Attorneys for the father of a missing 5-year-old north Florida girl issued a news release on Tuesday, saying the family of their client, Ronald Cummings, does not want "any involvement by George and Cindy Anthony in the continuing search for Haleigh Cummings."

The news release, sent by attorneys Greg Kimball and T. Jerry Snider, said "the Anthonys have their own agenda, as witnessed by their recent media tour," apparently referring to a weekend missing-children's event in Lake Mary, where the Anthonys appeared with Crystal Sheffield, Haleigh's mother.

The release said "the facts relating to the death of Caylee Anthony, which resulted in the first-degree murder charges against Casey Anthony, are in no way similar to Haleigh's disappearance."

To be honest, I have been extemely worried lately, after seeing the A's and their "foundation" plans, and the other night their emotional, FAKE, get together w/ Haleigh's mom...I feel so relieved today seeing that the tides have turned, I knew they would, but was worried about the time it might take. Thank you Karma !

I don't why Ron Cumings did it. I'm just glad he did because it's just one more source that is telling GA and CA that they need to zip it!

I know why he (or his attorney, doesn't matter to me who decided) did it. Because the Anthony's taint every person they come into contact with. I can't think of one single person associated with any member of that family who has benefitted as a result of their association with them...

I see it as a slap in Ron's face that they are there with Haleigh's mom instead of Ron - i'm not saying I don't feel equally bad for both of them, but it looks to me like the A's are being volatile as usual and picking sides...

I do agree that the A's need to stop this publicity tour. They aren't getting KC back. Grieve for your losses already A's....KC is not coming home.

Having said that, if their support for missing Haleigh is genuine, then may I suggest that likely Ron is miffed that they are with his ex (who CLEARLY had nothing to do with Haleigh's disappearance) AND is obviously dealing with her own battle with him.

To some extent I agree. However I wish that Ron's target would have been KFN rather than the Anthonys themselves because it confuses the issues, for me anyway. Regardless of what I personally believe to be true, someone who makes prejudicial statements about circumstances that have yet been proved or disproved conclusively by the facts available, is suspect to me. Very much like the Anthonys themselves.
