I have been wondering if America was invaded and three or four cities were taken would Americans be content to say Well thats ok we have plenty of others to keep? No they would not. They would want their whole country and rightly so.
THANK YOU. This.

russia needs to GET OUT OF SOMEONE ELSE’S HOUSE. It’s LITERALLY THAT SIMPLE. Take your crap and GO HOME.

They do not live there. It is not their house. Ukrainians do not want them there. They have told them to leave. EVERYONE understands this basic premise. Also it is absolutely hysterical and yet oh so very on brand for this current wave of fascists that russia is a complete and utter dystopian mess, but they don’t seem super concerned about even slightly doing anything about fixing any of their OWN PROBLEMS before imposing themselves on other people who are just trying to mind their own business.

Children know you can’t just take someone else’s things without being admonished. I get that some elements have decided that rules and consequences should only apply to whichever group of people they personally hate this week, and that they can (and should) do and take and ruin whatever they feel like, but that doesn’t make them correct.

It’s not their country, and Ukraine doesn’t want them there. They need to leave. Completely. Period. It should be as simple as that.

"You know Zelensky blew it in the White House." .... Lindsey Graham

I don't even like Graham, but hey, he said it, and I've been saying the same all along.

and PLENTY of others have said differently!

There was a reason why leader upon leader told him they backed him after the appalling behaviour of Trump and Valance.

That Trump video! "Ukraine has to get on the ball and get a job done..." So inappropriate and patronising. Ukraine has been doing a very hard job for three years and it takes two to tango. JMO

As if I’m ever going to have any respect for or care about anything coming out of Lindsey Graham’s [mod snip] mouth ever again for the rest of his life.

Whatever they’ve got on that guy, I assume it must be BAD at this point.

There's even more to the story:

TODAY: Tweet 1 by Musk
TODAY: Tweet 2 by Poland's Radoslow Sikorski Responding to Musk
TODAY: Tweet 3 by US Secretary of State Marco Rubio

It's important to note that Marco Rubio is the current US Secretary of State.

Twitter is very busy pointing out to the Secretary of State that unlike what he implies in his tweet, Poland already shares a border with Russia via the Kaliningrad Oblast.

So, they've now also accused Poland of "just making things up". Poland. A NATO ally. A NATO ally that also happens to spend a higher percentage (4% in 2024 - & going up to 4.9% this 2025) of their GDP on NATO costs that the US (3.4%) does.

That's a big "OOPSIE!!" on the world stage, so now they are franticly trying to walk back the implied threat from Elon's original tweet ... and save face for Rubio. Someone needs to give him a map to carry around with him. IMO.

.
actually the amusing thing is that Rubio agrees that Ukraine is not off on an aggressive tangent; he basically says that Ukraine is protecting every county to its west IMO

I feel sorry for the Ukrainian people as well. Maybe they should put pressure on their leadereship to work toward an end to the war. Otherwise the killing and destruction will continue.
Putin has the power to immediately stop the war - his troops invaded Ukraine.
Giving in to bullies only makes them bigger bullies.

From that link

"Yesterday President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Ukraine expects the talks with the United States in Saudi Arabia to be productive and that Ukrainian interests will be taken into account."

And he knows his people trust their leader. Which can't be said about Trump! JMO

No ability to add the Ukrainian flag to an X profile now. Apparently it's been removed and some accounts that had it were suspended. MOO
What was all that about Freedom of speech and all that?

Ditching Ukraine would 'be worse than Afghanistan,' Republican senator says.

The U.S. cannot cut off aid to Ukraine while it fights against Russia, Republican Senator Lindsey Graham said on March 9.

US has 'just about' lifted pause on intelligence sharing with Ukraine, Trump tells media.

When asked whether the U.S. would end the suspension of intelligence sharing, Trump told reporters, "We just about have," according to Reuters.

Death sentence and persecution by Crimean Tatar family in Russia’s war against Crimean Solidarity

It is five years this week since Russia’s FSB burst into seven Crimean Tatar homes in occupied Bakhchysarai and began the slow execution of Crimean Solidarity civic journalist Amet Suleimanov (b. 1984) and relentless persecution of the family of a renowned Crimean Tatar historian. Seitumer Seitumerov (1988), his brother Osman Seitumerov (b. 1992) and their uncle Rustem Seitmemetov (b. 1973) have been imprisoned since 11 March 2020. That, however, did not stop the FSB from coming two years later for historian Shukhri Seitumerov’s last son - 23-year-old Abdulmedzhit Seitumerov who had just become a father. The three brothers’ great-grandfather was executed during Stalin’s Terror for supposed ‘counter-revolutionary terrorist propaganda’. 80 years later, Russia’s occupation regime used chillingly similar charges for its own show trials and politically motivated sentences against men who had not committed any crime.

The US has a duty to protect Ukraine IMO. In some ways the US is responsible for Russia invading Uk - because they gave up their nuclear weapons and there was an agreement. Not to honour that is dishonourable. No excuses JMO
Bill Clinton would agree. He regrets convincing them to give them up only to see the greement not honoured. He believes that Europe AND the United States should continue to support Ukraine and "not cut and run".

"Data released on Thursday showed that registrations of the company’s electric cars in Germany fell 76% to 1,429 last month.

Tesla was the world’s biggest producer of battery electric cars in 2024, but sales dropped to 1.79m ....

.... global protests against Musk and Tesla are intensifying. In America, there have been demonstrations outside dozens of Tesla showrooms, while in the UK a guerrilla poster campaign – “0 to 1939 in 3 seconds” – has emphasised Musk’s fascist-style salute at an inauguration rally. In Germany, he was recently caricatured on a carnival float as “Napo-Elon”. "

Isn't it great when people take action with their wallets?

Blame Canada, Blame Ukraine! Anybody but the unelected billionaire American Oligarch who's corruptly getting himself multi-millions in government contracts and paying zero in taxes.

It's like an episode of South Park. Great television. IMO.

The next person who goes off topic gets a time out. I don't care about flag emojis or anything like that.
Stop NAME CALLING. Discuss like you are adults, not like 10-year-olds in a schoolyard yelling "NEENER NEENER."
Sorry but I am losing my patience.

This is more than just stopping aid IMO. This is disabling existing equipment and aid. JMO

"The Donald Trump administration has cut off vital support for F-16 jamming capabilities."

"The United States, having decided to end its support for Ukraine, cannot simply turn off the Ukrainian Air Force’s U.S.-designed F-16 fighters . But the Trump administration has cut off vital support for their jamming capabilities, which could deprive the Ukrainian Air Force of a critical air countermeasure.

However, as Forbes analyst David Ax writes , the Ukrainians are not powerless and can shift the burden of air jamming onto the French Dassault Mirage 2000 fighters"

The whiplash from the constantly shifting policies is infuriating. One day one thing and the next day the opposite. All due to those in power trying to follow Trump’s ever-shifting mindset. Or perhaps whatever impulse Elon is having at a given moment.

If I find it so aggravating, I can’t imagine the effect it has on those whose lives hang in the balance.

Just about?

Just about - in anticipation of a signed 'bigger' minerals deal?
Just about - in anticipation of Ukraine agreeing to sacrifice their land to invading forces?

Or maybe it is 'just about' because he realises Ukraine's allies have likely taken on the intelligence sharing?

imo

I think it's the first two JMO. And also blackmail IMO. If you don't do xyz we won't lift it. Well they have new intel now :) MOO From that link:

"
Trump told reporters on March 9 that he believes Ukraine will sign a deal on critical minerals with the U.S., but that he also wants to see indications that Kyiv is ready for peace.

"They will sign the minerals deal but I want them to want peace ... They haven't shown it to extent they should," he said."

"
Zelensky reiterated his willingness to work with the U.S. towards a peace agreement.

"Nobody wants peace more than Ukrainians," he said."
