Nothing at all. I'm thinking about emailing some of the local news outlets to at least let them know there's interest in the story. Bonilla was arrested for obstruction TWO WEEKS ago. LE is dead silent.

I want to hope that, but the longer we go with no news and no body (unfortunately what I'm expecting at this point), the more I believe they're just focusing on getting him to talk. I don't know if that's normal for LE here, to go dead silent, though.

I contacted the Post and Courier and they said as far as they knew, there was nothing new to report, but she'd "put a bug in the crime reporters' ears" to see if there was anything else they could find out.

I hope he breaks and tells her family what he did and where to find her body, God rest her soul. I hope others will learn from this. The dangers of online dating/meeting is an all too real problem that is taken for granted.

Such a stupid, phony post. A guy who really had dumped off his date at a gas station would NOT post about it publicly out of embarrassment. This guy tried, in vain, to "prove" she was alive when he last saw her. Dumb a** perp.

I'm local to the area and have been following along here. I sure hope for the sake of the family and loved ones this criminal tells where her body is. As tragic as the crime is, to not be able to give your child, sister, mother and friend a proper burial and resting spot is evil beyond human. I hope LE digs deep and hard to find her. I am so sorry to her loved ones.

Did Ashley leave her cell phone at home for a reason like that, maybe?

Chance says her sister left her cellphone at home the night she apparently met Bonilla.

After exchanging text messages, Bonilla called Chance back, and gave her his full name.

"If the phone hadn't been here, we didn't have no clue who left with her,” Chance said.
