She is a brave individual, and I fear for her safety. She also released a video just before this happened of how ashamed she is for the role she has played in the propaganda.

I have been in thought about this today. Just my opinion, but I think the chances of nuclear conflict have lessened.
If Putin is asking China for military equipment, something is super amiss in Russia.
If Putin tries that, I'm 50% of the persuasion his inner circle will stop him. Permanently.
If he stupidly sets off a nuke anywhere near Russia, the wind will blow the fallout on Russia.

Terrible about the war correspondents. This war is reminding more and more of Vietnam every time I watch the news. I am waiting for the news to switch to calling numbers next. This is some bad juju.

Even psychopaths need a team sometimes. A team that stands to lose less and gain more if certain subjects are removed from discussion so to speak. I'm banking on greed and self preservation. Jmo

Apparently, it is thought that Syrian mercenaries are signing up (to assist Russia) in droves because they/some want to live in Europe. They want visas.
The source believed Russia may be able to garner up to 50,000 fighters — if they're willing to pay, or at least offer citizenship to the separatist Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics now recognized by Moscow.
The politician argued that, rather than believing in this cause, such fighters may ultimately be seeking refugee status in Europe.
"Moreover, like in Libya, most Syrian rebels who went there for Turkey ended up in Italy," the politician said. "They wanted to go to Europe. Many of them will escape from Poland to Germany now."

I am grateful that Musk did send the Starlink technology to Ukraine.
Challenging Putin to one-on-one combat with Ukraine as the stakes---unique idea from a brain that thinks differently and has the money to prove it, but would never happen.
Then Russia responds to him, calling him a weakling. Which we know is, to Putin, the lowest a man can be.
