Found Deceased SC - Falon Michelle Cooksey, 30, Blacksburg, 10 Jun 2018

How did she get from Fallston NC to Blacksburg SC? And then to Grover NC then to Gaffney SC? I didn’t see a vehicle description so guessing she doesn’t have one?
Her mother took her and dropped her off in Blacksburg, SC. Then she got with several others who drove her places. She has many friends in Blacksburg, SC

One year later family continues search for missing loved one

(FOX CAROLINA) -- 365 days and counting. That’s how long Falon Michelle Cooksey has been missing.

Her family and friends say it’s hard dealing with the disappearance.

“It’s been tough the past year not knowing anything at all. Like, nothing. We hear stories and people saying “well I heard this, I heard this, but no one coming forward with anything concrete,” said Jamie Cooksey, a first cousin of Falon.

First article states she was last seen in Blacksburg. MP poster states last seen in Gaffney. I'm going with the location given in the first article.

Her Facebook page has her last post in June 10, 2018 which is also her missing date. Her posts appear to be emotional in nature. The comments are encouraging her to get help and she has listed herself as a stay at home Mom.

Details of Disappearance
A police officer saw and spoke to Cooksey at the Corner Shop Store on Cherokee Street in Blacksburg, South Carolina on the evening on June 10, 2018. She was seen at several other locations throughout the night.

In the early morning hours of June 11, a male friend picked her up at or near a residence on Highway 29 north near Grover, South Carolina, and drove her to the Gaffney Inn in Gaffney, South Carolina. Her cellular phone pinged in that area and she was active on text messaging until 9:32 a.m., after which either the phone was turned off or the battery died.

Cooksey has never been heard from again. She lived with her mother in Fallston, North Carolina at the time of her disappearance. She left behind two children, and her family stated it's uncharacteristic of her to not be in touch with them. Her case remains unsolved.

Help Us Find Missing Falon Michelle Cooksey

That April 19 post has an interesting comment. Sadly, it's something along the lines of what I was thinking. :(

Also noting the Charley Project shows her to have been picked up in Grover, SC. I believe that should be Grover, NC. With her noted as living in Fallston, NC - that would make much more sense. All JMOO

Yeah, she went off track. I’ve found multiple Facebook pages for her and the photos in the YouTube video confirm it is her.

They have updated this case on whns.com. The state LE is involved and local agency says it remains active.
Glad to see they're still working this.

Falon Michelle Cooksey - بحث Google

BLACKSBURG, S.C. (FOX Carolina) - June 11, 2018 was the last time family and friends saw Falon Michelle Cooksey alive. Two years later, they still want to know where she is.

A prayer vigil was held Thursday evening that brought out a handful of people to honor the missing woman.

Initially, the Blacksburg Police Department was in charge of the case, but this past March the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office took it over with help from SLED.

“This is not a cold case for us, this is an active case,” said sheriff Steve Mueller.

I live very close by this area and really don’t like the way it sounds. It wasn’t long ago that there was another girl found buried in some guy’s back yard in the same county. I hope we can get an answer on this soon.

After thinking of this today, I’m most disturbed by the cell phone just dropping out. It doesn’t seem that the charges that were pending would have been worth actually going on the run. There’s a lot of rural space in the area so it’s possible someone could hide out. That would be a nice outcome in this case but I wonder.

A major concern for me with this is that interstate 85 is very close by and from what I recall, it’s a pretty rural area where the Blacksburg exits are. In a recent case within the same county where a domestic situation turned to murder, the suspect was on 85 and in Alabama the same day.
