Im sure their stats are more accurate that I’ve read but this sentence is about what I expected from looking into these cases since it happened. There are some that have much lower sentences I’m sure but I’m just lost on what her defense is looking at to say it’s disproportionate.

She was an adult, and it mentions her "history" with alcohol. That is significant to me. Has she had prior DUI? Or deferred sentence to attend treatment?

That means she knew she had a problem with alcohol. Yet chose to go drinking and bar hopping. People can stay home and watch TV. Just saying, no one forces alcohol down your throat and makes you drive. If you want to drink, buy $200 bucks of liquor, and have an alcoholic binge at home. No one cares that she is an alcoholic. The issue is that she decided to drive impaired and killed someone.

Life is not fair. Criminals can't compare their sentence to someone else's sentence and whine. This is your sentence, based on the judge's decision on your behavior. 25 years.

She chose to go drinking, bar hopping and then drive on many occasions. Not her 1st rodeo. Unfortunately, she wasn't caught before the night of Sam and Aric's wedding at least AFAIK. Five minutes on either side of the accident and she might still be out drinking and driving today.

I'm always amazed at those who think they can manage a one to two-ton automobile after drinking all day. I'm even more amazed at those who drink excessively and don't plan ahead of time for a designated driver or Uber and leave their car at home. And I'm astounded at those drunks whose friends/bar staff would not take their keys away and call for a ride.

Maybe her lawyers are looking at cases like this for like sentencing.

Precisely. I don't know what her counsel is looking at with respect to any kind of defense at all.

I've just checked the case docket, and there's nothing new to be seen. My assumption is that the judge has taken the motion to reconsider under submission - wondering how long we - and Ms. Komoroski - will have to wait for an answer thereto ........

That sentence will save lives from drunk driving. Including hers.

25 is not enough. She's a danger outside of custody.

Hopefully this means 25 yrs in prison, not a reduction for good behavior.
I kinda have to laugh about doing the AA Program behind bars. Everyone can be sober when they have no access to alcohol.

I scrolled thru the SCDC roster and Komoroski has been moved to Leath, home of Susan Smith.
