With the new details emerging in this case, I really have to wonder if Ron knew anything that happened. I always thought it was interesting that he made the statement that follows about his new bride.

And Ronald told me to “stop right there, I know what you are going to ask me, yes was she f*cking a black guy? Yes, how do I feel about her f*cking a black guy? I know this, if I didn’t marry her, I would never, you hear me? What do you do to your enemies?” I said (Cobra) “You keep them close.” Ronald says “Exactly, and if I didn’t marry her, I don’t know where in the hell my, where am I going to look for my son? (Cobra meant to say daughter).”

I wonder if he was encouraged by someone else to marry her so he could keep her close and try to get some information from her?

BBM.. Agreed, however I really wasn't referring to what you stated as much as i was the person who agreed with you that Ron C married Misty so he could find out what happened to Haleigh..

Personally, I'm not buying that scenario..IMHO Ron C and Misty BOTH know what happened to Haleigh..And that is the reason for the marriage... JMO..

And I made reference to the dogs thrown on another trail due to the fact I believe the dogs were given incorrect information the night Haleigh disappeared and were put on the wrong trail then considering LE was told that night that Haleigh had been abducted out of Ron C's bed.


Looks like NOW though he is getting ready to throw Misty under the bus..
After six months and him stating at first that Haleigh was stolen out of his bed, then changing his story to she was sleeping on the toddler mattress and he knew exactly where thosse beds were positioned eventhough he was at work when she was allegedly abducted.. He is NOW saying Misty never even went to bed that night. The bed was made when he got home.... never slept in...Imagine that...

Thank you for clearing that up gem. This is the first thread I came into this evening and I missed the new info about the bed. If your post is correct then my heart is breaking. I just keep waiting for something to be true. Anything. Now, it appears we have more lies to weed through and in my opinion that equates to less hope that Haleigh will be found alive.

Well, does everyone remember when Haleigh was abducted and Misty was away from RC for a few days? She went back to her brothers house or wherever, maybe RC was afraid Misty wasn't going to come back, then he would never find out what happened to Haleigh. Hence the marriage?




IMHO.. I'm NOT buying that he married her because he was afraid she would leave and he would never know what happened to Haleigh..

That's fine Nobody ever said you had buy into my opinions or beliefs. I was simply thanking another poster for bringing up a detail I had not thought about in some time now. Personally, I have not ruled out that is the reason for the marriage, as I don't feel most posters here actually know what is going on in the mind of these people, it is certainly a possibility to me.

I have not nailed myself to a theory or perp yet, so that leaves me pretty open-minded, that's all

That's fine Nobody ever said you had buy into my opinions or beliefs. I was simply thanking another poster for bringing up a detail I had not thought about in some time now. Personally, I have not ruled out that is the reason for the marriage, as I don't feel most posters here actually know what is going on in the mind of these people, it is certainly a possibility to me.

Well you replied to my post speculating that the reason Ronald married Misty was to keep his enemies closer (to sum it up quickly).
So your explanation about the dogs simply isn't clear to me, sorry. Maybe Misty did throw LE off the trail, but I just don't get the point you were trying to make with it, that's all.

I highly suspect Misty was not alone in throwing LE off the trail. Ron C, I'm certain, did his part to help.... JMO..

Why couldn't Ron be infatuated enough to want to believe some "accident story" Misty told him? Ron went and got Misty and brought her home after she'd been with another man. That sounds pretty besotted to me.

I have a hard time seeing Ron marrying a 17-year-old as a noble sacrifice...

I have thought that since day one. MC is a manipulative person...she has had a hard life and apparently nothing is out of her realm to get what she wants. If Haleigh was taken by someone known to MC...I am not saying saw her taken....or arranged it....nothing like that..

I do believe RC married her to find out where his baby is and what happened to her. Had he not given in to what she wanted she might have bolted to TN,MI or elsewhere she has family or run off with the first guy who would marry her.

We have had more factual statements from LE and others since Haleigh's birthday. Hopefully, very soon we will know more and someone will crack under some pressure. I will never believe he had anything to do with her disappearance. Other issues, yes, I do believe he is hot-headed and impatient with his kids.

Ron was never besotted with Misty, he used her for his personal needs and to babysit. The story about WBG and the weekend tryst would have been enough
to send him over the wall. Ron only loves himself, you must always remember that when considering his actions. I'm not sure of his actual involvement but it has to be substantial for him to overlook her infidelity. I think the on the spot marriage as others have mentioned was to make him look respectable. But if and its a big IF Misty is not to be considered a juvenile it would have
been a foolish decision for her. These are only my opinions.

Dear Lord, please keep Haleigh safe in your arms tonight and bring her home soon.

When they got married it was being said that it may have to do with husband
wife confidentiality and that they couldn’t testify against each other.
Then it came out that it wasn’t true and you actually could testify against each other.
I remember Ron and Misty were on a show when they mentioned that and I
remember thinking that Misty looked really surprised. I thought at that time
maybe that is what Ron told her when they got married….
“don’t worry… if you did anything and I find out about it I can’t testify
against you”

You may have a valid point there about the sex charges.

1. Power and control

2. Misty's casual sex with someone else just isn't that a big of deal to him

3. Fear that she would press charges against him for stat rape

4. Fear that she would release information she had about him
