this is 1 of those cases where every mom reads this and says no way. it is not like we think the mother must be dead or a liar. she just has to be close to dead. we look at our babies and know in our hearts we would die for them. we look at other cases like this 1. http://websleuths.com/forums/showthread.php?t=52360 this mom had the guy almost chop her hand off to save her child. call it human nature but most of us cant understand how the baby dies and mom walks away with a cut to her arm.

Great post! This Mom is guilty or protecting the guilty.

I truely hope I'm wrong about her. But my hinky meter has been right too many times. (Last one was the man who shot his wife & kids on the side of the hwy). Partly because I'm a mother and will do anything to defend my children. A mother trying to defend and protect her child is not going to let a piece of glass stop her from getting in the car. I would have stood on the hood and stomped out the windshield seeing my baby being suffocated. I don't think I've ever heard of a carjacking where they've harmed children they were aware or unaware were in the vehicle. Mothers have been seriously injured holding on to the car with her children in it. The car or the kid gets dumped pronto. They're not so stupid to get charged with kidnapping too.

The one article says that he forced her to drive around and the other drive just to a wooded area? If he knew of anywhere locally and it is such a small town, then he would have had to be from around there or familiar enough with the area. This whole story is very shady. It also mentioned police dogs picked up a scent in the woods at one point? A lot of people hitchhike in the country in SC and other states, the more rural areas. I wonder if she picked up a hitchhiker, dropped him off, then killed the son and gave a description of an innocent man. The story doesn't fit at all; a mother would go through hell and back to save their child, crash the car if you have to, etc. Stopped at an intersection and he got in? Was it a 4 way or a traffic light? so bizarre.. and if a carjacker wanted to silence the boy, he could have socked him one and most likely knocked him out, or threw him out of the car towards his mother. This story has some serious doubts. Either it is made up, or there may really be some bushy haired crazed "druggie" (i couldn't imagine anyone in their right mind doing that) running about.

Talk about a pithy post! You've narrowed it down to the absolute center of her story.

Bullsh!t story.

LOL! Yep!
I want to know what kind of car she was driving. Most cars have doors that automatically lock when the car is put in drive. Every one I've had since 1993 had that feature.

I agree kgeaux, the story smell's to high heaven! We'll know soon!

Remember, Cops do get a feeling about something real fast. They do this for a living.

Poor little kid. May he RIP. :(

Gonna have to agree with this one. Something stinks and the second I read the headline I thought, oh...has Susan Smith been released?

I've been wanting to say that I bet the sketch will look like someone in authority in her life, but my hinky meter has been off lately so I didn't. Then this posted at that forum Nana linked:

by "keidun"
Posted: Tue Aug 14, 2007 5:34 pm Post subject: The father and grandfather were on Channel four tonight.
The father said he was spending the weekend in the Greenville Detention Center.

He also brought up how the sketch resembles him as a much older man.
Maybe momma is making that up?

He is not a happy camper and neither is the grandfather.
They are asking a lot of questions, the same as people here are.

==
I can't remember the other cases where sketches have resembled someone in the perp's life, but I do recall those people were the killers, not the "mysterious" person in the sketch. This to me is another little item that has me thinking she has made this up. :(

God bless you. Wish I could feel like you. I am one who almost always wants to give the benefit of the doubt, but this time I just can't muster it up.

I feel the same way!

Two comments of note from the forum at the news site, keeping in mind anyone can post anything there, truthful or not:

driver43i know both families involved in this traggic event.both sets of grandparents who loved their grandson very much, i extend my deepest sympathy to you.
as far as her friends saying her world revolved around her son is a crock! if her my space was not on private you would be able to see just what type of mother she was.(pictures of her fridge filled with nothing but jello shooters and drunks in her house.)she would pawn her son off on anyone she could to have her nights like this.she could have taken him to a safe place and left him if she was tired of fooling with him.i know her and from the first time i heard this i said she did it! i will say that till the day i die.she was not a good mother in my opinion.she had no compassion for him nor anyone else.she was not a very friendly person.so just wait and see what im tell you she will be arrested for her sons murder.
MAY GOD HAVE MERCY ON YOUR SOUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

mizzmeJust a lil update, from a very reliable source, the mother was picked up this afternoon. And taken down to the Detention Center for more questioning. And charges are soon to follow....watch the news later tonight or first thing in the morning. Watch how this all unfolds. Once again, the public was right. Somethings are just instant. You can feel it. And this one story was just to unbelievable. The sheriff depatment didn't even believe her. They were just getting all their facts together first.....

There's at least one carjacking a month in the Houston area where a child is actually in the car (or close enough in numbers since carjackings are common as mosquitoes now) and not once--not once has the child been deliberately murdered.

Something smells, and it ain't last night's dinner.

This just breaks my heart! How can anyone be so cold and uncaring that they would deliberately do this??? If his mother is guilty, what must that dear child have thought as his last thoughts? It is too much to bear. IF she did it, I can only pray that she someday realizes what she has done. I hope she spends every waking hour, and every dream she has until her death reliving it, and being filled with the grief, horror and sadness that we all fill, only 1 million times over. If there really is a place called He!! (and I believe there is), I hope it is a place where peopel live for eternity with the magnitude of what they have done.

Hey and welcome to my page! Im single mother of a hyper 7 year old boy named Devon (aka Devil lol), a full time nursing student, a home health assistant, and one CRAZY 🤬🤬🤬 CHICK!!!.... Hell, Ill try anything once!...twice if I like it ;)..... I can be that gurl that sticks by your side and always has your back OR I can be that 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 that you never turn your back on- its all in how u treat me....Ive been through alot of 🤬🤬🤬🤬 just like every one has. That stupid saying "what doesnt kill you will only make you stronger" is so sadly true. Everything happens so that something better can come along. We just have to be patient and see what the future brings!! Sometimes we have to lose every thing we have to see what really matters in life... and that is LIFE itself! So as hard at seems, pick up the pieces and superglue them back together, and be thankful for every breath.. life is short so handle with care!!!
