I could be wrong, but I believe those were, in fact, the initial contacts, when they were trying to find Brittanee immediately after she went missing. Those statements came from the police report from that Sunday, 4/26. Obviously those contacts would have to be by telephone because they were no longer in MB. I don't think the other option at that early of a stage was a good option, namely that instead of making immediate contact with the boys they wait until such time as LE could get up to NY to interview them.
What I am curious to know is if LE ever followed up with them and interviewed them. I am just curious how we know it wasn't done in the days/weeks/months/years since Brittanee went missing. I'm not too hung up on those initial reports because time was off the essence at that point
Dawn has repeatedly said she would like actual interviews done. RPD wouldn't do them to avoid "stepping on toes" and MBPD didn't come to Rochester. It has always been something Dawn has asked & said she wanted from the beginning & repeatedly.
