This is not my first missing person case, but this is my first missing person case where the physical description of the tattoos have never been given. I have seen a list of her eye color, hair, weight, but not tattoos, and that isn't normal. It's not. I am not going to use the words hiding. I find it odd. Every missing person I know has had them listed and have followed many on here, FB, and with locally with my family in LE. I don't pass any of her fliers the family made around because last I looked they had the wrong number, which was not LE. The wrong date the car was found abandoned, according yo LE. Some of the pictures are so old. So, to help, someone created something with the correct date, LE phone number, tattoos, newer pictures, and is waiting on LE approval to use. Jmo.
I understand what you're saying - totally valid point.
Imo, I believe the missing posters have LE's number as well as TE's because we have such a large illegal population here in MB. I think there are a large number of people here who don't feel comfortable calling LE to give a tip when they feel they might be questioned or draw attention to themselves. Also, some have called the tip number and gotten voicemail instead of a person. I think the family wanted to be sure that there was an option there for anonymous tips that could be taken day or night without worry.
I recently had to make an anonymous tip about something (totally unrelated to this) and got a voicemail, I hung up I called back and got voicemail again, I really didn't want to leave info on the voicemail, and I didn't want to give my number to call back. I ended up creating a new email address to send my anonymous tip in - I never got a response. A few days later I finally got thru to a person to give them my tip. I'm glad I was persistent enough to keep calling back, but I don't think most people would be. I have nothing to hide but I was protecting the person I got the info from (it would affect their job).
