behavior in my opinion. If you are out to hurt someone, you don't warn them with something like this, you just hurt them. I think this just shows once again that Ron doesn't face things head on, no pun intended to the rat...LOL.

If this was a gangster movie, the message would be "Keep your mouth shut."

Sorry, I posted the same thing before reading your post. That is what I get reading backwards. I'm hoping that Misty's brother knows something about Haleigh's disappearance that Ron is concerned about. I hope that if Hank Jr. isn't involved with Haleigh's disappearance, he will be offered protection if he will spill the beans..........

I guess it would be simple enough to check all traffic cams along the route from GGMS to Hank2's place. Big Brother is everywhere else, why not there?

Reminds me of the bogus Bolo, and the recanted "he tried to kill me" carp.

As grave as this issue is.......I gotta say, that was a lil funny.

Has anyone checked the court records to see if TC filed a request for a TRO for Ron after this incident? And has a ruling ever been made granting the one that Misty filed for, yet?

I guess someone has to ask the obvious question here....if they have a witness to this incident...why isn't Ronald back in jail and Misty sitting beside him? Were they charged with a crime about a dead rat? Were they arrested? The answer is so obvious. No. I would have to say there is either no basis for the complaint or it wasn't Ronald and Misty.
