The attempted intercept is unlikely to take place this evening. I haven't heard the reasons.
This is a problem with launches from ships, and/or submarines. Waves can only be so high.Don't they have some type of stabilizer on these ships for problems such as this? It just seems like they would have that technological advantage....

"Now that the satellite has been broken up by the missile, the debris will come down over a wide area over the coming weeks as they are slowed by atmospheric friction. Re-entry will happen when the pieces reach about 100km."

Most of the pieces will burn up during re-entry. It should be possible to see some kind of blazing fireball in the sky when that happens. Satellites fall back to earth all the time, and no one has ever been hurt.![]()
