Back to the gun, I have been searching for the last hour or so and havent found any media articles about the gun being confiscated by LE that night. I saw the post were it is referenced in the police report, unfortunately my link for the police report is only pulling up a few lines then freezes I will try again in a bit. I have read that darn report a million times but don't recall the gun being discussed as far as LE taking it, but I could of missed it.

Busy, they don't show anything taken in the weapon section. The only thing they typed in were the Cassette/CD/Recordings, 1, white and the picture TN gave them. It has N/A typed in the weapon section.

The narrative does say he had a Beretta in the house.

According to this report, no gun was taken at that time. The gun was mentioned in reference to Ronald being obviously upset and spouting off to the officer.

It was Not Applicable. That was a list of items seized. The narrative in the report said Ron said he had a Beretta in the home but it wasn't taken unless it is listed on a second officer's report.

They would take things that were given to them or they noticed on the person during this time...

Maybe they had a CD given to them from the computer or music device or downloads from ipod/phone.

Unless he typed CD instead of DVD. I guess we won't know this stuff for sure until they make an arrest if they ever do.

According to the officer, it was inside the home.

One of the first questions they ask with regards to missing children is do you have photos - it could very easily of just been a cd with photos on it.

Ron said he had one inside, that doesn't mean it was there. He may have been blowing smoke again...

We could speculate all day on a CD...I know many of my dvds and cds discs are white though.

The police report indicates gun was inside the residence. I am sure LE checked the gun out that was inside the house for their own safety.

We know they took their phones for a while and that isn't on the report either. Remember them saying they gave the family a list of all they took when they said something was missing that should be with Haleigh? I don't think that report is a final list.

I don't think he would have told them he had a gun in the house if he had removed it already. What would be the point in that?

Take note that for all of RC's talk, he didn't have his gun with him outside..so I guess he was not going to shoot any perp after all. RC talks real big..

I noticed what could be a mistake in this report, imo (at least, I hope it is a mistake). It says a canvass of the neighborhood was not conducted during the 6 hours spent at the scene which is the Investigative Time given at the end of the report.
