Exactly what was Ronald's purpose in taking pictures of the same injuries, then? If my child came home with bruises all over hell, you bet your bippy I'd be taking pictures. I'd be asking all sorts of questions. I am sure it made Ronald and Teresa very uncomfortable to have to answer those questions, too. I would surmise it was for those reasons that they documented the bruises themselves.

Maybe you answered your own question. If Haleigh fell off playground equipment or even on the playground while at school those pictures would be necessary. I can absolutely see how it might have been important for Ronald to take the pictures and make certain that there was a report on file at school if there were previous claims filed with DCF by anyone. He should have had them. Him taking them would make sense but in my opinion it makes no sense for someone to have them and not report having them until AFTER Haleigh went missing.

And I can see an equally valid reason for Crystal to have them. I can see easily how taking them, asking the questions, and having to accept the answer, but reserving the photos in case there is another incident. Happens all the time.

I cannot fault Crystal for showing these things to her attorney. It would be the smart thing to do, especially since the next incident was that her daughter disappeared.

Possibly, or there is a chance that if there were injuries or problems that came up after Haleigh's bruises went away, he was protecting his child. I think Haleigh had Medicaid and if they (medicaid) refused to pay medical bills or for x-rays or any other costly test based on any insurance policy that Haleigh might have been covered under at school, Ronald would need to have the pictures and the report on file that the fall happened at school. You could be right Elle. JMO there is a long history of false claims in general, and false claims aimed at Ronald.

Yet, this man, suffering all these "false" claims.......married the girl under whose "care" his daughter went missing, defending her right and left on TV, and then divorcing her after a half-hearted "I don't know if I can believe her Ms Nancy."

Sketchy.

I don't believe that Crystal was the one who took or saved the pictures. I respect your opinion though.

.......and yet, she is consistently blamed for it. Interesting. I'm well aware Connie took the pictures. I'm also well aware that she has every right to do so as a concerned step-grandparent. I'm just completely confused why the mother's side of the family is trashed for having the pictures...the very same sort of pictures the father's side of the family took.

Wonderful to know that you think that I am insincere. If I was concerned about what people thought of me and my ideas I wouldn't post. I can assure you that I absolutely do not think I am better than anyone else on this forum and if I was here to further raise up myself I sure am a glutton for punishment because not many agree with anything that I say. I have only appreciation for those that contribute on WS.

I don't think you're insincere. I think that when you post your sadness that 'most would rather raise Ron's past' in investigating Haleigh's death, you set up a 'them vs. me' paradigm that's divisive. I think I have more faith in 'mosts' intentions than you do. I've got a warm and fuzzy feeling that if one takes the time to register and post, they care dearly primarily about one little individual -- Haleigh. I take that as a given.

When you've got the 'most' on the side of evil and darkness and you're on the side of goodness and light, it's understandable the the 'mosts' are gonna get bent outta shape.

To bring it back ontopic, I find Ron intensely dislikable. In a Casey Anthony kinda way. That's the biggest reason I post on this forum so infrequently. Some can separate their feelings and gut instincts from the pure cold but very limited facts. I can't. I think he's a bully. I find the idea of people fearing him laughable. I got a feeling he'd fold like a cheap suit if someone with some gumption and good sense stood up to him. I think he's a user. I think he is so insecure in his manhood that he's incapable of sustaining a relationship with a woman who is his equal. I find his swagger very Casey-like. I think that his actions in obtaining custody were more about retaliation than true love for his children.

I just pure-tee don't like him. And because I feel this so deeply, I am a piss-poor websleuther. That and my lack of analytical skills that many of the other posters have. But consider me among those who think that Ron's past actions are a valid indicator of his guilt or lack of.

I honestly find your reply confusing. Which side is the side of goodness and light and which is the side of evil and darkness? I honestly have no way of knowing whether or not I "like" anyone simply by reading about their life on a crime forum. For myself I refuse to align myself with anyone except Haleigh. Right now I do not suspect that Ronald was involved in her disappearance nor do I suspect that Crystal was involved in disappearance.

Your last paragraph makes much sense though. That is the exact reason that I refrain from "liking" or "disliking" anyone.

Blaise I am the Queen of Confusion and I understood your post perfectly and agreed with you! Thank you, Amen.

On another note...in my experience with attys and child support, if you had a client with unpaid child support and you looked at the amount and it was unsupportable in light of your clients income or non income, the first thing attys usually do whether paid or not is file a motion to reduce the amount of child support. This would prevent it further accruing at such a rate until some decisions could be made. This is just my opinion based on court actions in my state. And it is just an opinion that this would be a normal first step in such a situation.

Since I still don't understand the post perhaps I might need to wear your crown for awhile. :innocent: Perhaps if other members wouldn't read my posts trying to determine who I am posting in favor of I wouldn't be accused of representing good and light or darkness and evil. No offense intended Blaise, I am just being honest. I am glad we are all here to discover the truth. If we could get information more often than once or twice every few months I think it would help a lot.

I know what Crystal did debs. KP offered her services and are you suggesting that it was upon the advice of KP to get the support payments lowered 1 month after Haleigh went missing? When she wasn't paying support to begin with? I don't believe that for a second.

In light of the support allegations, I think the producing of the abuse allegations makes much more sense though. Considering that someone in the Sheffield family took the pictures long ago after the playground incident. Everything certainly is developing an ebb and flo. Why not offer up the pictures when they were taken if someone was concerned about Haleigh and RJ being abused? Honestly, if someone took those pictures because they thought Ronald hit Haleigh then why didn't they call the police right then!! Never mind DCF. Hitting a child is assault.

I know that I would have called the police. We do not know if Crystal filed a report with DCF. We do not know if perhaps Crystal was erring on the side of caution and questioning the discrepancy (as she saw it) in the injury as stated and the injury as it appeared.

I really could care less about Crystal. This is about HaLeigh and also JR, and the fact that currently their Father has been seen with a weapon in his mouth, in the past has assaulted people and tried to intimidate a witness. He and his teen bride were the last people with HaLeigh. Where is she Ronald?

Hi PorcineGranny!

You are so right about the atty & child support, i do live in FL, and have been dealing with Child Support for the last 6 1/2 years. All i can tell you is that if your child support is through the Florida department of revenue then the child support can only be modified every 3 years and there has to be a 10% or $25 difference.

Huh? The parents are in a custody dispute and the child disappears from the custodial parent's home, and you are suggesting that it is linked to what? a playground incident? When statistics show that the non-custodial parent or family is far more likely to abduct a child? Or have motive because they don't want to pay child support? That is not to say that I think Crystal's family abducted Haleigh, for that or any reason. That is just to say that under the old rule of "who benefits," it certainly wasn't Ron.

There is ZERO evidence that Haleigh was abused by her father. He was investigated and case closed. Nothing like that came up at the custody hearing. Read the documents. So why the slippery connection--"the next 'incident' was that her daughter disappeared"? We don't even know there was a first incident, and we have no evidence that Ron is involved in Haleigh's disappearance. When has Crystal alleged that Ron abducted or did worse to Haleigh? Did I miss something?

Why should Crystal care about pics of Haleigh falling off playground equipment when she openly admitted that she didn't even bother getting up to take her to her doctor's appointments? Crystal wanted the pics to sue the school or something I'm sure, IMO it certainly wasn't because she cared enough about Haleigh.

I just don't understand all of this undying support for a woman who didn't want her children and cared so little about them that she couldn't even bother to get out of bed to take her child to a doctor's appt.

If anyone of us show any support of Ronald, we are accused of being a "groupie," of being in love with him, or of thinking he is so hot. For me, none of those reasons are applicable. Right now I support Ronald just as I supported Mark Lunsford when he was bashed to high heaven about his appearance and his actions and look how that situation turned out and the same thing happens over and over again. Take a look at the Somer Thompson forum and you'll see exactly what I mean. Somer's poor mother has been run through the ringer just as Ronald, Mark, the Groene's kids' father, etc. If at all possible, I try to give the benefit of the doubt to the parent of the child that is missing unless it clearly slaps me in the face; however, that hasn't been the case for me regarding Ronald. On the other hand, Crystal having something done to Haleigh so as not to pay child support has certainly crossed my mind. Anyway, all of this is just IMO.

I would support Ron, but he self admittedly did not contact the LE for 5 months for any updates on his daughter, you would never ever see Mark Klaas or Lunsford being so nonchalant with the missing child situation, ever imo-

Also, yeah, Crystal didn't take them to Doctors appointments, shes just the worst person ever, but if Haleigh missed another day of school or was tardy just one more time, Ron was going to jail, so they are both guilty of being lazy, at least one parent can admit their faults, and its not Ronald- hes never even been involved with drugs before! Such a crock!

Crystal's support the lowest amount that could be given to her. There was no more lowering that could be done.
