Do you have something specifically that HE's family kept from LE because of her lifestyle? I just don't see that here.

I only see Heather's mom and dad doing anything to help find Heather.

What difference would the picture have made if it was released the day she was reported missing to the public?

The 6 a.m. call was never kept from law enforcement so again what would it have changed had the public known about it
right away? How would this have helped find Heather? I guess I'm not undestanding what you all are saying here.

Some people may keep things from law enforcement because they think they are protecting the one they love but I don't see that
being the case here with Heather. I see family giving law enforcement everything they can from day one because they want the
one they love back.

I am not talking about her family. It doesn't matter. There are rules set in place here for a reason. I am not going down that path. I think releasing the text does a couple things. The timeline of the date was explained weeks later. Anyone who may have seen HE at the time may have forgot. Had they seen it at the time, they may have remembered being near her and seeing something or someone. Also, I know I am not alone and I hesitate to mention it, but when I saw the picture I questioned it was taken that night. I don't question that he received it that night or that the date is cleared. I wonder now, if that is why they didn't release it immediately because it really wasn't relevant information. If it was, I would think LE would have had it out in the first release. I am not saying that the 6am calls were kept from LE or that the family kept anything from them.

Maybe this says more about me and the people I surround myself with but I don't really see anything in her SM pages worth hiding from the public. I think it's just more about her age group and being able to post everything and anything. I can only thank my lucky stars that I was this age without cell phone cameras. There are plenty of pictures of me drinking out of a certain shaped straw at my sisters bachelorette party and dancing on some bars but I still think I'm a decent person and would hope the public would help if I were to come up missing. I mean the only thing I could see keeping from LE would be if she was pregnant with President Obama's love child or something! And no I am in no way suggesting this is what happened and why she is missing just it would have to be major to keep from them.

I see that escape2sc has really answered the question as I feel the same . Her lifestyle, imo ,was played down as were the tattoos, and social media pages. Some may ask ,does it play a role in her being brought home? I say it does ! This (all that's been mentioned) is who she is,like it or not ,agree with it or not. Her thoughts she put out there ,who she hung out with and how she was treated by peers and how she treated those same peers gives a clearer picture of her. So when people say ,maybe she ran away ..well why not ? she's a free spirit but one who may or may not be very close to her family/friends ..and that plays a role in determining what she is and is not capable of doing as per her character. It's more than just a pretty face that everyone is looking for, imo.

But... it wasn't played down to law enforcement and that's what matters in my opinion.

So you think the family should tell the public everything they told law enforcement? That would help find Heather?

or are you saying they should have told the public about all of her social media sites so we could go read them? Heck maybe they didn't know about them until they read them here who knows and I don't know that it would have helped find Heather if they had turned all of that over to the public.

I think they talk about the Heather they know and everything they have said is part of who Heather is. It's not the families place to put all that out to the public, it is their place to give law enforcement all the info they have and I think they have done that.

Here's another article about the remains found.

Body Found In Remote Whispering Hollow Rd Area In Greenville Co.

The Greenville County Coroner's Office said they're not sure exactly how long but the body was decomposed to where it could have been several weeks to a few months.

Coroner Parks Evans said they have an idea of who the body may be but dental records may hold the key to finding the exact identity.

The set of teeth that was discovered was in tact when investigators examined it and there was extensive dental work done, officials said Thursday

Greenville County + Myrtle Beach.

Don't mind the Salisbury pin... was thinking of Erica Parsons and thought I'd check that out too.

ETA: didn't notice the Nov '13, oops. Well, still a BD possibility? I recall something about her having had braces. Sorry for the OT in any case.

ETA again: apparently I can't read.. at all.. The area I linked is indeed the intersection mentioned in the January '13 article.

I think this was a different set of remains. There were some other remains found on Thursday in this area. One is from November and one is from January 24th 2014

Agree. LE knew about OM from day 1.

http://www.myhorrynews.com/news/local/aynor/article_e27b8722-81fa-11e3-a440-001a4bcf6878.html

The previous night- meaning LE talked to OM on the day they found the car.

Every time I see the word "admitted", it gives the impression of being reluctant information. OM didn't fess up until he was confronted with the phone record? Did he not realize they could/would look at Heather's calls or did he call from an unidentifiable phone number and did not know Heather told someone else she was talking to him?

BBM: This is why I am hoping if OM or OMW are involved in something bad that happened to HE that they made a mistake along the line and it helps catch them. Not just them but anyone who may have done something bad to her, I hope they made a mistake that helps catch them soon!! *JMO*

Respectfully, I don't see how, say, an eating disorder is going to have any affect on location her body.

ETA: I DO agree with some of your point, who she is will help find her.

I can think of two reasons the family would withhold information or not address the rumors

1) LE has asked them to withhold the information
2) the information or rumors have absolutely nothing to do with Heather's disappearance.

I have a daughter who was sexually assaulted and another daughter who is Bipolar and has done some crazy things and put herself in dangerous situations . If one were to go missing and someone mentioned they had heard she had been sexually assaulted or she did drugs, or met guys through online dating. And I was certain those events were not related to her going missing and LE had assured me there was no connection.. I wouldn't address the rumors either. Confirming or addressing a rumor just muddies up the water and it takes the focus off of what is known as fact .

Also, at the risk of getting a t/o.. I really wish the speculation of Heather having a health condition would stop. Her family has begged, pleaded and petitioned for media coverage on Heather's disappearance. Her father has bared his heart and soul, pain and torment for all the world to see. IF Heather had a health condition and providing that information would of brought Heather's story one more minute in the media, there is no way her father would of withheld that information.

Why do you think this all came to light because of other people? I mean law enforcement talked to friends and family from the very beginning right? The room mate, the date, the ex, om. I don't see any of them keeping info from law enforcement and that's what matters imo.

Sorry, I meant publicly. I'm not suggesting for one moment that LE weren't made aware of HEs lifestyle/life choices. All I'm saying is that things which may be seen as tarnishing HEs name by her family and so were not released publicly (such as OM situation) are the very things which could help members of the public think "oh yeah, this or that could be important". If people aren't made aware things like this then how can people possibly know if they have any information which may be useful or even vital in locating HE

I agree, however, I think the contents of SM do shed light on the odds of a person committing suicide, running away, or possible foul play. What I have seen makes me feel that there is a good reason to believe that she met with foul play, more than running away, killing herself or a stranger abduction. But the family has a right to some privacy because in the end, it is LE who end up using this stuff to track down POI and possible scenarios to bring them home. I think the SM drama is just that, Drama and it is entertaining at best.

My apologies if this is a repeat. I don't think this is Heather, but hope it's one of the 28 missing in SC.

According to reports the sheriff’s office has not yet made a determination as to the cause of death, the identity of the remains or the period of time in which they were located in the area.
