Its a good point but one thing for sure is if I was in that situation I would definitely organize private volunteer search groups and look for her in those areas near the gravel pits, holding ponds, small creeks etc near the landing.

I would of course try to be sure to do things with LE blessing and make sure it is organized properly but I would let nothing stop me. If they said they would not recommend it, then I would just make sure I follow the letter of the law and make sure to get permission in writing from any business or landowner for any private land searched.

Just searching. No asking questions of potential witnesses or any of that business. Just searching for her. As far as I know, there should be no law that prevents that as it is similar to hiking and nobody should be able to stop people from looking for her if they want to. With permission from landowners of course which limits where we could look.

I would try to have weekly saturday searches at a minimum for as long as i was able. If the numbers dwindled down, I would go myself with just a few friends and family members.

And for that matter, I would probably end up buying my own search dog. Preferably trained in advance.
I have said since the beginning that if she were slain ,considering where her car was found I would be searching all those roads off of Peachtree Rd. in those ponds , atv trails etc.

I think she may have left by car with someone else. That's what I suspect anyway.

I'd like to revisit TE driving the car home from PTL. I may regret this :)
I believe he was not immediately alarmed (please do not send links to convince me otherwise I know he has said he was, and has said things that one could conclude he was but I also consider the fact that maybe people have reasons for portraying things slightly different than they really were when those things will be printed and on the internet for all eternity) anyway;

I believe that TE was not immediately frantic, overly worried and this contributed to his decision to drive HE's car from PTL. I do not think he wore gloves despite what some may or may not have said.
I'd like to hear from those who think he was immediately worried/frantic, why you think he drove the car away from PTL. Especially if you think he wore gloves to drive the car home.

This makes zero sense to me because if I felt I needed to wear gloves to preserve potential evidence or worse yet, if LE suggests I wear gloves to preserve potential evidence that's when I'd dig my heels in and insist it be processed right there, or I'd leave and let them tow it if they wouldn't bring in someone to process it,
But I have an open mind and would like to consider other possibilities. Can't wrap my head around this unless he wasn't immediately alarmed and/or HE had maybe left her car places before. I know a lot of us here think he was immediately worried about HE so how do his actions fit this scenerio?
The gloves blow my mind (because that is an acknowledgement that something may be very wrong) and I'm wondering if that part was true or not.

I agree with you in regards of TE not being frantic.HE is/was the wild child and maybe anything could have been expected of her..like leaving her car there and partying with friends. Lets face it , he didn't hear from her in awhile(after the photo/text) and that didn't raise any alarms. The whole thing with him wearing gloves is absurd if you really think about it..never heard of it in any other case with anybody except LE doing that. Just more "fluff" to add into this sad case.

I still want to know why TE said Heather going into cosmetology was something that came out of the blue. It was definitely something she went to school for while in HS. So is it possible TE was maybe referring to Heather going into the graphic makeup / artistry for runway & print aspect? Cosmetology in HS normally covers the basic haircuts, hairstyles, and beauty (everyday makeup, manicures, pedicures, skin care, etc). I think Heather took it farther after HS, maybe bc "out of the blue" she decided she didn't wanna just do the normal local haircuttery & beauty?
Well one of the first things she did out of HS was to go out to California with a friend to get into the music business and there is no mention of her even remotely working in the cosmetology field after that trip out west. So I guess it would be out of the blue for her to get a job in the one field she was qualified to work in. I also feel she was tired of the restaurant/bar jobs with their hours and seeing as a hostess that it was a dead end job career wise.

It looks like the units are back to back so there wouldn't be a back door, right? I'd think the only door you'd want to enter through would be the hallway door so you could leave the patio door/sliding door locked if you lived on the first floor.

Yes it looks like no back door, but you are right, imo, the first floor units have sliders.

It doesn't make sense to me that someone would kill her and leave her car in plain site. Why not put the car in the water or burn it or move it far away, obviously HE had her keys with her. It just doesn't seem like someone lured her out to PTL with intent to kill her IMO I am still curious about VEBF and where he was that night, WHO he is and why he was all "if she hides I will find her" Who is this guy? Is he okay to sleuth or ONLY after (if) his name is released. This is such a strange case.

Did she spend Thanksgiving at home? If so, no photos from that day?
Anyway...photos or no...I doubt she will be spotted alive :(
I also think they must know she was alone in her car and drove it to the dock herself, unless they are seriously inept, since they did not show the car, asking for tips.

Megan Sharptons murderer left her car in the middle of a bridge. Doors open and everything.

Kinda crazy ain't it? What's the logic? To show diversity? I always thought the most recent pics should go on a missing poster.

It seems that's how her parents remember her..the last 2 years of HE's life ,imo, she was her own person ,doing what she wanted(remember what she wrote about what her parents thought of her tattoos)and seeing who she wanted to see....she stepped into the fast lane.

Why not? Getting in the car and putting it somewhere only leaves more of a trail imo. A car is a lot harder to get rid of then a body. We have very little to go off of right now, so it sure has us stumped.

I thought thought that was a good idea but I also can see why they didn't go for it. That is a local launch/hang out. With all the media /posters etc distributed (I wonder if there are posters at PTL) I'm sure if anybody saw something ,it would have been reported by now. Maybe if they had it(her in the car) on the posters in the beginning it would have helped.

When is the MB tourist season? peak season?

It starts picking up the beginning of March when colleges go on spring break and then it drops off for a week or two after Easter... and then after Memorial Day, it goes guns blazing until Labor Day. After Labor Day, it pretty much drops off. I'd say June & July are the two busiest months though.

I keep waiting for that AHHhhhhh moment that everything falls into place in my mind. It hasn't come yet.

I wish we had more info. on OM, OMW & VEBF.

I don't see a random serial killer in this case unless possibly the person is known to HE as an example, one of the people above but even that is a stretch for me at the moment.

It may have been a beneficial for someone to leave it there.
A set up?
To keep an eye on things?

My question is if she had a history of meeting people/someone there, who was it and what did they do?
Did she regularly meet people there for a ride elsewhere?
Did she meet people there to purchase something?
Did she meet people there for some recreation?

It is possible that LE knows she drove to dock, knows she met OM there...but cannot prove anything beyond that. Her father seems determined that she came to harm at the hands of someone known to her. His pleas tend to be asking for someone who knows where she ended up to come forward, more directed toward a witness/accomplice than the perp, IMO.

Not sure if I agree that more than one person knows where she is, or if so, that the accomplice/witness would be compelled to talk in any case. Usually it takes divorces, deaths or other life changes for this to happen, which can be years away. JMO

Appealing to conscious does not seem to be working.

I think they used pictures that they already had. Most of the recent ones of her were from her twitter, & social media. It could be as simple as the dad didn't know about them or how to get to them. Even the one driving in the car, it could simply be he didn't know how to print it. :dunno:

I also get the impression from her twitter that she didn't have the best relationship with at least her father. Particularly this one:

<Mod Snip> :twocents:
keep in mind he owns a printing business where he uses computers everyday..so I think he would be able to print an image off the internet, jmo

I wonder if there are videos of her driving to PTL, if they do know she was in the car herself, but the videos are not being released?
I wonder if her phone pinged at PTL?
I wonder where her phone pinged last?
IMOO.

I wonder if the more innocent side of the OM and OMW has no idea what the other did?
OMW proclaiming OM innocence? OM keeping every detail to himself?

Idk.
TE seems to be pleading what he knows to be the case.
Problem is, psychopaths have no conscience to appeal to. They don't think the way normal folks do. They have no empathy or soul to appeal to.

Hatfield, your post describes a
somewhat similar approach taken in the search for Sierra LaMar, aided by KlaasKidsSearch. The searches are conducted almost every weekend, even through Sierra disappeared on March 16, 2012 and the Santa Clara County DA is pursuing a capital case fraught with delays.
I have close friends who are on closely coordinated searches, and their dedication to the cause is unrivaled IMHO. Perhaps it is because KKS became involved early on, and Sierra is a minor. However, I truly believe the allegiance of the community to help bring Sierra home shows in their willingness to continue on.

I'm not sure what it would take to coordinate such efforts for Heather. From what I've seen, the people of Myrtle Beach and Horry County are deeply vested in Heather's plight (turnout at searches appeared strong, etc.), therefore, I have hope that your recommendations can be implemented.

Every case is different, I realize that. With the lack of communication from LE, we are left to wonder what is happening behind the scenes and why.

Forgive me for the long reply. Your post resonated with me, and I just wanted to share some parallels and perspective with you. I truly hope for positive progress soon.
