I thought the following comment in the last paragraph right before what was posted above is VERY interesting. It also comes from Ron's ex attorneys website.

PRESS RELEASE- HALEIGH CUMMINGS CASE

June 29, 2009

RE: Haleigh Cummings Case

This press release is in response to the Friday, June 26, 2009 dig and excavation on land owned by Crystal Sheffield's family in Baker County, Florida.

Forty police officers from five agencies reportedly participated.

The following is a quote from Lieutenant Johnny Greenwood, spokesman for the Putnam County Sheriff's Office. The quote was printed in the Saturday, June 27, 2009 Gainesville Sun:
"We are going back over our notes and conducting secondary searches. There has not been any new information leading us that way. We are pretty much going to dig up the horse... There is no information that she (Haleigh) is buried there at all".

Animal remains were recovered, as expected.

This office certainly hopes that no one in law enforcement is operating on the theory that Haleigh was murdered by her mother's family.

Besides, lil momma, are we the least surprised if RC's attorney and/or his press releases would try to shift the focus, to implicate others or point the finger away from his own client lol...? I mean, isn't that what they're paid to do? JMO :waitasec:

:parrot:

Shift the focus? LOL. Back on to his client you mean?

There were 40 LE at Crystal's with dogs and digging....maybe in your mind the focus was on RC that day, but I think most people looking at the case, would say it was very much on Crystal & her family. Or are you saying Ron allegedly killed Haleigh and took the chance of burying her in Crystal's yard and that's why LE was there?

ITA! Thanks for the reminder.

I am soooo pleased the Cummings have asked for TES to come back and they are!!!! TM & the Cummings family will hold a press conference Monday. I am sooooo pleased TES is back...in addition to my hope that they find Haleigh (alive and well) I think they will also offer the much maligned Cummings family some deeply needed support.

Do you have a link that states it was the Cummings family who asked Tes to return. tia

Yosande...it did not say the Cummings family, per se, it said the family of Haliegh Cummings...

Somehow it got interpreted to mean the paternal side....could be, but that is not how it was written...it is open and does not say who called NeJame.

What kind of statement is that? I can't decipher it because I am not sure whether it is meant in earnest or facetiously (which would be in extremely poor taste). Can anyone help me here?

I don't but common sense will tell you it was the Cummings family who asked Tim and Co to return as it will be Tim and the CUMMINGS FAMILY who will be holding the press conference on Monday. Crystal and her family don't have the last name of CUMMINGS. So it has to be Ron and his family.

Personally I think two people should have been arrested that evening. Both Ron and the brother-in-law. They were both acting like two teenagers poking at each other. Misty shouldn't call her parents and brother and involve them in her problems unless she means business. If she knew her parents and brother at all she should have known they would come over anyway and it would create problems.

I think that Ron is running on pure anxiety at this time. I wonder if he is taking an antidepressant to help with the anxiety? If my little girl was missing and had been for six months I would probably be like a bomb ready to go off.
I probably would have been ready for a fight too. I know LE has to deal with this and Ron will have to pay whatever price there is to pay. If Ron was the person that a lot of people think he is I think we would have seen a lot more explosions then this within the past six months.

As far as the rat goes....is the neighbor a friend of Misty's parents? If Ron did this it is really a juvenile thing to do and getting even doesn't really do any good except to cause more problems. I highly doubt that it was meant as a threat that he was going to kill the brother-in-law. Let's not get quite so dramatic. With Tim and Co coming I think that Ron will settle down as he has something to hope for now.

Just wanted to add.....if Ron had done something to Haleigh I don't think he would have been on his knees begging Tim and Co. not to leave the first time they were here....and he sure wouldn't be asking him to come back.

Yep, the three D's of the defense attorney: delay, deny, deflect.

I agree Shaymus. The fact that these efforts began with Crystal and her family and then was reinforced by her own Attorney and Kims various involvements in this case. IMO Kim P. had a job description that was not origanaly revealed in her original mission statement to help Crystal with the media. (Her elevated mission of slander against Ron and Misty) She has delayed, denied and deflected this investigation from the begining. Both of them are not the object we need to argue about,it would be more productive to see if it is possible to find all out of state connection to both Families. JMO

Ita texasmommy, and hope this is being investigated, I believe it is very much a factor, and just pray they will bring HaLeigh home soon to Ron and Junior and family.

If the investigators make a public statement and name the "Key" to solving the crime and the parent of the missing child marries the "Key", do you expect the court of public opinion to make excuses for him and say, "We understand Ron, we really, really do..?"

He married the "key" to the investigation that could help solve the crime of his missing child, what part of that gives you a warm fuzzy feeling?

:clap::clap::clap::clap: I so agree with you Bobbisangel.

Haleigh is a Cummings and both sides are her family last I checked? Hopefully LE has better things to do than to keep track of the surnames of different sides of the family. And TES is are returning to search they had previously been asked to take part in.... for all we know the police asked them to return now that they have more info (if they do) or now that the vegitation is different than the previous search.

Maybe both sides of the family have been in contact with TES throughout the months that have passed. I don't personally think it matters who called. It doesn't make me think the other party is guilty and it doesn't make me think the party that did deserves accolades for pursuing the location of their child. MOO

I would say by this stage of the investigation, LE and everyone else know that you do not consider Haleigh's family anything except the Cummings AND the Sheffield/Griffis. To call Haleigh's family only by the Cummings name would not be acceptable by her mother's side, imo, and it is painfully clear. No one in the media has made that error before to my knowledge.

Ronald has every faith in Tim Miller and TES from what I saw before. He begged for Tim to stay and I think he believes, imo, if anyone can bring Haleigh home...it will be Tim. I happen to agree wholeheartedly that if it is meant to be...Tim and TES will see to it she comes home. I have no doubt the Cummings family asked for Mark N. and for Tim, but I feel that Tim is going to be there for both sides of Haleigh's family. I think he is a pretty fair minded individual.

Ronald needs two strong male figures in his life who are positive role models and who will be there for him. I hope they can help him focus the attention back on Haleigh and move the case forward now. This is the best news we have had for Haleigh since Tim arrived on the scene last time.

The "NeJame, TES Join Search for Haleigh" thread was closed because of all the "nitpicking" back and forth about who called etc., etc. Let's not start the same "nitpicking" in the individual threads.

As far as the rat goes, it IS a Federal offense from everything I've read on the subject because the carcass of a dead rat renders the box unfit to receive mail - germs, disease, that sort of thing.

Yes, I agree "If Ron did this it is really a juvenile thing to do. . .". However, it is also a Federal offense and needs to be treated as such. IF this "juvenile thing" is treated as a good ole boy prank by LE, the good citizens in that jurisdiction need to rise up and complain to HIGHER authorities.

Whether or not you view it is a threat really has no validity. There ARE laws and like it or not, we ALL must obey them or pay the consequences. IF there are NO consequences, the voters need to do something about it, if not right now, maybe in the next election.

My opinion only

The lock looked like it was in the place where a normal lock would be. The one we saw on TV was a normal lock at the standard height.

There is something very wrong in Ron's stories. It is just double speak and he uses it all the time. Nothing he says is the obvious truth as we see it. He twists and turns facts to look better.

This speech pattern is concerning. It is easy to recognize that he is overly involved in pumping up an image for himself....one that will be approved of by any naysayers. This is not meant as snarly but as an observation that one should watch and listen to what he is saying.

He exaggerates and deflects. He is highly manipulative when he is seeking to convince. His emotional state is one of concern for me and always has been. He does not have good coping skills and tends to hysteria when pressed. His strength lies in his weapon of choice and he sees that as his power.

It is hard to completely know if his behavior is really his make-up or his dependence on pain meds. Has anyone ever found out about all of his injuries and why he is on these medications?
