It's been hashed and rehashed about Ron and losing his job. We won't really ever know the exact (or even all of the) reasons. I imagine that his employer did not feel like keeping a probationary employee around was worth the trouble of the media circus surrounding said employee. They managed to use their own rules to their advantage. Ron really didn't have much recourse as he was still in the probationary period of his employment.
People always say that he didn't "bother calling" his employer. I sincerely doubt that. If he hadn't called his employer, how would he have gotten paychecks or received the donated vacation days from other employees in the early days after Haleigh went missing?
Can any of you say that a new job would be your priority when your baby has gone missing and your every breath is being scrutinized by the media? Seriously...I think there are a lot of unreasonable expectations stated about BOTH parents in this case. I honestly believe that both Ron and Crystal have done their best given their realm of experience, their environment, their upbringing, and their individual abilities. I don't know what I would do if my baby was missing. I can guess, though...and it would more likely resemble being horribly depressed and afraid and less likely that I would focus on some of the issues so many here expect RC and CS to do.
MY OPINION
BBM. Perhaps you're right about Ronald's top priority not being a job at that point. But what about Crystal? She is still expected to keep up her payments, at least for Butterbean, is she not, or am I missing some information where the court let Crystal off the hook for payment because she's too upset, as well as ill? Does anyone have a link to Crystal being given a break in support because her baby is missing and the media is scrutinizing her every move?
My opinion only
