The more I read about this, the more I understand, the more I wish I didn't.

It feels horrible to have to sit here and watch these "people" conspire to PROFIT from Caylee's murder. I understand the whole defense attorney thing, they're a necessary evil. But Casey has a whole team of them, and now they've added this woman... its disgusting.

It was mentioned on the previous page that the DT isn't going to bring in doctors until they are in the penalty phase to avoid having to let the state exam ICA. Did I get that right? That doesn't make sense to me. Personally I'm not for the death penalty, but the idea that the jury is going to make such a huge decision based on unverified info or lies just seems wrong.

Even if the DT and the State agree that ICA does in fact have a brain injury, how could they say that they know for a fact that ICA's brain was like that when she killed Caylee? Because if it wasn't its not a mitigating factor, right?

I think I read somewhere that ICA had seizures. Did she go to the ER, a neurologist or even her PCP. Seizures aren't always caused by a brain abnormality. Did they give her an MRI three years ago? If not, I would think that living in a jail has changed her brain.

And ditto for claims of mental illness. If she didn't have an eval. prior to Caylee's death or when she was arrested how do we know that the state she's in now was present when she killed Caylee? I haven't seen videos of her in court 3 years ago, but I don't remember her figitting and staring so much. I'm pretty sure she's deteriorated since going to jail.

How can the present state of her brain and her present mental heath be used as a mitigating factor when they don't even know for sure if they were like that when she killed her baby daughter? Wouldn't that be unethical, a manipulation of the facts?

And this is what this lady does for a living? That's sick.

Since ICA hasn't been evaluated by the state does that mean she has never been evaluated to see if she needs to be on psyc. meds since she was arrested? When you first think of that it doesn't seem like a big deal, but if an untreated mental illness helps these attorneys/media 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 to manipulate her it becomes a big deal. What if they had started treating her and she confesses? I know its not likely, but what if?

Everything that this woman does for the DT involves flimflam that the state isn't given a chance to confirm or dispute. They need to make a Son of Sam Law for lawyers like this because I think its obvious that what they are doing has nothing to do justice.

Is it possible that part of the reason they are keeping CA out is so she won't see whats going on with the DT?

We need extensive "Son of Sam laws" and the like, and the ABA MUST ADDRESS THIS! It is a disgrace to the legal profession that people are doing this. Someone has to step in. It is so common. A person should NOT have a law license and be profiting the way these people are.

Well look at the LIES Finnel is going to go with for mitigation - is any of the nonsense about sexual abuse, parents using her as a pawn/scapegoat, etc, true? No way. They can make up whatever they want. If a medical professional NOT on the DT payroll verifies she had a seizure, I will believe it. Otherwise, give me a break.

I'm sure the so-called seizure ICA had was a dramatic ploy for attention. It worked, right? We may yet get to see some more during the trial. I have a suspician that ICA is going to grow very close to Rosalie Bolin. It makes me wonder how Cindy will take this to new found union.

I found it interesting that she didn't mention the "sexual abuse" once today...

She has already sold her rights to her "life story" to a Los Angeles production company, Silver Creek Entertainment.

Such a nice woman :loser:

Yes and if you google Silver Creek Entertainment you will find that they have already played a part in the ICA fiasco...

Larry Garrison is the President of Silver Creek Entertainment:

So it's always been about the almighty dollar and not about Caylee. This is so sad - I bet those attorney's could give a rats hoot if she's found guilty or not, and are probably hoping for the DP because it makes for a better story. Trust me, if any of those <unusual people> publish a book, I won't be buying it.

So much for a fair trial.

Noticed RB is not in court today, unless I somehow overlooked her. Does anyone know if today is visitation day at Florida State Prison?
IIRC I saw something the other day that said her next visit was May 15 and that's tomorrow, so...........................

What I don't like is that the seed was already planted with these jurors and the trial hasn't even started.

What I don't like is that the seed was already planted with these jurors and the trial hasn't even started.

But that may backfire. One thing I learned from my lawyer father was NEVER to promise anything upfront, or hint anything even, that you cannot show some evidence of. Even though the defense does not have the burden of proof, they still cannot say totally off the wall things as if they are true. The jury remembers it all, and wonders where it is if you do not come through with it. They feel cheated if you promise something in the opening statement and never follow through.
If they imply sexual abuse and major family dysfunction, the jury will want to see some evidence of that. The most Casey has ever said or written concerning her father was ' I don't know, but MAYBE, he may have done something a long time ago when I was little.' That is far from earth shattering accusations. And male jurors are very wary of false accusations, as they would NEVER want a stepchild or a student or niece to accuse them falsely.

I worked at SQ until a few months ago.. let me tell you how many whacko women arrived for visitation of their 'sweetie pies' on death row that had never met them prior to incarceration. SQ being an appealing notorious hotspot, they came from all over the states and even from other countries. There is a phenomenon out there that is inexplicable.. where certain women of certain psychological makeup flock to these men. Simple in abnormal psychology yet complex to the common mind. Disturbing and very unstable women as to my evaluation form a short distance.

Still catching up here, so maybe this has been mentioned already, but.....

wasn't Lenamon the one who suggested to JB some sort of mental illness ploy for KC and he wrote some multi-page diatribe giving possibilities?

Yup. You are correct.

In a way, it makes sense. These women have a captive audience. Excuse the pun.

Nothing to lose. Very poor self esteem and trust issues. They can't be cheated on, or abandoned. Big time abandonment issues. Simple problems with complex solutions.

Doesn't matter what seeds are planted because there will be so very many to testify and impeach it all. Jesse Grund explained that ICA was such an effective LIAR THAT SHE IS DIABOLICAL! Jurors will not forget such testimony imho.

She said something about gaining too much weight when with her former husband. I'm sure she thought once she shed him and the children, she would prove what a healthy choice she made falling for Oscar.

She wanted to prove she was a :loser:

Article says she is a mitigation specialist - so we called that one, wonder if Ann Finnell brought her in?

Let me be sure I'm clear on this:

mit•i•gate

to make (a person, one's state of mind, disposition, etc.) milder or more gentle; mollify; appease.

http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/mitigate

Someone who dumped her husband, children, and home to marry an individual on Florida's death row for the brutal rapes and murders of three women, has been brought on board to make Casey Anthony look better?
