I haven't read the while thread, but cane across this article:

http://www.sptimes.com/2005/08/08/Columns/Married_to_a_murderer.shtml

I am shocked her husband had 3 mistrials, but was finally convicted! Crazy, but smart! Wonder what she is really doing for JB. Looking for mistakes by the police, judge it prosecutors so Jose can get the mistrial he promised? No wonder ICA seemed to like her!

from the time she was "outed" RB has kept her self out of jury selection.. when do you think she will next enter into the courtroom sitting next to ICA? Has the recent media attention been too much for her FAMILY (the daughters she left)? Her career? and/or the outcome for ICA with the public seeing a woman married to a Serial Killer sitting there? Weigh in...

RB IS OUT because the defense does not want someone who is married to a serial killer associated with their client.

I don't know what <modsnip> hired her to begin with but they came to their senses and got rid of her immediately when they saw the fallout. Sometimes I wonder if there is something in the water that the defense is drinking. Letting KC cut bangs is another blunder and they can say we didn't expect that but THEY SHOULD be talking to her about EVERYTHING.

That's a good question. Could they have gotten rid of her? It's a disgrace she is even in the position she is in, much less the idea of her helping defend a child killer. You'd think the media would be all over this. Nuance is lost on the DT evidently!

I personally don't think she is out.. I think she has been in for some time... she has a business that is linked as a private investigator.. remember all those extra private investigator funds JB kept arguing for in status hearings? I think this MAY be her.

so even if she never shows up I think she did some/a lot of mitigation work here

moo

eta: I voted for we see her during mitigation because 1) I believe some degree of guilt will be determined by this jury and 2) if that happens she will be there (jury not the wiser.. they have been sequestered since the get go so they don't know who the hell she is)

btw: if I were a jury member and I later found out this woman were helping a defendant I would have SERIOUS problems believing any and all mitigation she was involved in.. MOO

I was curious about her role in all this also. I asked about RB in the "legal questions thread" as to why she has been kept out of jury selection. AZlawyer responded and said because she's not a lawyer, she cannot help pick jurors. I thought she was a lawyer. AZlawyer said mitigator specialists have a social work or psychology background.

I chose "we will never see her again". I think the press they got when she showed up at jury selection was just too bad. I'm not sure if she's still working with the DT or not. If she is, I suspect she will stay 'behind the scenes'.

her bio says she is in law school or trying to get into it.. she is not a lawyer as far as I am able to find.. however she is a private investigator.. and Jose could have been paying her all along as a private investigator..

why did he bring her out during jury selection? (expletives and assumations that he is immature and not ready for a trial of this magnitude with held)

I just looked up AZlawyer's response to my question about Rosalie. He said:

"She might be there to assess the potential jurors for their responses to things that will come up in mitigation."

but why is she front and center in front of the media cameras?

she seems to have a firm relationship with ICA.. one not made in a second..

I think she is the "investigator" that got florida state funds.. IMHOO

another note: why isn't the REAL MITIGATION SPECIALIST PRESENT?

HMMM..

While I agree with your post Solace,
Do we know for certain they got rid of her?

Just because she no longer showed up at the courthouse is not a true indicator to me that she no longer works on the DT.
She could be doing her work behind the scene.
Long ago Ann Finnell asked for a mitigation specialist for the Penalty phase, she never disclosed back then who this person was...now we know.

Neither do I.
I believe she is still working on this case and keeping a low profile.

What I find funny is that JB was all "HA - gotcha!" when the one PJ was outed for his DUI, but at the same time figured none of the "idiot bloggers" or other people would figure out who RB was.

I think she'll remain in the background, unseen, IMO.

O/T: JB admitted today he quit school in the ninth grade. Isn't that illegal? How can a kid, age 14 or so, quit school? Or did he fail a grade or two as well?

  • #396
I read several articles that indicated that she is very good at what she does and that she was "credited" with keeping several people from a death sentence. She's probably working behind the scenes, but I don't think we'll see her, she'll handle things "remotely". MOO.

where is that?

I voted never again-- I really think she's outta there!

I'm still baffled over the whole RB thing. I think she's been hired by the DT to help with mitigation. But did they honestly think they could parade her out there and no one would find out or care about her background?

I sincerely hope she's being paid out of pocket by someone other than the state because I will be one pizzed taxpayer to find that MY money is paying for such a despicable character to help defend a child killer. :maddening:

where is that?

He was on InSession today doing a "special pre-trial interview." He said it then. He also said Mason was a "drop out," and that they were the "drop-out defense."
