I'm going on the assumption that she punched the officer first........sorry you missed the connection to this story.

Some of the videos show the former officer standing still talking and then walking calmly up to her desk. I think if she had hit him he would have been on her right after she struck him.
The only contact I have seen is when she grasps his arm as though trying to make him break contact with her, and of course this is while he has her by the neck and tipping her desk back. IMO

I agree. He tries to come off as fair minded but you can tell he has resentment for having to fire his officer. IMO

KInd of heartwarming to see this. I know that many students are sick of disruptive, rude students who block their learning time. I am glad some of them have decided to stand up and be heard.

There was nothing legal about what that officer did and he should have been fired and he should be prosecuted IMO.
These kids might think he was an excellent RO but his past actions do not excuse his actions in this instance.
But I respect their right to protest. At least they are willing to stand up for something even if I don't agree with their reasoning.

It is not hard to know they would be safe. Before the 'attack' she defied requests by the teacher, then denied request by the administrator, and then defied the officer who attempted to arrest her. That is a long, slow process.

That seems to be a bit of a stretch here. She was a rude, disruptive student that was preventing the others from learning the math lesson. She was neither a socialist nor a Jew, as if it mattered.

Those students standing up for Officer Fields gave me the first glimmer of hope I've had for this nation in a very long time.

It wouldn't have been them who was attacked, and they know it. An orderly, peaceful group who gathered for 10 minutes and then followed the principal's instructions that now it's time to return to class aren't the students who drive otherwise blemishless RO's to lose their cool. These are exactly the kind of students, IMHO, who are fed up with lack of order in the classroom during learning time.

She's new? And this is how she presents herself? She was not assaulted while the nation watched,we watched after the fact. Unless you have a link that we can watch these sorts of things live. And NO I have no respect for people like her so NO it would not bother me for her to be shunned. She is the cause of ALL of her problems, And that is my opinion. jmo idk

She is new to the school. Her mother just died. She was just placed in foster care and she was assaulted because she protested a school handbook policy.
Where was the respect granted to her prior to this incident?
