Royal Baby #2 is on it's way ..

There's a kerfuffle going on in Japan because a zoo was having a public vote to find a name for a newborn baby monkey when the royal birth took place. Overnight, the public voted overwhelmingly to name the monkey Charlotte.

Now there's been complaints that it's disrespectful from other members of the public and officials are thinking of changing it. People are asking how it would go down if the English had named a monkey after one of Japan's royals.

Charlotte's dad recently visited Japan and was immensely popular - people were fascinated by his approachable attitude, compared to the somewhat imperious Imperial family there. There have been no complaints from the English side and I doubt there will be, myself.

I'm hoping Catherine will get a do-over of her trip to Malta next year and she takes Charlotte with her. That visit was cancelled when she was experiencing hyperemesis gravidarum in the early stages of her pregnancy.

And we'll likely see some new family photos over the year, too. With George we got a photo of the royals, plus some more casual family photos like the ones at the Middletons' home and the one in the window at Kensington. And of course all the adorable photos and video of George in Australia and New Zealand.

My daughter's cat is named Charlotte, and she's the cutest thing ever. If you didn't like cats, you'd still say this one is the cutest thing ever. :D

Princess Charlotte's christening date set

HRH Princess Charlotte Elizabeth Diana may only be a month old, but she already has a busy schedule.

The newborn daughter of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will be christened in a private ceremony next month, Kensington Palace announced Friday.

The ceremony will take place on July 5 at St. Mary Magdalene Church, which is on Queen Elizabeth II's Sandringham estate on England's east coast. The new princess will be christened by Justin Welby, the Archbishop of Canterbury. The princess' older brother, Prince George, was christened by the Archbishop at St James's Palace in October 2013. That service was also a private and intimate event, with just 22 people on the guest list.

Prince George makes palace balcony debut

At the end of the parade of military troops, horses, bands and royal carriages, the little future king, who turns 2 next month, joined the entire royal family on the balcony, waving in the arms of his father, as his mother, grandfather Prince Charles and his great-grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, stood nearby, watching the traditional RAF fly-past.

Hurrah for the Trooping of the Colour!

George is rockin' some cool blue shoes there :)

I don't recognize the dark haired little boy in front of Harry in the large family photo on the balcony.
