What is a Spanish military plane doing landing in Poland?

? Evacuating Spanish citizens who fled Ukraine?
Could be anything, - food medicine, military equipment?
There is a tweet, that the aircraft/airbus was flying under NATO in 2020,landed in Turkey in 2020. #Syria

Maybe the NATO wants to be prepared ,in case the peace meeting didn’t end well....? :(

I'm very worried about Zelentsky and all his ministers and officers if Putin uses those thermobaric bombs. There might not be any remains to identify.

The streets may be empty but there are still thousands of people in Kyiv. It would be a mass slaughter.

Russia Stumbles in Biggest Test of Its Military Force - WSJ
The Russian military has faltered early in its invasion of Ukraine, as stiff resistance threatens to turn Moscow’s hopes for a swift victory into a protracted and costly war, U.S. officials and allied military experts say.

The Kremlin’s ongoing invasion represents the most formidable challenge for the Russian military since it was modernized under Gen. Valery Gerisimov, Russia’s top military officer who was appointed to his post in 2012. Yet no Ukrainian cities have been taken by the Russian military. Some of the Ukrainian Air Force and air defenses are still intact.

It was questioned a few pages back when the talks are planned for:

UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson "doubts" Russian President's Vladimir Putin's "sincerity" in entering talks with Ukraine.

Talks between Ukrainian and Russian representatives are set to begin at the Belarus border on Monday morning local time, according to Ukrainian officials.

Putins camp are probably shuffling papers and stalling so the deadly tank convoy can get to Kviv.

I don’t even know why these talks are taking place.
Putin is not going to stop the attacks unless Ukraine surrenders and Ukraine is not going to do that, so what is there to talk about.
I hope Ukrainian forces are not interpreting these talks as a cease fire because I am sure the Russians aren’t.

I 100% agree with you. I hope no Ukrainian officials turn up at that dodgy meeting.

A person familiar with the talks later said that discussions are still ongoing. The person said any planes would be supplied directly by EU member states and not funded through an arrangement announced earlier for the EU to finance weapons deliveries to Ukraine.

Mr. Borrell said that Mr. Kuleba had requested planes that Ukrainian Air Force pilots can fly. Ukraine's jet fighters are Soviet-built MiG and Sukhoi models.

Some current EU members that were once part of the USSR-led Warsaw Pact still fly such planes or have old ones parked.

EU Member Countries in Talks to Supply Ukraine With Jet Fighters

I wish NATO would agree to establish a no-fly zone over Ukraine. I feel if they would have done that before the actual invasion it might not have happened.
But then Putin is crazy, so maybe not.

I see no indication in the most recent updates from Kyiv that there is any cessation of vigilance or defense activities at all.

Hundreds gather in downtown Toronto to rally in support of Ukraine.

''A sea of blue and yellow flags could be spotted in Toronto’s downtown core as thousands of people marched through the streets Sunday afternoon in support of the Ukrainian people.

The crowd originally gathered at Dundas and Yonge streets before slowly making their way to Nathan Phillips Square.

“We’re here today to give out the message that all these people here, Ukrainians, Canadians, every people from every walk of life are here to support Ukraine,” President of Ukrainian-Canadian Congress Peter Schturyn said''

''One participant told CP24 that that some of his family is in a bomb shelter due to non-stop air attacks while his nearly 90-year-old mother is stuck in her apartment.

“Our families suffer, our friends suffer. We are here to support them,” the man said. “The whole world has to unite and help Ukrainians through these dark times.”

Another person said her family is in hiding and have told her that buildings nearby are shaking from all of the explosions.

“It’s impossible to move anywhere now,” she said. “They’re blocked and a lot of people trying to go to Poland to escape the war, they spend two days on the border and they can’t even cross and they go back.”

Detailed information about the attack on the preschool Feb 25.

Ukraine: Cluster munitions kill child and two other civilians taking shelter at a preschool - Amnesty International
A preschool in north-eastern Ukraine was hit on the morning of 25 February with widely-banned cluster munitions while civilians took shelter inside, killing three of them, including a child, and wounding another child, Amnesty International said today. The attack appears to have been carried out by Russian forces, which were operating nearby, and which have a shameful record of using cluster munitions in populated areas.

Amnesty International has confirmed that a 220mm Uragan rocket dropped cluster munitions on the Sonechko nursery and kindergarten in the town of Okhtyrka in Sumy Oblast, where local people were seeking safety from the fighting. The strike may constitute a war crime.

[...]

“There is no possible justification for dropping cluster munitions in populated areas, let alone near a school,” said Agnès Callamard, Secretary-General of Amnesty International. “This attack bears all the hallmarks of Russia’s use of this inherently indiscriminate and internationally-banned weapon, and shows flagrant disregard for civilian life.”

The strike violates the prohibition on indiscriminate attacks and damaged a school, a structure legally entitled to special protection. Under the 2008 Convention on Cluster Munitions — a treaty backed by more than 100 states, but which Ukraine and Russia have not joined — the use, development, production, acquisition, stockpiling and transfer of cluster munitions is prohibited under all circumstances. Customary international humanitarian law prohibits the use of inherently indiscriminate weapons such as cluster munitions. Launching indiscriminate attacks that kill or injure civilians constitutes a war crime.

Drone video footage taken from the scene shows that cluster munitions struck at least seven locations on or near the building, four on the roof and three on the pavement immediately outside the school. Two injured or dead civilians are also visible in the footage, as are pools of blood. An additional 65 photos and videos that Amnesty International acquired from a local source shows more details of the scene, the victims and their family members, and the damage to the school.

But then Putin is crazy, so maybe not.

IMO NATO is and must navigate this entire situation thoughtfully, yet sternly. I feel they have appropriately responded with outrage, and are prepared to protect alliance members. With NATO being part of Putins grievance, I believe they know that direct intervention between Russia and Ukraine will trigger war outside of Ukraine.

So you did,was searching in the meantime...about my country and the Russian vessels :

In Jan,20 there were , three Russian ships at the coast of NL and guided by a hydrographic operation and an NH-90 helicopter from Den Helder.

‘According to British media, three ships belong to the so-called Baltic Fleet and three to the Northern Fleet, the most powerful of the four fleets that make up the Russian navy. It concerns two groups of three ships that would be empty but can each carry 25 armored vehicles.’

So was wondering if NATO required, the vessels the Dutch marine has..

*you can select the language to Engels/English on the website ^

Because I read this:
“Oleksandr Svidlo, the acting mayor of the town of Berdyansk on Ukraine's southern coast, has said that Russian forces have entered and taken control of the town.

Berdyansk, which has a small naval base, has a population of about 100,000.

Svidlo posted a message to the town's residents on his Facebook page Sunday which said, "A few hours ago, you and I witnessed how heavy military equipment and armed soldiers entered the city and began advancing throughout our hometown. As soon as I learned about that, I tried to inform all the residents of the city so that you have the opportunity to hide in shelters."

"The irony of all of this is Putin wanted to be a great leader but Zelenskiy is the one they're going to make a movie about" - @NikaSilchenko

I’ve just found out that Zelensky was the voice of Paddington Bear in the Ukraine dubbed version of the movie. He also won Strictly/Dancing over there.

He seems to have an ever increasing international fan base. Mad Vlad must be fuming!
