On the contrary, the President is trying to end a war that has been going on for four years and he was elected by a mandate of the people to stop funding the war between Ukraine and Russia. He is also not "threatening" Canada, Mexico and China, he is imposing tariffs on these trade partners that will level the playing field and address their part in the influx of deadly drugs that are killing Americans at high numbers. The American people voted for a President and administration that would prevent WWIII and that's exactly what they are doing by trying to negotiate an end to the war between Ukraine and Russia. I don't think anyone here feels the need to defend him, he is merely carrying out the mandate he was given by the electorate. With regard to your accusations of corruption in the current administration, I have no idea what you are talking about. The only corruption I see is the past administration where Biden had to pardon his whole family pretty much for the corruption that has been going on for years going back to when he was a senator in the U.S. Congress.
Mandate?
Absolutely NOT

Interesting you would say this. The leftist democrat party in the U.S. has been anti-war for decades, easily back to the Vietnam era. Their hatred of TRUMP has shifted their priorities, skewed their vision, and caused them to become warmongers.

I stand by my assertions on this website. The war in Ukraine will continue unabated, the slaughter will continue, unless a deal is reached. TRUMP is right on this one.

If Putin is not at the table, a deal will not come to pass, and the killing will continue. So be it. I am fairly confident the U.S., under our President, will neither fund it, nor send our youth to fight it. Send yours.

Nah

Leftists and democrats are not the same thing, i suggest doing some research on this. There is a fundamental difference between liberals and leftists.

Putin is the cause of most of this, Ukraine is a sovereign country and can decide whether or not they wish to join NATO. They shouldn’t have to be put through war because Putin and Russia are bullies

Poland to train all adult men for warfare - PM

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk has said work is under way to make all adult men in the country undergo military training.

“We will try to have a model ready by the end of this year so that every adult male in Poland is trained in the event of war, so that this reserve is comparable and adequate to the potential threats,” Tusk says in a speech to the lower house of the Polish parliament.

He also says he supports Poland withdrawing from the Ottawa Convention that bans the use of anti-personnel landmines, and also possibly from the Dublin Convention that bans the use of cluster munitions. He says he will ask the defence minister for his opinion on the matters.

Tusk adds that he thinks Poland should spend 5% of its GDP on defence. This year, the government plans to spend 4.7% of GDP on defence - the highest in Nato.

Earlier, President Duda proposed amending the constitution to make defence spending at a level of 4% of GDP compulsory.

Poland's Duda wants to lock in defence spending to be at least 4% of GDP

Adam Easton
Warsaw Correspondent

Polish president Andrzej Duda has said he wants to change the constitution to make defence spending of at least 4% of GDP mandatory.

Duda said he had submitted a draft amendment to the constitution to the parliamentary speaker to enforce the change.

Following Russia’s invasion of neighbouring Ukraine, Poland already spends more than 4% of its GDP on defence.

Last year, it spent the equivalent of 4.1% of its GDP on defence and plans to raise that to 4.7% this year.

"Leftist Democrat" doesn’t really make sense—Democrats and leftists aren’t the same thing, and in many cases, they don’t even agree. The Democratic Party includes a wide range of political views, from centrists to progressives, but it is largely a capitalist, establishment party that operates within mainstream American politics.

Leftists, on the other hand, tend to push for systemic change beyond what the Democratic Party typically supports—things like socialism, abolishing capitalism, or dismantling U.S. imperialism. In fact, many leftists criticize Democrats just as much as Republicans, especially on issues like foreign policy, corporate influence, and military intervention.

Lumping them together ignores these major differences and misrepresents both groups.

Also, it’s not about “hating Trump” it’s about caring for other people beyond just ourselves. The people of Ukraine did not ask for any of this, the women and children murdered by Russian forces did not ask for any of this, the Ukrainians who have been displaced and won’t be able to return to their homes did not ask for any of this.

Poland needs to have an army of half a million, Tusk says

Adam Easton
Warsaw Correspondent

We can now bring you some more comments from Donald Tusk, who has just been addressing the lower house of the Polish parliament.

The prime minister says the Ukrainian army has 800,000 soldiers, whilst Russia has around 1.3 million and he wants to increase the size of the Polish army, including reservists, to 500,000 - that's up from around 200,000 now.

“It seems if we organise things wisely, and I’m talking constantly with the minister of defence, we will have to use several courses of action. That means the reservists, but also intensive training to make those who do not go into the army fully-fledged and competent soldiers during a conflict,” he adds.

Tusk does not rule out women undergoing mandatory military training, but says “war, is still to a greater extent the domain of men”.

I commend this president. He's going to do everything he can to protect his citizens. Poland gets it !!! I never gave Poland any thought until the Ukraine war, but have gained much respect and great appreciation for our ally.

Here's to Poland !!!!

Having an emotional unstable leader puts any country at risk.
Funny how projection works in situations like this. Criticizing the emotional stability of a leader while overlooking similar concerns about one's own side is a classic move. It's easy to point fingers, but when a leader has been known for erratic behavior, it can seem a bit inconsistent. The emotional stability of any leader is crucial, but let's not forget recent leadership in the U.S.

A little more consistency in the argument would go a long way. IMO

I agree. We experienced the same thing with our previous administration. It was very hard watching his decline in health. Now we have a strong leader, yeah he's got a fierce bark and bites deep. A manly man, won't see him crying over words from another, but one that stands his ground for his people. He's going to protect our nation. Moo ...

What did Russia do when ceasefires were negotiated in the past? They bombed, they broke the agreements. Kind of hard to broker a deal when one side never keeps their word.

Trump calling Zelensky a dictator and the war was his fault was many steps too far. The real life, every day attacks on Ukraine's cities, targeting daycares, schools, churches and even a nuclear plant, all resulting in lives lost and then the abduction of thousands of children. These are not a part of the "business" world skill set. Those are war crimes. To try and approach lasting peace as a business deal is just folly, IMO.

Resolutions are important as is knowing the mindset of people who object to them. All words have meaning, they carry weight because they identify a speaker's heart and mind on many things. A person needs to be careful what they say, for it can define them forever. Senators can and should be held accountable not just for their votes but for their objections to voting.

Contrary to Trumps statements, Ukraine was not the aggressor, it was their land that was invaded, savaged and stolen. Trump thinks the "art of the deal" is going to fix things overnight, lickety-split? That's very unrealistic, especially considering that Putin is a very corrupt individual and can never be trusted. Trump has proven there's no being cordial in his administration. Seems to me it all went south when the US and Russia held talks in Saudi Arabia without Ukraine being part of the process. Must not have gotten the memo.

We're poles apart on how to go about establishing a lasting peace in Ukraine...especially when dealing with the war criminal and murdering dictator, Putin. AJMO

The US Administration narrative has changed. Many Americans are actually becoming manipulated to thinking EVERYTHING in the world is a dollar sign. It is very painful watching this Narrative cloud so many people in America. moo, but so so sad.

All words have meaning, they carry weight because they identify a speaker's heart and mind on many thing.

This is his ONLY interest at this very moment....setting up the Narrative. The medium term interest is really trying to make Putin a "good" partner. moo, naturally.
Trump thinks the "art of the deal" is going to fix things overnight, lickety-split?

But the long term is definitely all about the money/power. Trump wants what Putin has. Trump had those 4 years to start to build up his "army of oligarchs" .... I truly think the below statements about Putin are what are in store for US. moo, of course,

bend to my authority, stay out of my way, and you can keep your mansions, superyachts, private jets, and multibillion-dollar corporations (corporations that, just a few years before, had been owned by the Russian government). In the coming years, the oligarchs who reneged on this deal and undermined Putin would be thrown into a Siberian prison or be forced into exile or die in suspicious circumstances.

Last night, the Russian army carried out another massive attack on our energy infrastructure. Various facilities were targeted in several regions – Odesa, Poltava, Chernihiv, and Ternopil. In total, the Russians used nearly 70 missiles, both cruise and ballistic, as well as almost 200 attack drones. All of this was directed against infrastructure that ensures normal life. Currently, repair and restoration work is ongoing wherever needed. Unfortunately, ordinary residential buildings have also been damaged. In Kharkiv, a Russian missile hit close to an apartment building. People were injured. They are receiving the necessary assistance.

Today, F-16 fighter jets and Mirage aircraft provided by France were used to protect Ukrainian skies. In particular, the Mirages successfully intercepted Russian cruise missiles. Thank you! I also want to recognize the performance of our anti-aircraft missile forces, army aviation, all our electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups.

The first steps toward real peace must include forcing the sole source of this war, Russia, to stop such attacks against life. And this is something that can be effectively monitored. Silence in the skies – banning the use of missiles, long-range drones, and aerial bombs. And silence at sea – a real guarantee of normal navigation. Ukraine is ready to pursue the path to peace, and it is Ukraine that strives for peace from the very first second of this war. The task is to force Russia to stop the war.

Ukraine lives, fights, and despite everything, continues to develop thanks to the strength and courage of our people, and the support of our partners. Thank you, Ukrainians, each and every one of you, for defending and preserving your country!

He needs a 2/3 vote.

I had a big post in here earlier today outlining a bunch of that.
Yes, this is such an important fact to hold to our hearts. But it will be tested in some ways... perhaps, yet another distraction, to mess people up. moo

Does this man ever stay in his home country? Ukraine is at war, fundings been cut off but he manages to have money to fly his private jet on his world tour. Why is he not in Ukraine supporting his troops, reassuring his citizens? South Africa has absolutely no engagement in the peace talks. Hopely his wings will be clipped soon. Moo...

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky will visit South Africa next month, the African country’s presidency announced Friday.

“President Zelensky will be visiting South Africa on the 10th of April,” presidency spokesman Vincent Magwenya told AFP.

The visit “is a continuation of ongoing engagements” on “an inclusive peace process” between Russia and Ukraine, he said.

A top Russian lawmaker, Andrei Kartapolov, in recent days called for the US to stop providing Ukraine with intelligence, underscoring the boon Trump may have already offered Moscow on the battlefield.

“It would be much more important if the Americans stopped giving them with intelligence information, then this would allow us to achieve results more quickly,” Kartapolov said.

One US military official said that the US is now offering fewer surveillance flights to the Ukrainians, as well as less satellite coverage – both of which are essential to Ukraine’s ability to defend its cities against Russian missile attacks.

For some US officials, the decision to limit intelligence sharing with Ukraine not only helps Russia — it is tantamount to a betrayal of Ukraine. The CIA has worked closely with Ukrainian special operations forces since 2014, when Russia first took action to seize control of Ukraine, supporting a separatist conflict in eastern Ukraine and annexing Crimea.

In the early days of the 2022 conflict, prominent Republicans — including now-Secretary of State Marco Rubio — complained that the Biden administration wasn’t sharing intelligence with the Ukrainian military quickly enough.

Read it and weep.

Norway to increase aid for Ukraine to $7.8 billion in 2025.

Norway's parliamentary leaders agreed on March 6 to increase aid for Ukraine by 50 billion Norwegian krone ($4.6 billion) to a total of 85 billion Norwegian krone ($7.8 billion) in 2025.

Defense Secretary Hegseth hails UK for 'stepping up' as European leader on Ukraine amid shifting US foreign policy.During a meeting with his counterpart on March 6, U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth hailed the United Kingdom for "stepping up" in taking a lead among European allies to support Ukraine.

Hegseth's comments come amid shifting political dynamics within the U.S as the Trump administration has ruled out sending its own troops to Ukraine as a security guarantee — instead encouraging European allies to take the lead in securing Ukraine's post-war stability.

And people find fault he is travelling? Amazing to me.

Can we really see any American administration people putting their lives in the battlezone and working 24/7 to save their country?

moo, forever.

French-made Mirage 2000 jets join Ukraine's defense against Russian strike for the first time.

Ukraine's air defenses intercepted 34 Russian missiles and 100 drones overnight on March 7, the Air Force said. Fighter jets, including F-16s and French Mirage 2000s, were deployed to intercept the strike.

Twenty-six EU member states denounced Russian aggression and pledged continued support for Ukraine in a joint resolution issued at an emergency summit on March 6, despite Hungary dissenting.

EU members pledge $16 billion in support for Ukraine, Costa says."Today, we have also tasked the Council to work urgently on further initiatives to address Ukraine’s pressing military and defense needs," European Council President Antonio Costa said.
