Hope and Pray that Heather's family and friends finally get some answers. Hello to all of you. I posted as LittleBitty35 (you may know me from a few threads) but I couldn't remember my old password and it was tied I think to an old email. Any rate, that old account is still there...but I am posting as Bittiness now.

Question: I should know this, legal degree and all, but how long can they hold these two in custody without charging them? I hope charges are forthcoming if possible.

We don't know exactly why they were arrested yet...but he is the man Heather had been seeing and was the last to speak with her in a series of calls before she vanished. Charges have not been made public. Seems to be some local video involved. JMO

Thanks. At work and trying to look all important and busy at my desk. It is my understanding that initially SM refused to cooperate with the investigation. Did he never make a formal statement to LE at all? If he never spoke to them surveillance footage and stuff found later are not going to prove he lied to LE. So I just wonder if this is in relation to his claims of being shot at last night and a week or so ago also. Just curious.

It is possible they could be holding them on suspicion of fraud or something (financial discrepancies mentioned in many articles) and conducted a search to put pressure on them? I have no idea. I have followed this case up until the last week or so so I don't know what new developments there are other than they are being held or arrested (which I don't know) and that LE is all over their property with the US Marshalls and the US Attorney...

Being a Disney only travel agent is pretty common. A lot of Disney die hards seem to try it out at some point. I'm guessing it was legit, but probably didn't make much money.

But it allowed them to travel, A LOT!

I'm praying for Heather and her family. I haven't posted on this thread but I have been following everything here, the news and the Facebook page for Heather. The couple's photos and mug shots all along gave me the creeps they just felt off. Like you all I wonder what they might have done. It is clear the wife was not happy with her husband's behaviour given her attitude about Heather being missing. If all the Facebook and other stuff is allowed as evidence in a trial it is not going to make the jury see them in a positive light.

Early on I wondered if SM was a hunter of some sort, and would probably be comfortable in the woods. I came across this picture weeks ago. Do non-hunters wear this?

They could have picked up every camera along that route from their place to the lake/boat ramp. It takes forever from what I have heard in past cases to review all of the footage. It is interesting that they allege they were shot at last night and picked up this morning.

It says what time TM was booked. 8:50am. The search warrants were delivered to their residence a little after 7:00am today.I understand they have three juvenile children (I guess all their kids) so perhaps police allowed her to make arrangements for them to be with relatives for the weekend? They never said what time SM was booked. I am guessing earlier than her.
