Authorities are looking for Deidre Reid, 41, who was last seen in Pageland, S.C., on Friday.

She was headed to the Greyhound bus station in Charlotte, N.C., to drop off a male acquaintance, Emanuel Bedford, according to deputies.

Reid never made it to the bus station and her cellphone is going straight to voicemail.

She was last seen in a gray older-model Chevrolet Tahoe with a New York Giants tag on the front.

Her acquaintance Bedford, has ties to the Burke County area.

If you make contact with them, call 843-672-6437.

I wonder how well Deidre knows Emanuel? Is he missing as well?

missing a few days already and no update. No mention of whether the man was found already. Aren't there cameras at the bus station?

Scary -- where are they? Are they good friends?
They've just disappeared...for now. Are any of her relatives close by? Was she planning to visit or meet someone before or after she dropped him at the bus station?

Well this is an opened ended issue. She never made it to the bus station ( and she was taking the friend to the bus station) SO, he never made it there. Any CCTV on the car or did they not even make out of the house ( or wherever) they were staying?Where was the friend traveling to? Did they decide to take a road trip? ( not expecting answers, just thinking)

This might sound obvious...but what's Emmanuel's status? Is he missing too? Was he in the car heading to the Greyhound station? Since she is confirmed as having not made it to the station, did he exit at some point and use another transportation method to make it to the bus station?

The trip to Charlotte would take about an hour and it's on good highways -- IMO a car accident would have been obvious, so I don't think that's what happened... Just thinking about possibilities, and ruling this out. Unless they somehow traveled on back roads, and why would they do that? It's like they disappeared...

I've driven through Pageland to Charlotte many times. I wonder which way she went though? From Pageland, Highway 601 is 4 lane all the way to Monroe (well, all the way to Charlotte actually). Lots of truck traffic but an easy enough drive. Once you hit Monroe, the traffic intensifies and any sort of accident would be noticed for sure. However, you can also get to Charlotte staying on Highway 9 out of Pageland and driving to Lancaster to get on Highway 521. Two lane roads, not nearly as much traffic, and it's really dark out that way at night.

Couldn't see in any of the Facebook reports what time of day or night Deidre and her friend left Pageland. I personally wouldn't drive to Charlotte from Pageland on Highway 9 at night.

Good info -- Thanks!
Your remark about Highway 9 at night is a bit scary -- I wonder if that area has been searched for skid marks, etc. Could the car have run off the road and crashed and be hidden from travelers going down that road?

The Greyhound station is in a fringe area (in my opinion) and September 3rd was a Friday night - the start of the Labor Day weekend. Big football weekend.
Georgia/Clemson played at Bank of America Stadium the next day - lots of people in that general area.
If she made it to Charlotte.

Any SM for Deidre?

Interestingly, all of the most recent posts and appeals by LE have removed mention of Emmanuel.

Do a search for her name. Another website that shall not be named has information regarding the man she was allegedly with, and what happened at the bus station.

I wish her brother would find his way here.

Not sure if it’s the one being hinted but the only site I could find starts with R (discussion type site).
Hope that helps
