I tracked Santa, too... Christmas 2007 was the best tracking year, ever... they actually did 24 hr real time and started at the international date line.

As for NORAD tracking the satellite... safe bet says yes.

Read yesterday it's barely going to mis earth, then another article it's completely different.
Just maybe if it gets close to where eve,r sirens will be blown so you can run for the hills....
