Unless another country can get intelligence and satellite to Ukraine asap, they are lambs waiting to be slaughtered IMO 😄

President Trump won the electoral vote, the popular vote, and all of the seven battleground states. You can't do much better than that.
Still does not make him a decent person tbh . Incidentally it has been said our PM won by a landslide yet only around 33 % voted so numbers do not always mean much.

The talks in Saudi Arabia next week will be too late possibly. Presumably the intention. JMO

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky will visit South Africa next month, the African country’s presidency announced Friday.

ā€œPresident Zelensky will be visiting South Africa on the 10th of April,ā€ presidency spokesman Vincent Magwenya told AFP.

The visit ā€œis a continuation of ongoing engagementsā€ on ā€œan inclusive peace processā€ between Russia and Ukraine, he s

Trump and the US are on cordial terms with Putin. Ukraine is vulnerable because Zelensky refuses to work towards a peace agreement, for a war that's going nowhere. Does anybody really believe Ukraine can win against Russia?

I do believe, France it's walking a fine line. Is France willing the fire of a couple of nuclear weapons against Russia, to give Ukraine the advantage they so dearly need?

Keep pushing Putin and he will show force. Moo, that's what got Ukraine in the war they're in now. Zelensky trying to obtain NATO membership was clearly a threat to Russia. Zelensky wants NATO to put nuclear weapons in Ukraine to use against Russia. NATO has been saying no to his membership for years, he created this war to try to force NATO intervention and guarantee him a membership.

Moo
Again, Ukraine is its own country and is allowed to make the call on whether they join NATO or not. Putin and Russia should grow up and stop attacking because they ā€œfeel threatenedā€

Not only does the current administration plan to save SSI, but is advocating for removing taxes on SSI, which will be an incredible help to our senior citizens and others dependent on SSI. The President has been very clear that any cuts or changes to SSI will not happen under his administration. And yet the false narratives on U.S. msm continue to state this, I guess trying to scare the American people.

I've heard talk of possibly removing taxes on Social Security benefits but I haven't heard anything about removing taxes for SSI. Can you point me in the right direction for that information?

Edit: btw, this is a trick question. IYKYK

Ok ok, I can't take it. Point is, SSI is not taxed already. Max yearly pay for SSI is below the 25,000 threshold for taxation. Although, I do fully expect Trump to take credit for not taxing SSI.

edit: "Social Security benefits include monthly retirement, survivor and disability benefits. They don't include supplemental security income (SSI) payments, which aren't taxable."

Do you know the location where the US warship was sent in the Pacific?

Do you know of any reason why China would be messing around Australia? They're pretty neutral company and don't bother anyone.

It is the USS Shiloh. It called in at French Polynesia but I don't know where it is headed, or if will just circle in the Pacific to keep its presence known.

Australia has a very strategic spot in the world (defence-wise), but we are also very isolated. China is often breathing down our necks, and the distraction of Ukraine along with the US tariff provocation could be making China do this.

It has never actually circled Australia before. Keep in mind that Australia is as large as continental USA ... it took them over a week to circle our country, and at times they were as close as 67km from our shores.

imo

That's dang scary. Trumps issues are effecting everywhere. I really wish the USA wasn't in everybody's business. Jmvho

Watch: Russian strike on Odesa sets homes on fire

Trump's latest message on his Truth Social platform talks about "the absolute 'pounding' Ukraine" is getting, and follows Russia's overnight attacks which hit residential areas and key energy infrastructure.

In the southern port city of Odesa, the regional administration says several fires broke out, bringing firefighters to the scene. Here's a clip from footage shared by the state emergency service: [video at link]

It's like being in Wonderland where up is down and wrong is right. I cannot fathom how Trump in that short clip says that Putin, hammering the hell out of Ukraine is because he wants an end to it. It's like living in an alternate universe. The man is unfit to be president.

I totally agree with TRUMP here. Putin is pounding Ukraine, it's exactly the way WAR works. Z messed up bad days ago in Washington. Real bad.

"Trump says he thinks that Putin is doing what "anyone else would do" and that he wants to get this war settled and ended.

ā€œHe is doing what anyone else would do, he wants to get it stopped. He's hitting harder than he's been hitting. Anyone in that position would be doing that now.ā€

The president says the conflict is now "hitting him harder than it has been".

He adds that Ukraine is taking tremendous punishment, but seemed uncertain on whether he believes Ukraine wants to settle, responding: "I think they do"

I don't understand. It is current news on any news sites, lots. Video's, and all.

Ukraine was illegally invaded. Considering this is a victim friendly form that is incredible. People are being killed or badly injured by an illegal invader and it one of the victims fault because foreign leaders like the sound of their own voice. Weird

Incidentally if the mad despot wants to get it stopped he could turn his troops out right now and stop this!

I can assure you that alternate means are being worked. IMO. (Eutelsat [French - their stocks are currently SOARING, unlike US stocks], IRIS2, Project Juiper etc).

France and the UK have also reinforced that they will continue to support Ukraine with intelligence.

That's exactly why Trump went to civilian companies to order them to stop else ....

We know. He always was for a thousand reasons and even legally, but got around that.

Yes indeed, Trump's poker face has been fully revealed with that statement by him.

How very warmongering of him. "Let's go Russia, let's go!!" (because the actual victim won't just bend over and take it).

It also says Trump is considering sanctions and tariffs on Russia for their attacks before a peace process has been resolved. Do you think he gets it now? Putin doesn't want peace, he wants to win and Trump is enabling him by making Ukraine weaker. Maybe Trump genuinely thinks he can negotiate peace, but I think he's out of his depth in this situation and his tinkering has made things worse. JMO MOO
The important word in that sentence is 'considering' not 'implementing'. It's all theatre. And no will know except his acolytes since they've turned off cyber operations between Russia and US. It's sleight of hand trying to finesse the public into believing he's working to end the war. Trump cannot be trusted.

European authorities are working with Eutelsat, a French satellite operator, to deploy more satellites in Ukraine.

A French satellite operator is working with European authorities to increase their satellite service in Ukraine, a spokesperson confirmed to Euronews Next.

ā€œWe are actively collaborating with European institutions and business partners to enable the swift deployment of additional user terminals for critical missions,ā€ a spokesperson for Eutelsat told Euronews Next. "

War is he ll. Calling for the U.S. to put boots on the ground in Ukraine is in my opinion utter insanity. Z messed up bad in Washington. I've said repeatedly Putin has fought a limited war. I truly believe that. It's a stalemated meat grinder. Send your own boys in to the gauntlet.

France shares intelligence with Ukraine amid ā€˜morally detestable’ US aid cutoff, says French minister

"Asked whether Europeans could replace the intelligence provided by the U.S., Lecornu replied on French radio station France Inter that Paris was already sharing intelligence with Ukraine.
"I think that for our British friends, who are in an intelligence community with the U.S., it's more complicated." he said, referring to the Five Eyes group that also gathers Canada, Australia and New Zealand.

"Our intelligence is sovereign. Yes, we have intelligence resources that we share with the Ukrainians," he added."

The big thing that France has going for it is its nuclear capabilities. In the eyes of the super-powers.

They are being amazing, and they are probably also acting as a conduit for other nations who want to get satellite and intelligence help to Ukraine (though we'll never know for sure).

What of Switzerland's stance, what of Austria, Malta, Eire? I believe at least two gave to a non lethal fund, has their stance altered?
Austria is bound by law since 1955 to be neutral. Switzerland is following their normal positioning. Eire has stepped up. Don't know about Malta.
