Bolin gets life for Holley slaying

Hillsborough Circuit Judge Barbara Fleischer sentenced Bolin to life in prison Tuesday. The sentence was a relief for Holley's half-sister, Anita Holley, who was outraged by the jury's verdict Friday. A day before Bolin was sentenced, she delivered a vitriolic tirade against him, calling him a "poisonous insect" and a "gold mine of human obscenity" worthy of extermination. She also had a few choice words for his wife, Rosalie Bolin, a capital punishment mitigation expert who married the death row inmate.

"She needs a psychiatrist. Her narcissism and the need to feel important has caused a black hole in the character that can only be filled with abnormal human experience," Anita Holley said. "It is clear that she thrives in the spotlight Oscar has generated from these horrible murders."

If you go back to some of the hearings there was talk of a second mitigation person who was not being named and it all seemed hush, hush.

JBP made references to an unnamed confidential mitigation specialist a few times in some of the hearings and I always thought it was some mental health professional.

I think it has been RB this whole time and JB did not want it made public. He knew the press would have a field day if they found out she was helping ICA.

IMO in watching today's jury selection, JB was stunned when JBP made him name her in public. I believe JBP outed her today on purpose and now that the trial is starting he is letting JB know that the public has a right to know where all that taxpayer money has been going.

I just can't imagine bringing in someone with this much baggage and substantiated allegations for misconduct is going to help the defense....this is bizarre.

There are even reports that she was fired from the public defender's office in Tampa for misusing their funds to finance her own campaign to win her husband's freedom. "That is ridiculous. There's nothing true about that," said friend and colleague Terry Lenamon.
