Yes @Marantz4250b ….. sadly have to agree. And this is not something new from this individual. SMH.

Sadly there are many other examples, but in particular this other ‘incident’…… deplorable behavior IMO by an individual then running for presidential office. From an online BBC November 26, 2015 article entitled ‘Donald Trump under fire for mocking disabled reporter’:

MOO
But back then, he was alone. Now he has his sidekick, Vance.

Let,s Agree on one thing.
The War needs to end, and end now.
Zelenskyy has played his best cards for Three years now.
He does not have any good cards anymore.
If he can,t deal with the people at the table he should have
never got into it in the first place. And good on Vice president Vance
for speaking up at the time.

Zelenskyy's best cards are likely yet to come. If you read up on the European reaction after that horrific bullying meeting, I think there is a good chance the below will happen now. Now that the US seems to be out of the picture.

"Where does Ukraine go from here?

Europe can help Ukraine build a well-trained army with top-flight weaponry – one that Russia will find an even tougher opponent than it does now

Europe, with its world-class defense industries and resources for training troops, can help build Ukraine’s future army so that Russia must reckon with a far more powerful adversary than the one it has fought since 2022. The purpose of that army wouldn’t be to defeat Russia’s but rather to deter it by raising the cost, in blood and treasure, that it would have to pay to prevail.

Both Ukraine and Europe now have a Trump problem. They should turn it into an opportunity for defense cooperation."

The US will be allies with all the dictators of the world, Russia and North Korea top of the list.

Dictators do not want to stop war. Dictators do not promise to stop regime change attempts. Dictators do not want free speech. Try again.

Zelensky knew before the press conference that Trump is pro-peace and wants an end to the war yet he was needling him about it. Zelensky was also rolling his eyes and making faces like a bratty teenager throughout the entire 45 minute press conference. Shameful behavior if you expect to do business with us after we have given him $174 billion in aid.

Support for Ukraine was already dwindling but his entitled behavior is doing him in. He lost a lot of support after visiting during the last administration and demanding we give him more money on camera.

Zelensky didn't have a choice about whether his country "got into it". Russia invaded Ukraine, period. He had no choice but to help his country defend itself, as presidents are expected to do. That's a fact.

Trump and Vance simply staged an ambush against Zelensky on TV with the world media in attendance. They did it to establish a pretext for abandoning support for Ukraine as a favor to Russia. In one fell swoop, they destroyed the US 80 year participation in NATO.

Unlike JD Vance, I don't support neo-Nazis, not here, not in Germany, not anywhere.

Trump, Vance and Rubio's behavior today is a disgrace to the US good reputation on the global stage.

Trump will let Putin invade Europe. Trump will let Putin topple Zelensky. Trump is banning journalists he doesn't agree with. He's a wannabe dictator.

Letting Putin take over Ukraine and maybe Europe isn't "pro-peace".

Zelensky was making faces and rolling his eyes because he couldn't believe Trump and Vance were spouting so much bullshihh

Journalists are not banned from the White House they are banned from the press pool which is a small group that does small events. They can still do their reporting since there are feeds from the pool

They were banned because Trump threw a tantrum over them calling the Gulf, the Gulf of Mexico. Not a good look for him.

CNN —
A member of Russia’s state-owned news agency gained access to the Oval Office on Friday to cover President Trump’s sit-down with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky – even as the AP and Reuters were barred from the high-level meeting. The White House said the journalist was not authorized to be in the press pool.

A correspondent for TASS, a Russian state media organization, was among a group of hand-picked pool reporters present in the Oval Office for the leaders’ meeting, which is part of the US’ efforts to end Russia’s war in Ukraine. The testy Trump-Zelensky sit-down may yield a signed deal that would exchange US access to Ukraine’s mineral resources for security guarantees.

Though the group of pool reporters in the Oval Office was hand picked, the White House has denied the TASS staffer was permitted entry.

It's not Americas responsibility to "prevent Putin take over Europe" that's Europe's responsibility.

Why isn't Europe doing more? How come they aren't spending more to send weapons to Ukraine and even sending troops? Why is it supposed to be up to the US to carry this burden when many European countries have refused for years to spend even the bare minimum on their NATO obligations? No I agree with Trump the distinct lack of defense spending by Europeans except those on Russias border is appalling. It is not up to the US taxpayer to subsidize Europe and not up to the US to send troops. European countries could have upped their defense game a long time ago but chose not to.

The White House removed a TASS reporter from the Oval Office on Friday once the issue was flagged to them, saying the Russian state outlet was not on the approved media list for U.S. President Donald Trump's meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy, a White House official said.

How does Zelinsky get to the US? Do we fly him in and out? Where does he stay? And why did he agree to meet with Trump and Vance "by himself?" Could he bring a Ukrainian posse? Just do not see how he would not be like a trapped animal between those two and do not see how it would not all be too high volume to be productive. IMO.

With the very greatest of respect - no.

There is no legitimacy in Donald Trump's disrespectful, demeaning and bullying treatment of Zelenskyy today.

If he did that in private that would be bad enough but he chose to do it in the full view of the world media. It was utterly, utterly shameful in every respect. International politics is not conducted in this manner, especially when a sovereign state's existence literally hangs in the balance.

Any USA citizen who thinks that their president's actions today were in any way acceptable should hang their head in shame, quite frankly.

I never, ever would have imagined that I would have ever have witnessed this level of childishness from american diplomats in my lifetime, quite frankly.
those two are not diplomatic. they want rare earth minerals and they want 'im bad. But if they were playing good cop/bad cop, they messed up and both played bad cop.

He has his own jet and had a delegation with him today.

He had pretty much the same group of US politicians that Macron and Starmer had on their visits this week.
