I wondered if Misty's mom and dad are still married and if Misty's father was pleased when Misty and Ronald wed...

2-4 am would actually be in the early morning hours, hence the AM.

I want to know why it took so long for the Croslins to call LE. If the incident happened before 11, he wasn't arrested till 1.

NO...they called right after the incident. There is a portion of the 911 call played on one of the above news links. By the time at least six people gave statements and completed interviews with the officers-- and there was more than one officer as stated in the press conference this morning that is linked in an above post-- the BOOKING time was around 1 am.

Update on the article. Misty and GGM bailed him out and GGM is "upset" with PCSO. That doesn't surprise me at all.

Shortly before 1 p.m., Misty Croslin-Cummings arrived at the jail with his grandmother, Annette Sykes. The two walked out with Ronald Cummings a short time later. All 3 left the jail in a car.

Sykes told First Coast News before driving away she's upset with the Putnam County Sheriff's Office

IMO
I hope they arrest Ron everyday for something, and charge him so he needs to post bond for every offense until he runs out of money and then they hold him. Then set trial dates ,one after the other forever, can they do that?

If this doesn't prove that he can be violent and out of control human, I wonder what it will take to convince those who attest to his good virtues and insist he is a great father and they have no concerns or worries concerning him.

RC, aside from being dysfunctional, had control and responsibility for two tiny children (one an infant and the other barely a toddler). There was no secure home provided for them. They were shuffled from house to house and various young girls providing their care in exchange for sex and living arrangements.

Another poor decision and we now have Haleigh gone, possibly forever. The good provider and excellent father beat up somebody who came over because his wife wanted to leave. If this is an example of his parenting and self-control, I don't think I want to see what he is like behind closed doors any longer. My imagination has gone to the dark scary place.

From the police report, Lisa Croslin:
She said that up until now she never knew him as being violent.

I take into consideration the fact that Lisa has never seen him violent before, esp. after her husband said RC gave him pills, true or false I would have thought Lisa Croslin would have seen it then.

Ceeker:

So now you are basing your belief that RC is not violent on the words of Lisa Croslin...?

In Florida, 🤬🤬🤬 can now "stand his/her ground" even if he/she is outside of his/her home. But to do so, 🤬🤬🤬 must "reasonably believe" that using deadly force is necessary to prevent "imminent" use of deadly force against himself/herself or others.

Previously, all 🤬🤬🤬 had to do to win his/her case was argue that he/she honestly and reasonably believed that he/she could not retreat safely. Now, he/she has to argue, instead -- somewhat similarly -- that he/she reasonably believed that if deadly force wasn't used, the other individual imminently would.
Under either standard, 🤬🤬🤬 still has the burden of proof to justify his/her killing. Also, under either standard, the jury may disbelieve him/her if there are witnesses around to contradict the story.

RC's would be hard-pressed to meet the standards that Florida has set forth . . .

Maybe it was a fight between brother and sister that was going on all day..nah, that would be too simple.

Misty seemed to have every opportunity to say that to the officer. In fact she could have said she felt threatened by her brother father and sister. no mention of that anywhere. She gave no explanation as to why her family would suddenly late at night need to see her. She has a habit of not explaining things very well doesn't she?

It is not to the entire call, a portion of it is played in the news videos linked in a previous post for the press conference this morning. Look back to about page 10 more or less for the links....sorry....I don't have time to go back right now to look or I would find it for you.

I don't know about when they got married but this is a quote from him at the start of the case:

Croslin said his daughter and Cummings have been together for several months, and at first he did not like the arrangement. He did not initially like that Cummings first said he was 19, then 21.

As he has watched the couple, his opinion has changed, he said.

"I'd rather see my daughter with someone like him," he said. "You don't see too many 25-year-old men take care of two kids.

He said his daughter and Cummings were dedicated to Haleigh and Cummings' son.

"I've never seen that girl without a smile," he said of Haleigh. "Both of those kids were happy."

Don't know if this has been posted, but here's more news on it.

The version of events Sykes told Action News is very similar to the one Hank Croslin Jr.’s wife told Action News with one big exception. Lindsey Croslin says Misty called her brother and begged him to come pick her up. She says Misty was crying and was asking for her brother to come and take her away.

Here's what went down.

1. Misty called her brother crying and screaming (sound familiar). Hank thinks she needs help.
2. He knows better than to go alone (RC is legally smart) and he needs witnesses to protect himself form a lawsuit.
3 He gets there Misty tells him she's okay now. Her brother doesn't believe she's ok.
4.He questions RC, RC pushes him to leave. Her brother gets pissed and hits him possibly.
5.RC goes ballistic. Sr. grabs RC so he can't hit his son.
6.His son goes to hit rc and granny steps in the middle and starts pushing people around and wants them in the car.
7.They get in the car, hothead is in pursuit, opens door and starts wailing on Tommy.
8. Granny takes her little grandson away and tells him to go in the house.

........Misty is hanging around waiting for RC to tell her what to do.

Sr and jr call police.

Brother is calling MC all day.
MC calls Mom and Dad to come get her, she wants to leave the house.
HC2 approach the house aggressively.
RC pushes HCJ, HCJ hits RC.
MC gets hit while in the middle of the fight.
RC gets arrested.

Just another squabble with the in-laws.

wouldn't GGS have heard Misty screaming and got up to see what was wrong? I think in her statement she said she was sleeping at first.
