Nothing super to add except I'm taking Bee's advice and am working on an extensive timeline, after which I also intend to do a fact sheet and a map (or two, haven't decided yet.)

My OCD kicked in *cough* too much info so I feel a need to organize. If someone else wants to do some go ahead I won't be upset, but I'll still do mine because of the afore mentioned OCD.

Mods, where should I post these when done?

Thanks! Just starting to look thru there now. :)

Salem - thanks for the link! I'll start with the police report before the media thread. May as well start at the very beginning... I'll see if I can do a timeline tomorrow if nobody gets to one in the meantime but it's going to take me until at least then - I'm on Eastern time so it's already 10pm here. :)

edit - wait that is the whole police report? it looks like a screencap of just the first page of the report, unless it's really very short.... hm.

nevermind, editing because i found it online and it really is this short. How bizarre.

The police report is actually 3 pages long, but I didn't save the link.

It is three pages long. I messaged the Mods to let them know they were linking to a screen cap to redacted Image of Page #1 earlier today, but didn't hear back.

Unless I'm imagining things....

I can't speak for the motives as to why people post on SM, but I think I can speak for most of us on WS and why we're here: to ensure that justice is served for the victims and their families who suffer horrendous crimes. It is important for our society that we all keep a watchful eye on justice, crime, and how our society patrols itself. Remember, we all could be a victim in an instant if the situation presents itself---certainly if there is a society that provides no punishment or at least some tools or mechanisms to ensure safety. All of our voices and all of our efforts are important to ensuring we can live in a safe society. It is absolutely that important and that's why I love WS.

I'd like to add that I wish patience, composure, and grace to the family of HE at this time. I'm certain that there will be an outcome and that justice will be served.

And last, a big hello to GG....good to see you here!

:seeya:

ATasteOfHoney, good post, and we have had friends or family of websleuths members go missing. I can remember one person in particular, while we were sleuthing another case, just not the specifics or the name. It was a couple of years ago. A thread was started and it went like clockwork, and they were located successfully the same day..

Here is the first map I have. It's been a joy since our internet is messed up and has been for 2 days. Other maps will follow. When all are done, I will put them together in the Media thread, so if you want me to add something, or fix something, please let me know.

Welcome to the thread GGE. I really enjoyed your input and mapping & organizational skills in past threads, specifically the recent Israel Keyes thread.

Be absolutely sure you have the REDACTED copy :) That's why I recommended the link in the first post.

This is beautiful! Thank you! Do you know how to post the link to the google map so that we can go directly to it and move around on it and make it bigger (my eyes are old and tired :))?

Yes - but that is because that is all that is allowed at this point in time. We are NOT using the nonredacted PR, nor the names/locations/etc. of anyone that has not been named in the MSM.

Hope that helps,

Salem

The talent show episode was my favorite.

lol! That's the episode I watched after reading on Heather's twitter that she had just watched Myrtle Manor. Since I'd never heard of the show, I looked it up and found three episodes on 'On Demand'. I chose the earliest episode where the talent show was featured.

Anyway, Heather tweeted that she had just watched Myrtle Manor but didn't know why because she didn't learn anything - something like that.
A tweet from somebody else said something like 'there's an hour of my life I'll never get back! lol!

The other day, can't remember where, I heard someone refer to the Housewives brand shows, that she couldn't stop watching, as "carwash TV". Her comment cracked me up!

So what, who cares. :blushing:

They can be posted in the media/timeline thread for this case and they can be posted right here in the thread for discussion.

Media/timeline thread is linked in the first post and right here: SC SC - Heather Elvis, 20, Myrtle Beach, 18 Dec 2013 *Media Links, Timelines, Maps* - Websleuths Crime Sleuthing Community

Thank you so much!

Oh I'm absolutely sure that I have the copy that I most wanted to see, alright. :)

So, everyone's all :scared: :scared: because what else can we do here at this point? I get it now.

Sometimes it's all in the redacted stuff. Which means we got nuthin to discuss here for now.

Which is a big part of why we need to try very hard to make a ws-friendly timeline.

I'm so glad people are on it, and I can sit back and try to figure out what I can actually post in this thread, LOL.

Thanks! I have a lot of work to do with him... that fellow dominates my existence when I give him half a chance. Still haven't finished updating my map with the last of the big fbi timeline information and for all I know there could be new info since August... (sorry for the O/T moment, everyone!)

Great start Ghostwheel.

Could you maybe put Heather's parents house in and also the location where she was learning to drive with her date please?

TIA

I do, but have to wait for my internet to start working correctly. Every time I think I have it saved correctly, it isn't. I have been trying to add the location for the stick shift driving lesson, as I found it reported on MSM (http://www.myhorrynews.com/news/crime/article_4170d766-7d30-11e3-a2db-001a4bcf6878.html), and haven't been able to do so. My apologies for the delay. My cable company stinks.

Very well said! Thank you for phrasing it exactly that way!

Working on # 2 (see post above) but is there an MSM link for the parent's address? TIA.

I have not sleuthed ANYONE in this case. This is just my own opinion based on facts and whimsy: I think this case will have a sad outcome and the responsible party will be arrested and held accountable. I hope it's sooner than later. I'll see if anything is left undone when I check in tomorrow but it looks and sounds like some great people here who are far more knowledgeable about this case than me already have timelines and maps under control here.

Which is good because tomorrow I'm going to be busy for at least a little while bumping a newer "cold case" that is my pet, and that I need WS's help with.

edit - :seeya: AToH!
