We have our own nuclear weapons and they are strategically placed around the world. Moo
So do the UK, they are everywhere at once traveling at Sea, are you seriously suggesting the US has placed nuclear weapons in Saudia Arabia?

Also, that minor matter of the Cold War that lasted 44 years and has, for all intents and purposes, been revived by Putin.
Yes. I was thinking AH making his best scientists run for the Los Alamos hills kind of slowed European nuclear weapon manufacturing down.

That was for the best, obviously, but also the start of disarming the parts of Europe that were tainted by the nazis.

It’s time to wake up.

The fourth visit of Canadian Prime Minister @JustinTrudeau to Ukraine since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion.

I am grateful to Canada for its leadership in supporting Ukrainians throughout these difficult three years and to Justin for organizing and hosting a productive G7 leaders' meeting. Canada continues to support Ukraine by providing military equipment and strengthening our energy security.

Canada continues to support Ukraine by providing military equipment and strengthening our energy security. Today, new assistant packages were announced: armored vehicles, the first transfers from the 5 billion CAD allocated to Ukraine from proceeds on frozen Russian assets, as well as a grant to support energy security and the restoration of civilian energy infrastructure following Russia’s massive attacks.

We deeply appreciate that you stand side by side with Ukraine in these challenging times.

Thank you, Canada, for your support.

I had a good and productive meeting with Spain’s Prime Minister @sanchezcastejon.

Our discussion focused on joint efforts to achieve real peace, security guarantees, defense needs, and cooperation with Spanish companies in the reconstruction of Ukraine.

I thank the people of Spain and the government for providing a new military aid package—1 billion euros this year—which includes exactly what we need to strengthen the front line: armored vehicles, missiles, and shells. We are also preparing to open the “Unity Center” to support Ukrainians in Spain, and we are working on signing the relevant agreement.

Thank you for this important step in supporting our people.

Thank you for supporting Ukraine
@sanchezcastejon, @jonasgahrstore, @KristenMichalPM, @JustinTrudeau, @alexstubb, @edgarsrinkevics, @Statsmin, @KristrunFrosta, @SwedishPM, @benjaminhaddad

How much of the US would you give away? How many millions of your citizens would you think it's acceptable to live under Russian occupation? How many of the tens of thousands of kidnapped children would you want returned?

Compromise? Really?

As for Zelenskyy, he went to the US to do a deal and they tried to extort him, on tv. Absolutely shameful.
The US is strong and the Ukraine is not. Not comparable at all. <modsnip> I do want the war to stop so that the killing and destruction will end.

President Trump is trying to stop World War III. Zelenskyy is pushing the world toward it. JMO.

I think this is spot on simply southern. Also, just because we haven't had boots on the ground in Ukraine doesn't mean we haven't sent servicemembers overseas who otherwise would be home with their families. My son was part of one of the first groups to be sent over to Germany to stage up and wait in case they were needed. He spent 6 months away from his family right after Russia invaded Ukraine. Many others did as well. He is currently overseas again as part of another effort to keep border areas beefed up in case there is a need. This time is 9 months away from his family. During this deployment, he's spent time in 5 different European countries. I think there are more "boots on the ground" in Europe (and more than just in Germany at the US military bases there) than the average American knows about. Our military sacrifices a lot. I'm not sure what security guarantees Ukraine wants from the US. We do not need US boots on the ground in Ukraine. I've been a military spouse for nearly 30 years and now a military mom for going on 5 years now. Our military is spread thin.
I totally agree and I think many other Americans do as well. I have family and friends children and grandchildren stationed in Europe. I also have friends and family who return from the war in Afghanistan. The injuries, the loss of limb, the PTDS impacts the entire family. A young person's life is changed forever. I have a dear friend, her fiance was killed on his birthday in Afghanistan, I don't want to go through that again. I have a cousin's son, a Navy SEAL killed in Afghanistan. It's so very painful, the day-to-day worrying, constant prayers, and the loss of life.

Please thank your son for his service to our country. I will be forever grateful. Because of our fine soldiers, we do have freedom in America. I don't think that for granted.
Moo...

Reconnaissance UAVs, FPV drones on fiber optics, ground robotic platforms, interceptor drones, electronic warfare and signals intelligence systems, communication systems, river drones, and drone missiles – all of these are actively operating on the battlefield, working and defending.

All of them are products of Ukraine’s defense industry, which has been revived and significantly developed over the past three years of Russia’s full-scale invasion.

These important items, which help our warriors, were shown to our partners at the Support Ukraine Summit. Thank you for investing in our defense production, in what helps Ukraine become stronger. This year, we will produce even more drones of all types.

Support Ukraine Summit. Over 40 leaders of states, institutions, and international organizations, both in person and online, have reaffirmed their support for Ukraine and Ukrainians.

New aid packages have been announced: weapons, air defense systems, financial and humanitarian assistance, investments in defense production, and sanctions against the aggressor.

Our unity with all who value freedom and life remains unshakable. Support for Ukraine does not stop, and together we are bringing closer the day when true peace for Ukraine will be restored. We thank everyone who stands with Ukraine and our people.

I spoke with Belgium’s Prime Minister @Bart_DeWever and congratulated him on his recent appointment.

It’s important for us that Belgium’s support for Ukraine remains steadfast during these challenging times. I am grateful for the readiness to continue helping.

The global situation requires coordinated actions and a swift response. We deeply appreciate that Belgium shares Ukraine’s position: it’s essential to ensure a unified European response to the challenges posed by Russia. We also discussed the use of frozen Russian assets and coordinated our further contacts.

Thank you for your support.

I met with parliamentarians from the global parliamentary network of support for Ukraine. This is important. We have built diplomatic contacts at all levels—from leaders and parliaments to the media and many public organizations.

All of this is to withstand this war and to end it with dignity—exactly as our people, the Ukrainian nation, deserve. A nation that fights so bravely earns respect. And that respect turns into concrete steps of support from our partners.

As always, a constructive conversation with President of France @EmmanuelMacron.

Emmanuel informed me about the outcomes of his visit to the United States and his meeting with President Trump.

I shared the details of yesterday’s meeting with the leaders of the Nordic-Baltic countries in Kyiv. Achieving a just peace requires the voice of every country in our part of the world. We are working on a common position and reliable security guarantees.

We also coordinated our plans and upcoming contacts in various formats. The peace we strive for must ensure that future generations in Ukraine and all of Europe are protected from Russian aggression.

Thank you, Emmanuel, for all your help and support. Ukraine sees how much France is doing for our shared future.

Our team has already begun working on the commitments made by our partners yesterday at the Support Ukraine Summit in Kyiv.

I want to thank everyone who remained principled on such an important day—the third anniversary of the full-scale invasion. We truly value that our partners are not only willing to continue supporting our country and people, but are also committed to increasing that support.

This will help us achieve peace more quickly—an honest peace that guarantees aggression will never happen again.

At best president Trump is emphatically stating - through these actions - that the Ukraine will never join NATO.

Give Peace A Chance
The War needs to stop
The people need to go back to their homes
The kids need to go back to school
The mail needs to be delivered.
We all want peace. It is up to Putin, who has invaded Ukraine, to end this war. Unfortunately, I'm afraid that won't happen.

If anyone is trying for ww3, that’s Putin!

Z is defending his country. The aggressor is Russia. Russia keeps attacking and trying to grab land, and Ukraine is defending itself.

Trump could try having a word with his pal Putin?

The US won't be part of NATO soon so don't worry about that.

Today is a day of bravery and integrity of all those who did not turn a blind eye to Russia's occupation of our Crimea. On these days, 11 years ago, Russian aggression against Ukraine began with the illegal, treacherous seizure of Crimea.

But February 26 proved that there would be resistance – resistance from Crimea, resistance from all of Ukraine. This day showed that there were and would be people who would reject lies and refuse to surrender their home. The years following Crimea’s occupation brought much sorrow and cynicism. Many in the world were unwilling to fully understand what was really happening. Yet, we managed to bring the issue of Crimea’s liberation back onto the global agenda. We established the Crimea Platform. We do not let Russia "normalize" its occupation. We liberate Crimean prisoners from captivity. We continue our struggle for the right to a normal life, for security guarantees, and for lasting peace for all of Ukraine.

Ukraine’s territorial integrity, sovereignty, and security are not – and will never be – up for compromise. The day of resistance in our Crimea is a day of respect for truth and for Ukraine. I am grateful to everyone who stands with us.

I spoke with Portugal’s Prime Minister @LMontenegropm and thanked him for all the military assistance provided and for readiness to continue support this year. We deeply appreciate that, in such challenging times, Portugal stands with Ukraine.

A just peace with reliable security guarantees for Ukraine and all of Europe is our shared priority. We discussed our position on ending the war, as well as unity and coordination with all our European partners.

We also agreed on our plans and further engagements. We are working together for a shared future.

Thank you for your support.

Today, there has been a lot of international work. Our teams are working with the United States as we prepare for negotiations this Friday. The agreement with the U.S. The support of our country and people.

Peace and security guarantees are the key to ensuring that Russia can no longer destroy the lives of other nations. I will meet with @POTUS.

For me and for all of us in the world, it’s important that U.S. support is not stopped. Strength is needed on the path to peace.

I am grateful to all the partners who continue to support us, and to all our people who believe in Ukraine.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy will meet the King on Sunday as part of his visit to the UK.

He is due to speak to King Charles on the same day as Keir Starmer’s defence summit of European leaders in London.

It will take place at Sandringham, The Sun newspaper reported.

At Downing Street on Saturday, Zelenskyy said: “I’m very happy that His Majesty the King accepted my meeting tomorrow.”

Action speaks louder than words. A press conference is the best of both worlds.

During that presser I almost thought Vance was channeling Putin word for word, lol.

If he feels threatened by NATO and their nuclear weapons that could ignite World War III. JMO.

So do you agree that Europe can provide everything Zelenskyy is asking for and US help is not needed?

As stated, they've asked the US, in the event of a Russian invasion, the US provide air cover and intelligence. We probably have the best intel system of all the EU members. Just a guess, but I assume all EU allies will contribute to air cover, with different countries alternating. It sounds like European allies will handle the heavy work of helping Ukraine defend itself on the ground, though I don't know the details. Just guessing.

EU countries have already been providing similar assistance so far, though, as NATO members, participation is limited to providing arms, equipment, etc. to Ukraine.

The US is a pivotal part of NATO.
I still don't get your point. Are you saying that only the US can provide Zelenskyy with the security he's demanding?

Or something else.

A nation that fights so bravely earns respect for its state. And that respect turns into steps of support from partners.

I am proud of all our people who, every day on the battlefield, through their actions and courage, do everything to ensure that Ukraine receives the necessary protection and that our partners continue supporting our fight.

I am grateful to every country and leader who stands with Ukraine and works alongside us to strengthen our defenders. I thank our warriors and everyone thanks to whom Ukraine stands and will endure.

I met with Taoiseach @MichealMartinTD of Ireland. Ukraine deeply appreciates the support and assistance of the Irish people and government, as well as everything they have provided to help strengthen our defense against Russian terror.

We discussed steps toward ending the war with a guaranteed peace for Ukraine and all of Europe, the importance of unity between Ukraine, Europe, the United States, and all those committed to global stability on this path. We also talked about security guarantees and cooperation on Ukraine’s path to the EU. We are grateful to Ireland for standing with us in all of these areas.

We also addressed Ireland’s participation in the Demining Coalition and EU training missions, as well as non-lethal security assistance that will help save lives. Additionally, we discussed our humanitarian initiative, Food from Ukraine, and how Ireland can contribute.

I spoke with the President of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association and Samaritan’s Purse @Franklin_Graham.

I am grateful for the prayers for peace in Ukraine and the support for Ukrainian children and all our people. In this time, as Russia continues to commit crime after crime, this support is more important than ever.

Russia has abducted thousands of Ukrainian children from the occupied territories, and we must do everything to bring them home—to their families, to Ukraine.

In our country, we are doing everything to protect religious freedom, preserve normal life, restore what has been destroyed by the Russians, and prevent them from turning our cities and villages, schools, and churches to ashes.

Thank you for the prayers and support.

An important visit to the United States. In Washington, I met with a bipartisan delegation from the U.S. Senate.

Our discussions focused on the continued military assistance for Ukraine, relevant legislative initiatives, my meeting with President Trump, efforts to achieve a just and lasting peace, our vision for ending the war, and the importance of robust security guarantees.

We take pride in having strategic partners and friends like the United States. We are grateful for the unwavering bicameral and bipartisan support for Ukraine throughout all three years of Russia’s full-scale aggression.

Oh, but I shall worry about it until we have way more military power than at present.
