Zelenskyy has a very active presidential website. He is consistently keeping his public informed.

Eg: this is a little bit from 7th March ...

I wish you health, fellow Ukrainians!

I held a Staff meeting. There was a detailed analysis of today's Russian strike and the operation of our air defenses. We usually do such analyses of combat activities after massive attacks – identifying weak points as well as lessons learned that deserve to be shared. Today, all the necessary reports on this were presented. Special emphasis was placed on the effectiveness of our air defenses. In total, the Russians used more than 260 aerial attack assets in this strike: cruise and ballistic missiles, attack drones. Our troops succeeded in responding to the attack with the highest level of professionalism.

I want to thank every unit, all the services involved, all our warriors. As always, the attack was repelled in a comprehensive manner. Among other things, we deployed fighter aircraft – F16s and French Mirage jets, which performed exceptionally well today. Emmanuel, thank you! I want to commend all our fighter pilots, our helicopter crews of the Ukrainian Defense Forces, our electronic warfare units and mobile fire groups of our army, and especially the units of the 160th Anti-Aircraft Missile Odesa Brigade, the 208th Anti-Aircraft Missile Kherson Brigade and the 540th Anti-Aircraft Missile Lviv Brigade. Well-done, warriors!

He then goes on to talk about supplies, security, support, and their partners who want peace as much as they do. And ends with .... "We thank everyone who is helping us! Glory to Ukraine!"

Losing satellite imagery means we're fighting blind - Ukraine army major

Let's bring you more from BBC 5 Live Breakfast's interview with Maj Volodymyr Omelyan, who says Ukraine will keep fighting "because there is no other option for us".

"Russians are extremely inspired by recent statements of Trump that he's leaving Europe, he's going to remove sanctions against Russia, cutting Ukrainian intelligence and also supplies," Omelyan says.

Reacting to news from the US overnight that Washington has revoked access to satellite imagery, Omelyan says it is now "like fighting blind."

"We don't see what Russia is preparing to do on its territory anymore," he adds. "It's very difficult to see the main direction of their future attacks and supplies.

"You hear the noise and feel the enemy but you cannot see it."

Civilians are being killed every day, Ukraine army major tells BBC

Maj Volodymyr Omelyan from the Brigade of Armed Forces of Ukraine has described the attack in Dobropillya as "typical".

"In this particular case there was a missile strike. There are daily invasion bomb strikes in the Donetsk region," Omelyan tells BBC Radio 5 Live Breakfast.

"Civilians are getting hurt and getting killed every day."

Zelensky rolled his eyes and made faces throughout the entire 50 minutes then proceeded to start arguments with President Trump about diplomacy. Why come in the first place if he did not want diplomacy? Totally wasted visit and an embarrassment in front of the whole world. If Ukraine continues to have a relationship with the US I doubt he will play a role in it.
As we have said over and over...most leaders worldwide sided with Zelensky. The front of most papers in Europe at least sided with Zelensky and trashed Trump. Only Republicans seemed to think Zelensky was at fault. The rest of the world ( except Russia and a few others saw it very differently. Just twenty four hours earlier our own Prime Minister had been attacked in the same room. There is a pattern going on here. Vance went to Germany and insulted Europe. I think there is going to be a lot of trouble with him.

I watched the video. It's reality. Zelensky is seen clearly rolling his eyes and making faces throughout.

Donald Trump threw Zelensky out of White House for rolling eyes and shrugging

Only Republicans think this. The rest of the world were horrified at what we saw. Not sure we were surprised though tbh/

Reports out of the WH cite Zelenskyy’s 'demeanor' as part of the reason Trump and US officials felt disrespected —
— “shrugging and rolling his eyes" during the conversation.
It was non stop.

And not their awful behaviour? But ofc its never them eh

Trump had good meetings with both Macron and Starmer in the Oval Office. Zelensky came in just a day or two later and attempted to sabotage Trump. That's on him. He'll pay the price.
Tbh that is not true. Macron told him he was wrong about a claim he made and Starmer was attacked by Vance!

How can ANYONE can think this treatment of Ukraine is right? And don’t give me “Zelensky rolled his eyes in the Oval Office and asked for security.” Do you honestly think what Trump has done to our ally Ukraine is appropriate “punishment”? It is cruel and gives Russia the advantage. Trump has blood on his hands, but he thinks he’s a tough guy Putin will admire. Dream on Trump.

I hope most of you folks realize that Trump wants to be a dictator and is almost there. He obviously hopes Putin will support his ambitions. Too bad Ukraine has to pay for Trump’s dictator aspirations.

Speaking about Russian missile and drone attacks on Ukraine’s eastern city of Dobropillia overnight, president Volodymyr Zelenskyy said on Facebook:

Such strikes show that Russia’s objectives have not changed. Therefore, it is crucial to continue to do our best to protect lives, strengthen our air defences, and increase sanctions against Russia. Everything that helps Putin finance the war must collapse.”

Bit rich tbh saying people would not come to America's assistance when we always have for one. I liked Macron's comment :) MSN

White House messaging on the war is 'all wrong' - former UK defence secretary

Defence Secretary Ben Wallace speaks with personnel after observing Ukrainian troops undergoing training at a military facility

Former UK Defence Secretary Sir Ben Wallace believes Russian President Vladimir Putin will not stop the aggression against Ukraine and says that Donald Trump is "naïve" to think otherwise.

Wallace tells BBC Radio 4's Today programme: "What I think is the saddest part of what we are witnessing at the moment from the White House is that the messaging is all wrong.

"The messaging seems to be from Donald Trump 'I will bully Ukraine and I will give hope to Russia'."

Wallace, who served as defence secretary under the previous government from 2019 to 2023, says that is the wrong message to send if the goal is to push Russia back or "make Putin think he better come to the table".

Wallace's comments come after the US increased pressure on Ukraine to sign a peace deal with Russia by denying it access to vital commercial satellite imagery - which Kyiv had been using to fight Russia's invasion.

I actually think he is pretty decent. He would not have been bad as leader of the Conservatives.

Andrew Roth

Donald Trump has said Vladimir Putin was “doing what anybody would do” after Russia launched a massive missile and drone strike on Ukraine days after the US cut off vital intelligence and military aid to Kyiv.

Speaking to reporters in the Oval Office on Friday Trump said he finds it “easier” to work with Russia than Ukraine and that Putin “wants to end the war”.

“I’m finding it more difficult, frankly, to deal with Ukraine. And they don’t have the cards,” Trump said. “In terms of getting a final settlement, it may be easier dealing with Russia.”

Asked whether the Russian leader was taking advantage of the pause in US intelligence sharing and military aid to Ukraine, Trump replied: “I actually think he is doing what anybody else would do.”

Senior US and Ukrainian officials plan to meet in Saudi Arabia next week as Volodymyr Zelenskyy and his advisers seek to revive relations with the US after a botched summit in the Oval Office during which Trump told Zelenskyy he was “gambling with world war three”.

Russia launched a massive drone and missile attack on Ukrainian energy facilities on Friday in the wake of the US decision to halt intelligence sharing with Ukraine that had helped it target incoming fire.

Speaking with reporters in the Oval Office, Trump said: “We’re doing very well with Russia. But right now they’re bombing the hell out of Ukraine.”

In a way, I dislike the word "civilians". But there really is no other word that encapsulates the victims.
Because I feel it sometimes desensitises people to who is being killed. They are non-fighting mums and dads, brothers and sisters, babies, grandmas and grandpas, aunts and uncles.

This photo is how some people are receiving their food and aid in Ukraine. Brought in by little carts through war ravaged territory.

Russia says it retook three villages from Ukraine in Kursk

The Russian defence ministry has announced the recapture of Viktorovka, Nikolayevka and Staraya Sorochina, according to Agence France-Presse (AFP) and Reuters.

According to DeepState, an online military tracker linked to the Ukrainianarmy, the Russian move followed a “breach” in Ukrainian defence lines near the town of Sudzha which is under Kyiv’s control.

“One of our units left its positions. After that the enemy reinforced its troops and systematically launched assault operations … and here’s the result,” said DeepState, which is followed by more than 800,000 subscribers on the Telegram website, reports AFP.

An army source interviewed by Ukrainska Pravda newspaper said that the Ukrainian soldiers were trying to “stabilise the situation” but the Russian troops had “completely cut off the supply lines”.

Serhiy Sternenko, a prominent Ukrainian activist, wrote on Thursday:

The logistics situation in the Kursk region is rapidly deteriorating and is already critical.”
“Logistics routes to Sudzha are under full enemy fire control,” he said in a post on X, citing information from army units in the area.
