A short time later, deputies say they found the charred Chevrolet Metro in the Francis Marion Forest near Cordsville on Tuesday. The vehicle, which belonged to Woods, was located about a mile off Cane Gully Road, investigators said.

"Someone was in the area, looking around and spotted the vehicle," said Berkeley County Sheriff's spokesman Dan Moon."[They] walked a little ways and spotted the body."

Now, investigators are talking about, "finding the bad person who did this." Authorities said there would be a possible identification of the body, which was found about 100 yards away from the car, on Wednesday. The sheriff's office says they are also continuing to search the area with crews that include a dive team.

Moncks Corner is about a 2 hour drive from Elgin. One of the links above states they are looking for a white male so I don't believe this is connected to Gabbiee's case. JMO

What's up with Francis Marion Forest? If anybody recalls the Dara Watson case from maybe 6 months ago, her car was burned in that forest and body later found there. Her fiance was responsible, so it's unrelated to this, but still weird about the forest.

When I first read the car was burned and a body was found outside the car, I was thinking maybe it was an accident. It doesn't look like that's the case. I wonder where June could be. Is there anyone they think could have been after her. . .an old boyfriend, jealous girl, etc?

ETA- it just seems to me that June was the target here. Dana is found with the car but no June. Idk. . .I could be wrong. . .any thoughts?

I just read this case on a facebook "Missing" group. I also read the comments on an MSM post. There is interesting information shared there.

I'm going to watch this thread with anticipation that the suspect is found swiftly. It's a great sign that the FBI is involved IMO.

Any idea if they had went to pick someone up who asked for a ride (from McDonalds) or if maybe it was a robbery by someone whom they knew? I'm speculating if they had received a text to give someone a ride, the girls went together and things went very South after that. But, if the vehicle they were in together was burned, how the heck did anyone get home? Unless of course they were followed by someone ..

BERKELEY COUNTY, SC (WCSC) -
Officials with the Berkeley County Sheriff's Office say they have located another female body 10 miles away from where investigators found the body of Dana Marie Woods.

Authorities say the body was found on Greenwood Road in Alvin. Investigators have not identified the body. Berkeley County Sheriff's Office investigators were continuing to look for 22-year-old June Guerry, who last seen with Woods on Sunday night at a home in Pinopolis.

This is just AWFUL, and that's putting it mildly. If it is here, 10 miles is very far away. The only way she got there was by either.

. being injured and walked / ran those 10 miles over the course of time

. She was taken there first and met her demise and her friend had to drive 10 miles away with this terrible person, no doubt in distress and a million thoughts racing through her head. I cannot possibly imagine.

I believe the 2nd is the most likely of the two scenarios. My question remains, if the perp burned the car - how on earth did he get away? Is this spot close to home? Because it looks like at some point he:

. committed both murders and then drove the car itself to purchase execrator, and came back to torch the car.

. He called the girls for help (or flagged them down), stated he ran out of gas. They drove him to a gas station where he purchased canisters and gasoline and he brought it with him. Now again. how did he get home?

He either lives very near OR called another person to pick him up. The motive is mysterious. I hope the family receives closure soon. My heart breaks for them.
