Summerville PD searching for missing 15-year-old girl

The Summerville Police Department said Emma Matney was reported missing by a family member on August 31st.

She is described as a white female approximately 5’06 and 120 lbs. Matney has black hair, brown eyes, and was last seen wearing a white tank top, grey sweatpants, and black and white Nike flipflops.

Matney is known to frequent Lowcountry beaches and the Dorchester Road area of North Charleston.

The SPCSC twitter post is still up, and Emma is still missing. I tried to find a post about Emma on the Summerville PD Facebook page, but there were no missing adults/children on that page. I always feel like LE is missing an opportunity to get the public's assistance by not using their Facebook pages to post about the missing.

If you do a Facebook search for, "Emma Matney, 15, Summerville," there are some posts from self-identified relatives concerned about Emma.

Sadly appears to still be missing.

Her family says Emma is known to frequent low country beaches and the Dorchester Road area in North Charleston.

There is a post by family on 11th Sept that she was found and safe home, but nothing we can link here
