"In Victoria, the details are tested in court, not at a press conference" :D

I felt he handled it well, was clear, was respectful to family and journos. I did appreciate that comment.

Haven't mentioned "planned" yet so "deliberate"' could easily quantify as doing it and then covering it up?
If your theory has legs, it is quite remarkable that the police simply did not mention a car being involved in the murder in any capacity whatsoever. Quite the contrary, the words used were clearly, 'attack'. The suspect 'attacked' Samantha. no mention of any weaponry, vehicle, article, at all.

He's obviously covered it up because he's not disclosed the location of the body.

Yeah that's what i mean though in terms of "deliberate". Like they are defining it as that possibly because he covered it up? Rather than it being a planned attack?

Because then he's admitting that he killed her. Without a body he still has space to deny it
He thinks they wont be able to prove he killed her without a body. Silly little boy. The prisons are full of lifers who thought that.

Hmm interesting - no body and accused hasn’t given them the location of the body, BUT police are certain she’s dead and it was murder. They must have some sort of evidence.

Well they haven't really revealed anything yet as to the murder charge other than it being "deliberate" which they haven't expanded on at all.

Not sure how it works but would they give up all their details and evidence before a court case?

Exactly, you explained it better than I!

He's ruled it out several times in the presser.
I liked his comment of,"evidence heard in court not in a press conference. "
Yeah I probably should have put the iPad down while the press conference was on and focused on it properly! I’ve gotta watch it again cos I’ve missed a bunch I reckon cos I was stupidly websleuthing at the same time.

What a fool I am, minds going a thousand directions and non seem to be straight lol.

Why is the murderer refusing to disclose where Samantha’s body is?
the type of person he is? it is his only bargaining chip (in his mind). He isn't interested in bringing relief or closure to the family or community. He's out for himself. (MOO)

Why is the murderer refusing to disclose where Samantha’s body is?
Probably so he can barter for a lesser sentence, seems to be the flavour of the day.

Once he gives up the location of the body, all his bargaining power is lost.

When the press asked him, he refused to mention anything about means/ Motive

My first guess is that he will plead not guilty. He's not about to volunteer information to police if that is his intention
IMO

Could deliberate and not "hit n run" be:

Because the suspect hit and took her body and deliberate because didn't assist and knowingly covered it up?

I don't think so, based on the many comments from the police commissioner on this subject in the conference.

He may be using it as bargaining power, who knows.
No body, no parole. That's the law, and that's the deal. Every one in the country knows that.

BBM : Of course not. There is a reason we have courts.

One thing I picked up in that presser - Patton was asked (I'm paraphrasing the first part): "Was the man charged known to Samantha and her family" and he replied "He wasn't known to the family".

That could mean all of them, or it could mean he was known to Samantha?

Source on child *advertiser censored* is SOCIT doing active work on the suspect who has been on their radar for quite some time. Will see if more comes of it.

But info I have is they were on drugs, driving super recklessly around and he has crashed his car multiple times.

Not a one off in terms of the drug driving/driving wrecklessly etc.

Will be interesting to see if all is true in the coming time though.
That fits in with the police asking if anyone had seen a car with damage to it. I guess they had him in their sites quite a while ago.

Refused to comment on drugs being involved or a sexual motive, but did rule out a hit and run

I dare say not much more comes out until the court case now. Police wouldn't want to divulge too much information that will need to be presented in court to prove guilt.
