I think maybe police are pissed off at all the attention from people trying to solve the crime, all of us ,they are under great pressure now they're trying to keep it to themselves or maybe they know something
They can be pissed off as much as they like, but they are under pressure for good reason... people are only trying to help and solve a crime to help! I believe and am confident they have a shedload of information that is way beyond our knowledge...I believe they know what happened, have a great deal of evidence and choose not to share it...in my opinion, they have a suspect and gathering evidence...

I do wonder whether the two deaths in ballarat today could be linked to the disappearance of SM. An omcg member or associate would need to have a big problem to dispose of themselves.

At the end of this recent HS article (8pm tonight), it says that there are no suggestions that the two deaths are related to the search for Samantha in any way.

Yes, could quite easily be the case. It could have been planned for some time.
There would some 'Interesting' people in her husband's line of work that he would know quite well and his customers would know. The fact, there is no trace of any anything is strange
If she did go for her run, it would be very easy to kidnap her somewhere isolated on one of those tracks, especially when so many people know her movement

But why ??? Divorce, new romance ???
Jealousy, revenge or payback to MM over something…just mo.

I'm still scratching my head with the news of telephone towers failure on THAT day
You just couldn't make it up.
TBH I am wondering if that information was a Police /Media Strategy… to make someone think that they could not be tracked with GPS and telephone data ????

But JMOOOOOO

Wow!
How sneaky!

Or the saying from one poster that misfortunes come in 3s.

When I wrote that in my country (Poland)
they come in pairs.

Based on reading the discussion, as well as a few news stories, the basics are that she left the house at 7 AM for a 14 km run. She was expected home around 9 AM. The family was concerned when she did not return on time, and contacted police soon after. Please correct if I'm mistaken.

Rather than focus on whether she left the house, why not accept what police have said: she left the house. That puts her near her driveway and Eureka St at 7 AM.

Then she vanished into thin air and, at this time, there's no evidence telling investigators which direction she went next. However, she's has a regular running routine from the house at 7 AM to the park trails, where she routinely runs 10-20 km. Map of nearby trails. She isn't on the road very long before reaching the park, but searches suggest that she is not at the park.

Her phone pinged 10 hours later, 11 km away, at a golf course. I have not seen any other ping information. I am curious about smart watch data.

All CCTV trace of her vanished at the end of her driveway or on Eureka. Since she's not there or at the park, that means she was voluntarily or involuntarily taken in a vehicle to another location.

The driver of that vehicle might have turned on her phone at 5 PM for some reason, or accidentally.

OPINION: Sounds like a random stalker that she was unaware of - someone who saw her jogging early in the morning. Perhaps this happened on a Sunday, rather than a weekday, for a reason. Perhaps someone saw her, noticed her routine, got the wrong idea, planned for a day off work, and now she cannot be found.
I am sure police have received lots of information from witnesses who have seen something. I know what country towns are like and people do talk, neighbours are up early walking around, they know everyone.

There has been nothing released to the media regarding her close friends commentating about any personal problems with her in the marriage etc. A blanket has been thrown over the media at the moment, which sounds like the police are following some strong leads

Though it is not unusual for telecomms providers to do maintenance and upgrades over weekends because it tends to affect less customers than if they did them during the week.

And, in this case, they apparently made sure they kept a strong tower going to handle the (lesser) weekend phone traffic.

imo

The voice of reason :D

Always good to have on forum haha

I thought the same thing tbh. You have a murder/suicide of a known bikie in the general area of a missing person. The missing persons Information has been removed from VicPol’s website at the same time, makes my mind go like a hamster on a wheel.

Of course it could be completely unattached, but geez, Ballarat is red hot atm.

I can’t help think about all the people, and particularly all the children, who are hurting so much because of these 2 incidences.

I’ve been on quite a few threads now with SouthAussie and they’re definitely a voice of reason!

You’re totally right about it’s good to have on a forum, it’s keeps crazies like me who get one tiny sniff of a rumour and take it as fact and run with it like a rat up a drain pipe in check lol.

MM thanked the community for their help in his press conference, but not his family…not the aunty or uncle, or SM’s sister and her M&D haven’t seemingly gone there to support the children either. (An online news report said SM sister told the reporters to leave her parents home). My family would be all over me if my DH went missing. So have to wonder if there was some disagreement in the fam about something.
