Per his wife's social media post in the OPs post, his boat is a silver and blue Bass Tracker. That model is not a large boat being just under 17'. At most, it would have a 50 HP motor.

Speaking from owning a Bass Tracker in the 1980s, it's big enough for 2 adults to comfortably fish. Maximum capacity is 3 people with a combined weight of 555 pounds.

A little more info from the article linked by the OP.

Eagle Mountain Lake and the location of the marina.

Amy said her husband's phone last pinged at Augie's Sunset Café and Marina — a location she said Ruben had never mentioned before. She drove to the marina, where someone had found his phone on the dock.
Later that afternoon, law enforcement with the Tarrant Regional Water District — now leading the investigation — located his gray and blue fishing boat on the opposite side of the lake. It was floating between two docks, undamaged and unanchored.

Augie's does have a boat ramp so, the assumption is he put his boat in there since they have a ramp.

More good info. Now, I'm thinking he put the boat in at Twin Points Park and then went to the dock at Augie's for some reason. From this article.

Ruben Fausone was seen on surveillance video entering Twin Points Park with his boat and trailer about 8:10 p.m. Tuesday, according to the release. His cell phone last pinged near Augie’s Sunset Cafe and Marina, and witnesses reported seeing him around 1:30 a.m. Wednesday near the Augie’s dock.

There is a boat ramp and Twin Points Park.

The original article in this thread stated the boat was found at the other end of the lake from Augie's but, I don't think that's the case. The park and Augie's are very close to each other.

So, where were the vehicle and trailer? Still in the parking lot at the park? On the boat ramp? I ask because he could have had a mishap trying to put the boat on the trailer by himself.

ETA - Maybe he parked in the trailer parking at the park before taking the boat out. When he came back, he intended to dock the boat, back the trailer down the ramp and return to pull the boat over to the trailer. The fact that it was floating between two docks makes me think something (slip/fall, medical emergency, etc) could have happened as he was trying to tie off on the dock.

So sorry to hear this @InstantKarma . Prayers to all of his family and friends. I do have a question since I'm not from that area, do you know the distance from where he was found to where he went missing? Was his boat found near where his truck was as if he was heading home? The cell phone on the dock throws me a bit. TIA

My ex could explain it better. It takes a boater to talk about how you drive a boat versus a car and "picking one point at a time and heading straight toward it." Particularly if you might be traveling at any sort of speed. I know the places I heard were: Twin Points Park, where the boat was put in at the ramp, and where the truck and trailer were still parked. Augie's - bar and grill place on the left/west side of a land point from Twin Points (a different type of point, a place where the land juts out) where he was seen on surveillance inside earlier in the evening and where he was seen REPORTEDLY i believe around 1:30am or so taking off from their dock. I believe he had set his phone on the dock at Augie's forgot it and then took off "towards the island" which is Pelican Island north of there. You would do that either if you were picking a point to head towards in order to get past the land point to the right that separated Augie's and Twin Points Park, or if you decided to go back out to the island maybe to fish a little more or something. We obviously don't know. Near Roesser Park (to the left/west of Augie's) is where the boat was later found, out of gas with the throttle pinned as though it ran out at full speed or as though a large wave or something was hit at full speed, and it stuck there. When a driver falls out or is thrown for some reason, and they do not have a kill switch attached to them (like the one you clip on you on a treadmill), the motor just keeps going but then the boat usually starts doing circles because no one is holding the wheel. if you fall out you could be knocked out and go under or the boat could come around and hit you while running out of control in circles..... The body was found near the island (Pelican Island) from what I understand, 4 days later, again, to the north of everything. This is by far not precise or studied, just what i see on a map and what I know of the place and what i gathered from the ex. I didn't know the guy or his wife but it is very upsetting because they were getting to be close friends and this could have been the ex (who i care a lot about) because they had the same level of expertise in boating and fishing and the ex night fishes often too and my family and i have practically grown up on that lake in boats. I am just very sorry it all happened.

I forgot to mention that there is some question about the exact time of occurrence, because thw wife said she woke up before midnight concerned he wasn't home yet and she went to his phone at Augie's and his phone was still there and he was gone but the witnesses said he took off about 1:30am. I can see witnesses at that point in the night being confused and things being imprecise.

Thank ya'll for being kind. I was raised on true crime like im sure many here, I have been watching 20/20, 48 Hours and Dateline since I can remember with my mother and I am in a criminal justice related field (22+ years). I've heard of this place for a long time and peeked in from time to time. It was one of the first things I thought of after i heard and he'd been missing a few days. I know there's all kinds of knowledge and expertise and very helpful stubbornness on here. :)

The distance is about two miles. Screenshot from Google Maps
