Sheriff: Mother of 3 found dead along Spartanburg County road

The 44-year-old Reidville mother's body was found in a wooded road on Davis Road by a bicyclist.

Lieutenant Kevin Bobo with the Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office said her death has been ruled a homicide.

On 15 April 2022 Rodney Juan Baker received a reduced sentence after he pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter of Dawn Harper Allen, and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.
He received a 5-year prison sentence on the weapons charge and a consecutive 30-years suspended to 5 years probation on the voluntary manslaughter charge.
