Gee...how many times have we said that Ronald was simply frustrated, angry, and filled with the terror of having a missing child?! He had no real intention of harming anyone that night.Take note that for all of RC's talk, he didn't have his gun with him outside..so I guess he was not going to shoot any perp after all. RC talks real big..
I noticed what could be a mistake in this report, imo (at least, I hope it is a mistake). It says a canvass of the neighborhood was not conducted during the 6 hours spent at the scene which is the Investigative Time given at the end of the report.
You bet they would!! They had no reason to take Ronald's gun, but they did have a reason to make certain of where it was located and to insure it was unloaded. The police report indicates gun was inside the residence. I am sure LE checked the gun out that was inside the house for their own safety.
If there was an additional list, it would be mentioned in the section where it was applicable.Well, maybe there is a list on page 5...we do not have it..so all is moot.
No, it doesn't. They took down her information from Teresa in order to contact her, imo. If they had spoken directly to Crystal, they would know she did not have a job and would list her as unemployed instead of UNKNOWN. They have everyone else's job status completed.I noticed Crystal was on the report...that should mean they spoke with her. She must have been there within six hours because the report was completed in that time.

I remember reading about the gun being taken and given back, but I have searched and searched for the article that talks about the gun and LE and have not been able to find it as of yet. I am beginning to wonder if it is something I read downstairs and there was no article, but I will keep looking and let you know what I come up with.
In what country? The gun should have been taken...in fact any firearms in that house should have been taken given the emotional status of the parent.
On this report, during the first six hours..no gun was taken.
Are there 2 police reports??
I was searching about the gun that was returned to Ronald and on this thread it was said the gun was listed on the original police report

Yes. Excellent point, Busy!!As well as her birthdate being correct.
We know they took their phones for a while and that isn't on the report either. Remember them saying they gave the family a list of all they took when they said something was missing that should be with Haleigh? I don't think that report is a final list.
I don't think he would have told them he had a gun in the house if he had removed it already. What would be the point in that?

They cannot legally walk into his house and take his gun. He did not have it in his possession as it was in the house. The so-called threats were made under dire circumstances as he had just learned his child was missing. This would not be unusual for LE to hear from a victim's family.Well, if they had checked for the gun, and maybe they did, it would seem as if it should've been confiscated. They have a parent who is so upset, he is unable to provide any useful information in the search for his child. That same parent is threatening to use a automatic handgun. I would think that the gun would be removed as a precaution. The report indicates that Ron was taken to the police station for questioning, so maybe that's why they didn't take the gun ?
In what country?Ronald legally owned the gun and had every right to keep it in his possession...upset or not. He obviously made no attempt to grab for it or in any way make the officers feel threatened by the gun in the house. They could not take it without just cause. They didn't have any. Even LE saw that Ronald was distraught over his daughter's disappearance and was not going to cause harm to anyone.
Anytime LE enters a residence, if the person tells them there is a weapon in the home...they want to know exactly where it is located for their protection. I would say it is a DAYUM good reason to want to verify it!What would be a reason to verify the gun's location and ensure it is unloaded ?
