Sorry, my bad -- thought I was at the last page of the thread when I wasn't!
No worries.
IMO, this case is quite confusing in general!

Missing woman case has connection to Burke CountySo both bedford and the deceased fiance claimed to be the father of the youngster??
Confused...
All IMO Do we need to throw all the "old" info into the tombola over and over again, and pull older stuff up, clouding the water? @mlhenn is giving updates and summaries over and over again. Thank you. IMO...as I see it....Deidre was 33 and Emanuel was 20 when she got pregnant with their son, born approx. 2013....Later in live she met a guy (as stated fiancee, by her family) with two daughters...sadly he died in 2021. In his obituary his two daughters were mentioned of course, but also a son with the surname Reid. Deidre is not mentioned in his obituary at all, odd IMO, if she was his fiancee or even lover and the mother of the mentioned son with surname Reid....FB pages of Mr. P shows (older?) pictures of them together, happy, so what was going on at the time he died in June, 2021? Did his family disapprove of the relationship, did they split up just before he died? I don't know but the only thing I can think off is that this son's biological father is Emanuel Bedford, kind of adopted by Mr. P, in a relationship with Deidre and wanted him to see that he is loved, mentioning him in the obituary by the one who wrote it. Don't know what is going on....I really think her family must set some things straight to understand the things that possibly lead up to her becoming missing.
Human remains found in wooded area
DREXEL — Human remains were found in a wooded area in Drexel over the weekend.
Deputies with the Burke County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched at 4:20 p.m. Saturday to 3570 Oak Drive in Drexel to investigate what appeared to be human remains found by local residents in a wooded area, according to a release from the sheriff’s office.
BCSO’s criminal investigations division, the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation and the medical examiner all were dispatched to the scene. The medical examiner verified that the remains were human, the release said.
The human remains found in Drexel were in Burke County, NC.
The POI arrested was in Burke County, GA.
This probably isn't Deidre Reid. JMO.

The family of a Pageland woman who has been missing for more than a month is speaking out after her son’s father was charged in connection to her disappearance.
Jammie Avery said her sister, Deidre Reid, 41, was last seen on September 3rd when she was supposed to take Emanuel Bedford, the father of her son, to the Greyhound Bus Station in Charlotte.
On Monday, police booked Bedford at the Burke County jail in Georgia on charges of Grand Larceny and Obstructing Justice. He will be extradited to South Carolina.
“We do know that he was the last person to see her and he has all the answers that we need,” said Avery, “So the fact that they got him gives us hope.”

They have more hope now that Bedford will lead investigators to Deidre. Right now—they say he is not giving them anything.
”I hate that he did that to my sister. Got her missing. Everybody makes mistakes, but he’s got to face the music,” says Jennifer Reid, Deidre's sister.
Bedford is a person of interest in connection with her disappearance. James Reid says her kids are hurting the worst right now, especially the youngest, Reid’s 7-year-old she has with Bedford.
"He dreams about his dad standing over her. He’s just petrified right now. He just doesn’t understand why someone who says they love him would take his mother away from him," says J. Reid.
They all want closure, but as eyes tear and voices tremble, James Reid says they need it especially for his nephew.
”You don’t have to do it for me. You don’t have to do it for my siblings. Do it for your son. Give your son closure,” says J. Reid.

“I want to reach out to Emmanuel, his son is hurting. He keeps asking me, ‘Uncle, why would my daddy not call and check on me while my mom is missing. He was the last one to be seen with my mom. Why would he want me to hurt?’” said James Reid.
Wednesday, Pageland police told WBTV their search is still ongoing. The investigation has spanned across three states: South Carolina, North Carolina and Georgia.
“We are still fighting to get Deidre home. The Pageland Police Department has been in touch with us regularly,” added Deidre’s sister, Jamie Avery.
“It’s like a nightmare. It’s like you want to scream but it feels like someone holding a hand over your mouth,” James Reid said.
For now, until Deidre Reid is back home safely, they’re holding on to memories.
“She loves to cook. She cooks for the whole family every Sunday. She loves to clean... She sees one spot, you get yelled at. Got to clean the whole house every day,” said Deidre's daughter, 15 year old Tateyona Patterson. “Support us. Help us find my momma.”
