Musk calls Sen. Kelly a 'traitor' over trip to Ukraine, Kelly hits back.
Elon Musk, the billionaire businessman and head of the Department of Government Efficiency, called Democratic Sen. Mark Kelly a "traitor" in a post on X after Kelly posted that he had visited Ukraine over the weekend.

Unfortunately, Musk has complete control over X and can disseminate what I see as divisive propaganda, and can manipulate the algorithms on X to his choosing.

I think that many people have moved to other platforms so they can discuss things like the invasion of Ukraine without that kind of interference. X had lost 2.7 million US users as of mid-December, maybe even more by now. Link

imo

The group Anonymous apparently - saw a link - will see if I can find a postable link. Called it operation dreadnought against fascism. MOO

Edit - despite that, a group called Dark Storm Team have claimed responsibility MOO

"Elon Musk on Monday confirmed that X is facing a massive cyberattack after multiple global outages throughout the day.

“There was (still is) a massive cyberattack against . We get attacked every day, but this was done with a lot of resources. Either a large, coordinated group and/or a country is involved. Tracing,” he wrote.

Shortly after Musk's confirmation, a hacking group known as "Dark Storm Team" claimed responsibility for the DDoS attack on the platform via a post on Telegram, Newsweek reported."

The group Anonymous have claimed it was them - I've seen a link - will see if I can find a postable link. The called it operation dreadnought against fascism. MOO
Yes I should have added - I saw that the group Anonymous has claimed responsibility for the attack after it happened. I just find it extremely ridiculous that Musk would go on the record in saying it came from an IP address based in Ukraine - especially because IP addresses can be blocked and altered to appear to come from different locations than they really are. He’s doing it to stir up more anti-Ukrainian sentiments IMO.

The United States is leading with diplomacy. Ukraine can reject all of it if they choose. I’m not sure what that leaves for Ukraine other than never-ending war in that region of the world.

imo

IMO it’s not very diplomatic to blame the victim, an ally of the U.S., while throwing said ally to the wolves.

I see it as just a flex by Trump, because he can, and he enjoys watching the world scurry every time he makes a pronouncement.

"After voluntarily fighting in Ukraine to defend it from Russia’s invasion, and as the White House halts Ukrainian military aid, JD Vance’s first cousin has called the vice-president and Donald Trump “useful idiots” to the Russian dictator, Vladimir Putin."

the
Does anyone really care about the opinion of a cousin of our Vice President? Not sure how or why that is news. Reminds me of the Megan Markle family battles in the press.

Pretty pathetic, EU is actually considering witholding life-saving medicines and medical devices for Americans.
IMO, this is almost exactly what Trump is doing to Zelenskyy and Ukraine. Basically withholding things (aid/intelligence/technology) in order to get him to sign a deal that forces Ukraine to give up part of their sovereignty. I guess it’s only ok when Trump does it to other counties, but not when it happens to the US?

Hope Elon can get to the bottom of it and find out the actual source of the terrorist attack on X.

Elon Musk gave an interview today on Fox Business news where he blamed the cyber attack that happened to X on Ukraine 🙄 I have no idea why he has inserted himself into this global issue to begin with but it’s very frustrating.

Pretty sure that Ukraine are busy with other things right now :(

See link - a group called Dark Storm Team have claimed responsibility. A pro Palestinian agenda according to the link

Musk hasn't retracted his view that it was from the Ukraine area even though another group has claimed responsibility! An IP address during a DDOS attack means nothing JMO

It's now all over the internet that Musk reported it being from the Ukraine area. MOO

Ukraine in maps: Tracking the war with Russia

"The Ukrainian delegation will propose a ceasefire in the sky and at sea during the upcoming talks with the U.S. this week on ending the war with Russia, the Ukrainian media outlet Suspilne reported on March 10, citing a Ukrainian official speaking on condition of anonymity."

"The Ukrainian delegation will also insist on releasing prisoners of war and is ready to sign an agreement on mineral resources with the U.S., according to the source."

"The U.S. delegation, in turn, will insist that Kyiv agree to a partial truce that would enable negotiations to stop the Russian invasion, Bloomberg reported on March 10."

How can Ukraine agree a partial truce BEFORE negotiations have taken place with Russia? MOO

Also in another link on here earlier, it was said the minerals deal either won't be included in these talks or won't be the main part of it. JMO

Russian governor claims three killed in Ukrainian strike on shopping centre

Three people were killed and nine others wounded in a Ukrainian strike on a shopping centre in Russia's Kursk region, the region's governor has said.

Alexander Khinshtein said the attack hit the village of Belaya, located in the Belovsky district.

Citing preliminary data, he said the wounded, including four children aged 13-14, had been transported to a local hospital.

Russian forces advanced further in Kursk region on Monday and curled behind Ukrainian forces as part of a major encirclement operation aimed at forcing thousands of Ukrainian soldiers to either flee or surrender in western Russia.

Zelenskyy apologised over White House row in letter to Trump, Witkoff claims

Volodymyr Zelenskyy has apologised to Donald Trump over the extraordinary Oval Office row between the two, the US president's Middle East envoy has said.

"Zelenskyy sent a letter to the president," Steve Witkoff told Fox News today.

"He apologised for that whole incident that happened in the Oval Office.

"I think that it was an important step and there's been a lot of discussion between our teams and the Ukrainians and the Europeans who are relevant to this discussion as well."

Witkoff said he thought a letter apologising over the explosive meeting was "progress".

Zelesnkyy had previously described the row as "regrettable", but has stopped short of apologising.

Zelensky can't be accused of not trying. I think if it was me I'd have said I apologise "for my part" rather than apologise as if it's all your fault! MOO

Can't see that being a dangling carrot in the US. A large swath of Americans think vaccines and antibiotics aren't necessary and they've got relatives in the grave to prove it. I mean talk about being misunderstood, RFK jr. Secretary of Health and Services has proposed taking antibiotics for measles - a virus not a bacterial infection. Go figure. You do you, Robbie.

"Advisers to U.S. President Donald Trump are discussing easing sanctions against Russia, including those imposed on Russian oil, a major source of funding for the war in Ukraine, Bloomberg reported on March 10, citing sources.

The news comes as Ukraine and the U.S. are set to hold talks on ending Russia's war in Saudi Arabia this week.

The Trump administration is seeking options to make "a step forward" and encourage the Kremlin to negotiate an end to the war

Rewarding bad behaviour again IMO. Or is it just all about oil? JMO
