I knew that SM would be on because I knew that the news was at his house, but I didn't expect him to speak, as any lawyer would tell him not to. I didn't expect to get any information regarding HE or anything in that regard because we just received an update. I knew that BB would give us nothing, as I predicted he would justify what he did. TE did as well previously. What I had hoped to gain, I did. All I wanted to hear was from LE, on their take on things on SM and how it affects this case and their view on everything because what is being told is completely different. So, for me, I got what I was looking for, and much more.

I have never believed that LE released the police report and after watching this, I believe even more that they are not the ones who released it. [modsnip]

I believe LE is upset that the police report was released and some of the actions caused their unnamed suspect(s) to lawyer up (perhaps prematurely).

It is not LE's fault if there is no physical evidence ex. no gun, no knife, no blood, no body. Any texts & pm's are vital to help clear or hopefully convict at some point, but apparently not enough for an arrest at this time. If someone was arrested right now for instance, what would the charge be?

They need to find Heather, yet are they searching? Have they given up on searching? I can understand though with the SM if they are keeping that aspect quiet.

I guess I can't say that I was disappointed even though I was hoping to learn something new. But, the broadcast keeps this case active publicly. And I think that's important.

A lot of us speculated that Heather and SM had continued to see each other. Did we hear before that it ended over a month ago? That makes sense with some of the comments that have been put out there.

I believe SM said he wanted to leave his wife. Can't say that I blame him. If you have an argument with your husband a month after he ended an affair, and he walks out of the house and slams the door after that fight... where do you think he might go?

We didn't really get anything new, so all we can do is continue to think of other scenarios.

LOL - remember, LE did not release the "unredacted" report. The report LE released was redacted. The problem was that the redacting was done on Adobe, and folks with Adobe could remove it easily, so that they could see the entire report. So, yes, I would say this particular LE office needs to tighten up their procedures so this doesn't happen again. From listening to the LE in the News, I think they have figured that out.

I agree and it seemed to me they are the agency that released a redacted report to media when it was foiled. Maybe they should have redacted the information better. Also I believe if they had held press conferences it could have helped with all the fb speculating.

One thing that bothers me is they are so shocked by the SM response and how it could possibly be hurting the investigation. I would think the citizens of Horry County have allowed for LE to do investigations in the past without demanding answers and it has gotten no where examples: BD, CS, AB and the other 23 people still missing.

I am sorry you didn't get what you were looking for in the news piece. I had zero expectations that we would find out where Heather is by watching because I knew the people talking were TE and BB and they do not hold the answers. No clue where HE is, but I know LE is working really hard on this case. It is shame that they keep getting pulled in so many different directions off the case. Hopefully that will stop, so they can solely focus on bringing HE home.

The reporter stated the HE case will forever change how Missing Person's cases are investigated and handled. My response to this is thank god! Lets hope that means they will put more people on it and handle it better.

LE did not seem happy about the information that has been released..and I think they were referencing some information that slipped out on the FHE, as well as the initial police report.

Perhaps, I did not listen close enough, but I did not get the impression LE has told TE anything since the initial police report was made public.

On that note...would TE have his own copy of the police report to pass along to myhorrynews ???

What was the reporter and TE referencing about a fact sheet? Was it something that TE developed?
