If Misty is so "afraid of Ron". Her family was there to "save" her. She could have left but she defended her husband. Ron hitting or fighting with Misty is not Fact.

IMO, Misty is lying about being hit. She is lying about who really hit her. Spouses usually are so afraid of the abuser that when LE shows up at the door, they make up convenient excuses for any visible injuries and refuse to accuse the abuser. IMO, Misty is extremely afraid of Ron.

You don't know that and I read the police report and it sounds like a bunch of over exaggeration to me. I hope Misty and Gma Sykes are down at the police filling charges against all the Croslins.

I do think that Misty asked her family to come get her. and Misty again lie to LE to protect Ron. I agree with Patty G. the phone records will come out and than we know who called who. (I hope) with the sunshine law we should see some docs.
IMO Ron was again protecting his property. (Misty) I am betting person, I bet the spat between Ron and Misty was over Haleigh. JMO

Please read the part of the article about the reason that the Croslins went over to Sykes' house. It was in response to a call for help from Misty. Crying and screaming that she wanted them to come and get her. It is totally expected that she would be threatened by Ron when he found out that she had made the call and out of fear would immediately change her story. This is my opinion, read the entire article and form your own. Eventually, people are going to have to stop making excuses for Ron's behavior.

The Croslins are fine upstandind citizens themselves, right? Why is it they all have moved out of state?

I am really confused by this thread at this point, people are allowed to state that RC assaulted Misty, that Misty is afraid of RC, GGS is covering for RC and thats all ok no links required. Yet trespassing is mentioned and a link is required because it does not mention in the police report treaspassing.

GM says she told them to leave.
They got in the car and after a further assault left the property.

Pulling into someone's driveway is not trespassing. Sorry guys, it just isn't.

GM was sleeping she didn't see who hit who first.
The Croslin's have three witnesses.
One of which was sent for medical care.

Ron has Misty.
Ron doesn't interact well with cops.
Ron refused to explain the incident.
He left the officer no leaway and no other option but to arrest him given the circumstances.

But Misty asked them not to come over they came over anyway, Misty asked them to leave they did not - I realize later GGS asked them to leave and they were in the process of doing that when another altercation occurred. But if they were told not to come over and they showed up on the property than that would be trespassing I would think.

I don't understand why they were not arrested immediately.

She surely did tell the officer she was sleeping when she heard the ruckus.

She did.
It is in the police report.
The account that says GM says Croslin hit Ron first is in the newspaper article.
So either the reporter was incorrect (shocking I know), or GM changed her story after the fact.

Because you have to have credible evidence to arrest someone.
When the police are not sure they have it, they send what they have to the SA to review and tell them whether it warrants an arrest or not.
They are doing their jobs.

The only thing done today was bail set, the judge isn't gonna sit down and take testimony from all the various parties concerned at this time. When it goes to trial then we will see under oath what the testimony is and what the JUDGE decides at that time.

I am sure the judge was not so incompetent as to not question the officer, review the report, and study the photographs taken before making a decision on the bail amount. The judge also had the leeway to dismiss charges if there was no substantiating evidence for those charges. That was not done.

No question about it RC screwed up by allowing himself to get into the altercation, he should of called 911 as soon as they showed up on his property something he will regret not doing I am sure.

When someone comes on your property without permission they are trespassing.

It is possible that charges against multiple parties will be coming based on these reports.....anything less is speculation based on our individual opinions of the characters involved...oh just my opinion

Apparantly they took GM's statement that they left her property when asked, took the statement of three Croslin's that said they left, and didn't find Misty's statement to be credible. One could imagine why they might doubt it.

I never said there shouldnt be charges, RC was in a fight bottom line. However what I was questioning was we do not know for sure the events that lead up to the fight based on different versions or what exactly occurred during the fight that info will not come out until it goes to trial and testimony is given by the various players and the Judge then makes a decision.

According to both sources, Misty Cummings' father, mother and brother Hank Croslin Jr. came to the mobile home of Annette Sykes, who is Ronald Cummings' grandmother, about 10:45 p.m. Wednesday.

Sykes said the Croslins were trying to get Misty Cummings into their van to come with them but she refused. Sykes said Croslin hit Cummings and started a fight.

I know it fits everyones agenda to believe Hank over the Cummings but we don't know which is the correct version.

Interesting statement/acknowledgement . . . last I checked though RC is the only one that was arrested - I for one don't believe that LE got the wrong assailant.
